Every day that passes, I find a new reminder that you’re not really gone - you’re hidden in everything around me. I still feel the echo of your bark through the halls & your warmth by my feet at night. I still hear the tippy taps of your feet on the floor & sense your nudges & your kisses when the tears run down my face. Your name naturally follows when I call for “Rowdie” because it’s hard to imagine what one is without the other? The absence of your presence is painful & my heart aches but I know that you’re still with me. My soul dog. Your life was full of adventure & joy & friendships & endless snuggles. Perhaps the greatest gift of the many that you gave to me was your companionship as I became a mom & your sweet devotion to your baby sister. I always felt that much more confident knowing there was an extra set of eyes & ears looking out for her. You are the reason she loves & trusts dogs & we will make sure she grows up knowing how loved she was by her first puppy, ZZ. You mean the world to our family & I can’t help but imagine that I will find you again one day. Rest easy, my baby Grizzie.
We all really miss you so much.
A Dog's Elegy - By Daniel There were many memories I have of him Even back when he wasn't plump, but slim. Sunny had a great long life. Everybody loved him, grandparents and cousins alike. His golden yellow fur was as brilliant as the sun. Until old age hit him and the vibrant hair was done. Sunny had a gourmet menu at our home. He had everything from left over eggs to bones. It did him well to have the extra protein. The food kept him strong and lean. He was the guardian of our hill in back. His eyes were ready to fend off any squirrel's attack. If I told you he was lazy, that would be a lie. Sunny was a clever dog, very sneaky and sly. Many mornings he would sneak out for a morning walk, Stealing our neighbor's newspaper on the sidewalk, Sunny loved the kids. He never barked or bit at them Later in life his body was breaking down, Sunny looked like he was in pain and my dad soon found, That one of his back legs had given out. We eventually bought him a brace for his knee, But he didn't like it, because he couldn't roam free. He is much referred to as man's best friend. He was through our lives even at the very end. Now he is gone, but we will always recall, The big smile on his face that never seemed to fall.
Thank you for everything.
We love Argus so much and miss him immensely. He was such a huge part of our family & we have a huge hole in our hearts. Argus is at peace now, running through the fields and eating lots of treats. He is such a beautiful boy 💜☮️
You were the most handsome boy ever and you left a big hole in our hearts. We will love and miss you always.
Our sweet girl Bella, you will be missed. We loved you the moment we adopted you, you were already a senior dog when we found you and we wanted to give you the best golden years possible. You were such a good girl till the very last moment.
Roxie, You are one of the best beings I have known. Rest in Peace and have playing with Olivia...
“I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you; but instead I am deeply honoured knowing you spent the rest of your life with me.” — Camille Marcotte
There will never be another dog like Willow. She was my soul pet. I will miss her for the rest of my life.
