Cedar Rose
04/01/2003 - 12/3/2018Dear Cedar,
Thanks for being one of my closest of friends growing up. How lucky I was to have a puppy at such a young age to grow up and play together with. You were such a ball of energy even in your older years! You were such a good swimmer, you loved to play sports with us, we would wrestle and wrestle for hours, and undoubtedly, you’ll always be the tug-o-war champion of our house. Almost every family memory I have, has you in it. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. Your tenderness and love were so sweet and so precious. We used to take naps in your cage together and snuggle in the car on road trips. You’d greet everyone at the door with a warm welcome, which would typically then lead into you luring them over to the couch where you could kiss them and cuddle them properly. You loved to be the center of attention and the life of the party! No Christmas will ever be the same without you opening my gifts for me. You’re the best dog I’ll ever have and my best friend growing up. Who knew a dog could be so selfless... you welcomed in a new dog into your home and showed her all the ropes. The best older sister Gyp could ask for. You never competed for attention or anything you just kept on loving and loving. You’d comfort us when we were weak and sad. You were always there. Even when dad was going through chemo, he’d come home and you guys would snuggle all day long. I love you sooo much Cedar Roses and we will always miss you, but always remember you with a warm smile on our faces and feeling in our hearts... not just as a dog, but as a cherished member of our family.
