Lap of Love Veterinarian: Nancy Rodriguez"I can't say enough about how comforting it was to have Lap of Love there as I said good-bye to my sweet Chloe. No matter how many times we have to let a pet go, even when we know it's time, it's never easy. Dr. Nancy was so compassionate, so caring with Chloe. I can't imagine ever letting a fur baby pass without Lap of Love being there beside us."Estelle PNorth AugustaJuly 18, 2019Chloe's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Heather Manfredi"As every dog owner knows the end of life for our beloved four legged family members is heart wrenching. Our Jordyn was so loved and so much a part of our family that coming to terms with making the decision and the feeling of whether we are doing it too early can be overwhelming. We contacted Lap of Love at the recommendation of a vet tech friend and coincidentally saw Lap of Love mentioned in Newsday's pet column the same day. They could not have been nicer on the phone and arrangements were made for a veterinarian to come to our home that day. Heather (I would call her Dr. Manfredi but she was so nice we consider her a family friend though we only met her once) could not have been sweeter in the manner she interacted with Jordy and explained everything to us. Jordy's last moments were spent in our front yard under the shade of our towering swamp maple where she loved to hang with us. over these past eleven years (we rescued her or she rescued us when she was 2 1/2 years old). It was truly the most peaceful end we could imagine. Our tears will end but our memories will last forever. We cannot be more grateful for Lap of Love and Dr. Manfredi. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Elyse Persico"I want to thank Dr. Elyse Persisco and lap of luv. It was very sad to have to let go of my little Riley. He has been such a treasured joy and comfort for 11 years. He had been suffering and it was too difficult for me to take him to the vet office to put him to rest because there was nothing else to help him with his long term congestive heart failure. Even though his vet was kind he would get so scared and be shaking and clinging on to me. I did not want this to be traumatic for either of us, Riley has been too good to me and I needed to find a better way. I was so grateful to find Lap of Luv. When I called, the counselor was very kind and understanding and answered all my questions. On Monday Dr. Elyse came to the house, she spent time with me and Riley, he even gave her kisses. Dr. Elyse explained everything, was gentle and after he was sedated we got him a pillow, and while he was calm and not feeling pain she gave him the final medicine to get his wings and to join my son in heaven. After she let me sit with him on the porch swing and hold him and rock him for as long as I needed. She was kind, caring, compassionate, gentle and very patient. I don't think I could have done this without her. I would recommend Dr. Elyse and Lap of Luv to anyone facing end of life with a beloved pet. Thank you. With sadness and gratitude, Audrey"audrey smithchesapeakeJuly 18, 2019

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kim Bruce"Dear Dr. Kim,

Thank you for making yesterday a peaceful and calm passage for Luka. That meant so much to us. Although under sad circumstances, your presence in our home was truly a gift. Thank you for the memorial site recommendation, too. We've been contemplating ways to help us keep his memory alive as we grieve right now, and this a great resource.
We are forever grateful to you and to Lap of Love for helping us through this tough decision.

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kim Bruce"Dr. Kim,
I want to thank you with all my heart for the care and kindness you shared with us that morning. It made the process very peaceful. It filled my heart to be a part of the entire process including tucking her into the lift with the beautiful blanket and gently loading her in your car. She was so peaceful. I will cherish our experience with you on what will forever be a very sad day for me.

Thank you Dr. Kim, you are a living Angel.

Thank you Lap of Love…I am so very grateful to have found you.

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kim Bruce"Dear Dr. Kim,
There are no words to express our gratitude to you and Lap of Love. Our aching hearts were taken care in the most kind and respectful way I've ever seen.
Thanks for sharing your angelical touch with our Max and my daughter Margarita. We are at peace to know that Max's last moments were touched by a wonderful soul - who was understanding of his pain before and provided comfort at the end.

