We lost Violet after a four month battle with bone cancer. Everyone who ever met Violet fell in love with her, she was so smart and so so sweet. She was my heart dog and I will miss her every day.
Ruby Layne Shumway aka Locos Stevie (Racing name) will be dearly missed by her daddy, Kevin, momma, Tori, brother Clayton, Greyhound brother, Cornbread Lewis, cat brother, Edgar Allen Purr, and all of our friends and family that had the privilege of not only knowing her but caring for her. Our dear friends and 2 doors down neighbors, the Mitchells, have been there for Ruby since we met them 3.5 years ago. Countless potty breaks, many nail trims, and the very occasional bath. Ruby once wrote miss Mandi a “No Thank you” note for one of those infrequent baths. Ruby saved a number of animal lives. She was a blood donor down at Care Center Cincinnati for several years. Mom (and sometimes dad) would make the hour long trek quarterly. Ruby loved comfort, especially our sleep number bed. Her sleep number must have been 35, since she always slept on her momma’s side of the bed. She loved only the softest of treats (the stinkier the better!), and her favorite dinner night was chicken salad since those nights her kibble was topped with leftover grilled chicken. She was not one to play with stuffies or chew bones, but she did adore her blue ducky that always stayed inside her crate, aka her home within a home. She was the most patient pup with her momma who had health issues over the years. She would walk slowly right next to her momma on all walks and hikes, and she spent many of evenings snuggling with mom during her cancer journey. Ruby was not a snuggler otherwise. Ruby had a love for her daddy like no other and when she looked at him, you would think he hung the moon. They had the most special bond. Ruby became Cornbreads seeing eye dog over the years as he lost his vision slowly but surely. I would say run free little one, but honestly, she’ll just lay free. She could nap with the best of ‘em.
I will miss Gus Gus so much. He brought so much joy to my life. He is a perfect gift that I am so fortunate to have had in my life.
My soul dog, my perfect boy, my pumpkin butt, my bubba, best friend. You will always be my little love💔
Sweet girl, you waltzed into my life 63 days ago and flew out yesterday, taking a huge piece of my heart with you. You were truly the strongest, bravest creature I have ever known, more than most human beings. Your adorable mrrrooows were the sweetest things I could ever hear and will cherish forever. You amazed every single person that you met. They could not believe how sweet you were, despite the horror you endured. You truly were my brave, beautiful little warrior. And I will never, ever forget how courageous you were even after every Dr visit, poke, prod, wound cleaning, and car ride. All you asked for was good eats and a good brushing and I could hear that beautiful purr thru your door. I hope you are reunited with your beloved sibling and Dad. Tell them I did my best and tried everything to keep you comfortable, safe, and loved. Thats all I hope is you knew how loved you were. Say Hi to my crew up there and tell them Thanks for the 'signs' and for welcoming you. Until we meet again sweet Finnley, enjoy the sunbeams!
In Loving Memory of KeKe 🐾 KeKe was so much more than a beloved cat. She was family, a faithful companion, and a little piece of our hearts. For many wonderful years, she filled our life with unconditional love, comfort, and countless precious memories. KeKe had her own special personality, her little routines, and a way of making every day brighter just by being there. She brought joy to the simplest moments and made our house feel like home. Though her tiny paws have left this earth, the paw prints she left on our hearts will remain forever. She was deeply loved, endlessly cherished, and will be missed beyond words. Until we meet again, my sweet KeKe. You will always be our baby girl. ❤️🐾
dear rabbit, I remember you as always
Good Bye Belle, Me, Nanny, Liz, Joey , and even Bampy will miss you. I know Harley was right here in the living room of our new residence in Newtown, when Dr. Nikki was sending you on Noah's Ark across the Rainbow Bridge
We love you, Rocko-Man
