Lucy

Lucy is the best yellow Lab I've ever known. She came into my life just a short time after my black Lab, Gracie, died. My mom said that since "Lucy" means light, she was helping to dispel the darkness after losing Gracie. Indeed, she showed that light her entire life by being such a wonderful friend to me and to Lily, in particular, but she loved to meet new people (often with excited barks!) and taking puppy walks (especially with Lily.) She is forever loved, and there is definitely a Lab-sized hole in our hearts as we mourn her death. O Lord our God, we come before You this day in sadness. Lucy, who brought us so much joy in life, has now died. Her happy times in our family’s embrace have come to an end. We miss Lucy already. Help us, O God, to remember the good times with Lucy. Remind us to rejoice in the happy times she brought to our home. Let us be thankful for the good life we were blessed to give to her. We are grateful to You, God, for creating Lucy, for entrusting her to our care, and for sustaining her in our love for a measure of time. We understand that all that lives must die. We knew that this day would come. And yet, O God, we would have wanted one more day of play, one more evening of love with Lucy. O God, as we have taken care of Lucy in life, we ask that You watch over her in death. You entrusted Lucy to our care; now, we give her back to You. May Lucy find a happy new home in Your loving embrace. As we remember Lucy, may we love each other more dearly. May we care for all Your creatures, for every living thing, as we protected the blessed life of Lucy. May her memory bless our lives with love and caring forever. Amen.

Shelby Rey

Shelby Rey, you know I love you so, and mommy will never let you go. To the stars and the sky. You'll always be mommy's little guy. I will remember you while looking at the moon so bright, feeling the gentle breeze in the pines, and in the golden sunlight of the morning sky, there you will be soaring so high and free.

Finn

Finn Demian Brooks was the spunkiest, most loved, spoiled, and cherished little prince in the entire world. He stole my heart one crisp morning in late winter/early spring of 2011, and has made a lasting imprint in my life and the lives of our loved ones forever. Finn earned his nickname "Bust" on a summer backpacking trip on the Art Loeb trail in North Carolina with his mom and uncle Roost in 2013 after busting through a field of tall grass, and garnered a plethora of other loving nicknames throughout his life that exemplified his gregarious, adventurous and loving character: Bub, Bubby, Bubba, Bustas, Huskies, Husk, Huskas, Little Prince, Bubbins, Little Bear… it got to the point where if you said any word that started with the sound “Buh…,” he knew he was being talked about and adored. Anyone who met Finn immediately noted his striking beauty, his hilarious attitude, and undeniable charisma. Almost every single walk we took, someone had to comment how "beautiful" he was. Finn was my whole heart. Part of my soul left to be with him in the next life, I am certain of that. I know he is romping and racing across sunny fields and snowy terrains, tongue lolling, pale blue eyes glistening with pure joy. It was time for my baby to move on from this life we know here, and on to the next dimension. He isn’t gone forever. He lives on in my dreams and in reminders the universe nudges my way, just like he would nudge his cold, wet nose against my leg for constant treats and attention (that he always received). Thank you to everyone who was a part of Finn's life - I hope you can look back on these memories with happiness and love. Love that will always be.

Lacey

We feel so incredibly blessed to have our beloved Lacey as part of our family for 16 Years and 2 months. She was part of everything we did and we miss her so very, very much. It was so difficult to welcome a new day and not have Lacey to share it with. Words are totally inadequate to express the sadness we feel. Lacey was such a sweet and loving little girl from the very first day we met her and fell in love with her instantly. She has brought such joy to our lives it is hard to believe she is no longer with us physically. Lacey will forever be a part of our family and live in our hearts and souls forever and ever. We will cherish every memory always. Lacey is our angel. Until we meet again...our Lacey we love you dearly. Mommy and Daddy