Shiring family."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Cyrus Wegbreit"Earlier this week, my beloved elderly Anatolian Shepherd, Maxximillian, let me know that he was tired and the complications from Cushings had reached a point where he was ready to cross over to the next plane. I had rescued him at age 2, and I was blessed enough to share 10 years on this planet with my magnificent Best Boy. I will always be grateful to Dr. Cyrus and all of the team associated with Lap of Love for the service they provided in making a heartrending moment as comfortable and peaceful as possible for Maxx. He had already taken on the insecurity of an older gentleman -- things that he once took in stride, like car rides and vet visits, had become scary for him. It was the least I could do for my dear and faithful friend who at all times loved and protected me and who I knew with certainty would have given his life for me to make this passage as comfortable for him as possible. That was only possible if he could pass at home, which he did, in my arms, with his head in my lap which was his favorite way to fall asleep. For this gift, I shall be forever grateful to the team at Lap of Love. Everyone, from the folks who answered the phone when I made my first inquiries back in January, through the gentlemen that carefully and respectfully took him on his final car ride to the crematorium, treated my dear Maxx with respect and kindness. Again, a gift for which I will always be grateful and cannot forget. A humble thank you from the bottom of my heart."Diane ShomoMILFORDJuly 17, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Shannon Skevakis"Dr. Shannon was a godsend to our desperate need. An answer to our prayers. Her compassion, gentle manner and soft, comforting voice put our beloved Daisy—as well as my husband and myself—at ease the moment she arrived. We were then able to take on a supportive role, while leaving everything else in Dr Shannon’s capable hands. Thank you Dr. Shannon and Kristen for your help and support. You are truly heroes."Sharon CainWaretownJuly 17, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Amanda Inman"I don't know how Dr. Amanda does what she does. But she is a blessing. She gave us so much strength and love during our last moments with our sweet boy. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Keri Morgan"Dr. Kerri Morgan assisted us. She was so patient and compassionate. Her attention to our needs and wants and our stories of Samspon was remarkable. I would highly recommend her for this difficult process and decision. She assured us that we were making the right choice. She even made an extra paw print for the previous owner without us even asking. This was one of the hardest things we had to do. Her use of tender terminology and care meant everything. Thank you so much Dr. Kerri! Samson is at peace but will always be missed by so many."Mica and Rigo CurielBellevilleJuly 17, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Mary Kovach"This was the best decision to make for Johnny. The thought of taking him to the vet to be put to sleep made me sad. I wanted him to be home with us. We have a baby with disabilities and leaving isn’t always easy. Taking Fritzy, Romy and Johnny to the vet would have been pure chaos for us all. Dr. Mary was awesome and personable. What a wonderful person! Not only did she make it easier on us all, she was so good with Romy, our 4 year old. Helping her understand why we were putting Johnny to sleep. Thank you for having patience with her and thank you for helping Johnny pass at home were he belonged."Amber MichaelCarmelJuly 17, 2019Johnny's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kayla Stomack"There is no easy way to go through such a horribly painful experience but Dr. Kayla Stomack was so very kind and gentle with me and most importantly, my baby Calvin Chi-Chi (kitty). Every step of the process was thoroughly explained and I was given alone time with my baby boy to say goodbye and give plenty of kisses. My love Calvin was taken away in a beautiful basket with blankets and pillow for his sweet head and I got to walk him out for one last goodbye. All my questions were answered, I was never rushed and the most important part of all, my sweet baby boy left this earth very peacefully and gently."Amy ZappitellChesterfieldJuly 17, 2019Calvin Chi-chi's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Roger Chase"I wanted to express my appreciation for the care and kindness you showed our family during the most difficult time we have experienced. I had concerns about having a stranger take part in such a vulnerable and important moment. Somehow you managed to do your job but did not once make us feel like we were just one more appointment in your day. We felt that you really cared for our pup and understood the paradox we faced with needing to let our dog go but not really wanting to at the same time. It was a peaceful and loving passing. I am grateful that you were there."West JordanJuly 17, 2019Ginger's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Roger Chase"Thank you so much. I am doing a lot better than I thought I would, I owe so much of that to you and the gentle, loving kindness you bring with you on such a sad day. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Amanda Inman"Dr. Amanda, you came to our home and into our lives on one of the worst days imaginable. Every pet owner dreads this day, and I know I cried practically the entire time. But I just want to thank you for your compassion and professionalism. You made such an awful experience much more calming and peaceful for our family and most importantly, our furbaby Geronimo. I don't know how you do what you do, but you are a godsend. Thank you so much for making my sweet boy's last few moments relaxing and allowing me to love on him."Nicholas SutliffOcalaJuly 17, 2019

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dawnetta Woodruff"On this extremely difficult day, we met an angel named Dr. Dawnetta. She came to our home to help our beloved Bailey to peacefully leave his earthly existence. Being able to hold Bailey in my arms while Dr. Dawnetta gently administered a sedative and being able to constantly kiss his forehead and whisper over and over how much I loved him before he drifted off to eternal sleep was extremely comforting. Bailey was in his home with its familiar smells and sounds versus a vet hospital.

Thank you Dr. Dawnetta for your compassion and tender touch.
