8/3/2017Oh, my sweet punkin….nine years ago, this past May I left my home in NW Reno to run down to the PetSmart. The SPCA had brought you in that Saturday to be adopted. I saw you and you were so friendly and so beautiful. They let me open the cage door and pet you. I told myself I just came in to look, nothing more. So, I went home but kept thinking about you. I brought my son back two hours later and thank God you were still there. I took you home that day and what love and affection you gave me through personal tough times and a diagnosis of breast cancer myself. You were there for me through thick and thin. I had had a lot of cats in my lifetime, but none that I bonded with as much as you. It was as if you could read my mind. We communicated, the two of us. You protected me also and you gave me unconditional love. I found out in June you now had breast cancer as well and it was going to be quick, very quick. I made up my mind to spend every minute I could with you and to never leave you alone again. Dr. Mowatt helped me take care of you in the best way we could. It has been one week today since you left us. I love you so much, sleep well my love, will see you again one day….Debbie PuckettCarmichael, CaliforniaAugust 10, 2017

Dear Sweet Lexie,
You were so lucky to be so fully loved and get the perfect forever home with Debbie! To share that special bond that transcends species is a true gift. Please say hello to my 4 legged friends on the bridge. There are many that wait on the bridge with you now, including my heart cat, Blanco, and a very special horse named Shasta.

Dear Debbie,
I am so glad you found your heart cat. Lexie was very special. I truly believe they come into our lives to share their secrets with us and befriend us; but, alas, it always seems that their time with us is too short. It was my honor to help your sweet angel. I will remember you both forever.
