Raya Sunshine

Darling Raya, these are some of the Friends You Will Meet. Jane. She was my little scholar and a real beauty, too. She had 20 or more plush toys in her basket and if I asked her to go find her fawn, she would pick out that exact one and bring it right to me. She will teach you how to play with toys. Trixie. She was my little huntress. In her transition from farm girl to city dweller, she won the most improved dog award at dog school. She will teach you to enjoy walking in the woods.  Bailey. A handsome border collie, Bailey was my athlete. He could perform a four foot vertical leap from a stand-still position. He will teach you how to greet humans when they get home from their jobs in heaven.  You’ll also meet Tyler, Tiger, Samantha, and all the farm cats, including Mama and her littlest one, Stone Belt. You will love them all, as I did. And they will love you, as I do. I ask you, dearest Raya, to teach them well what you taught me: nothing could ever be more perfect than imperfection.

Teddy

To my sweet, delicate, serious, goofy boy. I will always admire and cherish your quiet, gentle, eager to please manner. My heart aches terribly. I miss your white muzzle speckled with brown dots, that perfect nose, those too huge fuzzy paws, watching you roll on the carpet in delight, you leaning your head into my hand as I rub that spot behind your curly ears, the grunty sounds you make in your sleep, your soulful eyes, your presence. I hope the tears I gave you to carry up to heaven with you remind you of my deep eternal love. By now you should have found your brothers to comfort and play with you and granddad to take care of you and continue your walks until we meet at the bridge. I am forever grateful for your unconditional love, devotion and companionship. Thank you, friend. There will never be another quite like you. PS Have all the treats and pup cups you want! Love, Mommy

Edna

Today we had to say goodbye to our sweet Edna. She was my best friend—my first baby. We were once 1 and 24, growing up together, figuring life out side by side. There was never a stranger to her, never an enemy. She loved everyone. The only thing that ever got the better of her was a run-in with dark chocolate—but even that just became another story in a life full of love. Edna had a way of teaching what really matters. Forgiveness. Kindness. Pure, unconditional love. She was everything we hope to be as humans, wrapped up in the most beautiful soul. She was the comfort and cornerstone of our home. A constant. A presence you don’t realize fills every space until it’s gone. We made the hardest decision to let her go peacefully at home, surrounded by love. We gave her all her favorite foods, held her close, and told her how much she meant to us. Gabby sat with us, saying goodbye to her best friend. Emmett has only ever known life with Edna and her sister—his forever playmates—and that makes this loss feel even bigger. I don’t know how the house will feel without her. I don’t know how mornings will look feeding the horses without her right there beside me, or how rides will feel without her coming along. But I do know this—she was deeply loved, and she loved us right back every single day. Thank you, Edna, for everything. You were truly one of a kind. We will carry you with us in everything we do.

Tyke

Tykey, mommy and sissy love you and miss you so much. We are heartbroken. Ezzy has been sniffing and sleeping in your spot. I put the blanket up like a canopy over your heated blanket the way you liked. Thank you for loving us. You are my most cherished gift. What a blessing your life was to so many. We will see you again in eternity. I love you my angel, forever.

Freddie

I love you Freddie, my best friend and childhood dog. You were not only the most innocent and loving dog I’ve ever had the pleasure of having but you were so emotionally intelligent and caring. You made everyone around you happy. I love you to the moon and back. Thank you for being with me for ten years of my life, I spent more time alive with you by my side then without, It’ll take me a while to get used to being without you again. Te amo, mi panzon

Chewy Silvia

Chewy wasn’t just a dog—she was family, my childhood, and a piece of my heart that I’ll carry forever. We grew up together. From the time I was 9 years old to now, she was always there—through every stage of life, every high and every low. She was strong, loyal, and full of love in a way that only she could give. 18 years wasn’t enough, but I’m so grateful for every single one of them. Chewy wasn’t just there for the good times—she showed up when it mattered most. During my mom’s cancer treatments, when life felt heavy and overwhelming, Chewy stayed by her side. When I couldn’t always be there, Chewy was. She gave my mom comfort, companionship, and a kind of quiet strength that helped her through one of the hardest times in her life. I will always be grateful to her for that. I held Chewy in my arms as she passed. It was the hardest moment of my life, but I’m grateful she wasn’t alone. She left this world surrounded by love, just like she gave her whole life. I hope she knew how deeply she was loved. I hope she felt safe. And I hope she knew it was okay to go to doggy heaven and to finally rest.

Lucy

Lucy was more than just a dog—she was a gentle, good-natured soul who brought warmth, joy, and comfort to everyone lucky enough to know her. Lucy didn’t have the easiest start in life. As a rescue, she came from a place of uncertainty, but she was given a second chance—and it was clear that it was for a reason. From the moment she joined her family, she filled their lives with a kind of love that only comes from a grateful and deeply loyal heart. From the very beginning, Lucy had a heart that was eager to please. She seemed to understand, in her own special way, just how to be exactly what her family needed. She was devoted and loving, always happiest when she was close by, quietly keeping watch or simply sharing space with the people she loved most. Lucy found joy in life’s simple pleasures—long walks, playing in the water, car rides, and, of course, an abundance of treats. She had a playful spirit and loved games like hide and seek, always ready to join in the fun. She was also full of surprises, showing off her impressive tricks like balancing a Coke can on her head or dramatically playing dead, bringing laughter and amazement to those around her. She had a special gentleness with the little ones in the family. Lucy was patient, calm, and watchful, always seeming to keep a close eye on them as if it was her job to make sure they were safe and cared for. She moved around them with such care and kindness, earning their trust and becoming both a protector and a best friend. She was not only a beloved companion to her humans but also a loyal friend to every dog who joined the family. Lucy welcomed each one with patience and kindness, setting the tone for friendship and belonging. Of course, she had her mischievous moments too—like the unforgettable time she and Lily were caught standing on the table, happily sharing pizza and proving that even angels have a playful side. And then there were her wonderfully silly moments that made her even more special—like the time she was allowed to sit at the table and eat pancakes, carefully keeping her paws off the table as if she understood the rules and was determined to follow them. It was such a simple moment, but perfectly captured who Lucy was: sweet, eager to please, and just a little bit funny.

William Villa

My sweet William, you’ve left a huge void in our hearts, and a home full of memories. You were one of a kind, lazy yet full of energy when needed, you loved kisses, and attention from everyone around. Always ready to please everyone no matter who they were. I will miss you my sweet boy because you know me better than I know my self. Rest in peace because you deserve that and more!
