Lap of Love Veterinarian: Roger Chase"I wanted to express my appreciation for the care and kindness you showed our family during the most difficult time we have experienced. I had concerns about having a stranger take part in such a vulnerable and important moment. Somehow you managed to do your job but did not once make us feel like we were just one more appointment in your day. We felt that you really cared for our pup and understood the paradox we faced with needing to let our dog go but not really wanting to at the same time. It was a peaceful and loving passing. I am grateful that you were there."West JordanJuly 17, 2019Ginger's Pet Memorial

I am doing a lot better than I thought I would, I owe so much of that to you and the gentle, loving kindness you bring with you on such a sad day. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Amanda Inman"Dr. Amanda, you came to our home and into our lives on one of the worst days imaginable. Every pet owner dreads this day, and I know I cried practically the entire time. But I just want to thank you for your compassion and professionalism. You made such an awful experience much more calming and peaceful for our family and most importantly, our furbaby Geronimo. I don't know how you do what you do, but you are a godsend. Thank you so much for making my sweet boy's last few moments relaxing and allowing me to love on him."Nicholas SutliffOcalaJuly 17, 2019

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dawnetta Woodruff"On this extremely difficult day, we met an angel named Dr. Dawnetta. She came to our home to help our beloved Bailey to peacefully leave his earthly existence. Being able to hold Bailey in my arms while Dr. Dawnetta gently administered a sedative and being able to constantly kiss his forehead and whisper over and over how much I loved him before he drifted off to eternal sleep was extremely comforting. Bailey was in his home with its familiar smells and sounds versus a vet hospital.

Thank you Dr. Dawnetta for your compassion and tender touch.

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kristina Kalivoda"Dr. Kristina is such a wonderful person. During such a difficult time, she helped us through each step, she encouraged us based on the situation at hand. I will never forget her kindness and compassion towards people and animals. Dr. Kristina remembered everything we talked about with our lil boy Willie while remaining professional. I am in awe with the Lap of Love staff from the time I reached out until the close of the afternoon our sweet boy went to the Rainbow Bridge. Thank you for providing a service where families can come together, and give their family pets a place to rest in peace in their home, and with the dignity they deserve."Becky StachLindenhurstJuly 16, 2019Willie's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Shannon Cabell"On June 30th, it was with heavy hearts that our family said goodbye to our beloved Bandit. At 6 months old, he was rescued into our hearts almost 6 years to the day he passed. Since then, he has filled our lives with love and joy.

His time with us was cut entirely too short which is heartbreaking and unfair to say the least. However, the time he did have he spent cuddling , loving, giving out lots of kisses while always managing to look handsome, without ever trying!

The first few months with Bandit were a learning experience as he had to learn that there are good people in the world who would and did love him unconditionally. As a result, he quickly became the most loved by family and friends. Our hearts and home have been lonely without him, but we take solace knowing that he is in a better where he can run and play like he did a few short weeks ago.

As his illness progressed, we agonized over next steps. A major concern was the anxiety Bandit would feel going to the Vet and did not want that to be his last memory. His primary, Dr. Parker from Twin Rivers Animal Hospital VCA recommended Lap of Love. Upon arrival, Dr. Shannon Cabell reviewed the process and what we can and should expect. We had setup an area in a private section of our yard, under a tree where Bandit loved to play. As we laid with Bandit on a comfy blanket under the shade, we stroked his fur while whispering how much we loved him. As the birds were chirping and music played in the background we said our final goodbyes. This included his sister Bella, a lab mix.

As difficult as the events of the day were, Lap of Love made it bearable. Dr. Shannon was wonderful, caring, compassionate and respectful. We were so happy to give Bandit this final gift. The process and follow-up from Lap of Love has helped our family deal and cope with our loss.

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kara Fuchs"I hope this testimonial will help others to make the difficult decision that I made last week. Our lab turned 15 in May and had started to decline earlier this year. We prayed that she would pass naturally and that we would not have to put her down. But, she took a serious turn for the worse in a matter of days. I knew what had to be done, and I wanted her to pass peacefully at home where she would be comfortable. So, I began researching in-home euthanasia. Although there were a few options, I was horrified at the prospect that I would not be comfortable with the person who came into my home to perform the procedure. How could I entrust the last moments of my beloved companion's life to a complete stranger? Thankfully, the reviews on the Lap of Love website gave me the courage to at least make the call. I am so glad I did. The person who took my call was extremely compassionate and talked with me about the decision for nearly an hour. She asked questions to satisfy herself, and me, that it was time to let go. That call left me feeling very comfortable with my decision and confident that I would be comfortable with the person sent to perform the procedure. And I was. Dr. Kara was extremely kind, patient, loving, and supportive--to me and my dog. Everything about her put me and my dog at ease. My dog did not suffer, and I felt at peace with her inevitable passing. I am so grateful that I took a chance and called Lap of Love for help. I cannot imagine having to drive a pet to a veterinarian's office for this procedure when it can be done in the peace and security of your own home. Any concerns I had about allowing a stranger into my home for this purpose were eliminated with my first call to Lap of Love. The decision was hard to make. And the loss was more painful than I expected. But the entire process with Lap of Love was calming and reassuring. Please do not be afraid to make the call when the time comes. My baby went peacefully, in her favorite spot in her bed by the front door, without stress or anxiety. Thank you Dr. Kara, for being so kind and loving to me and my dog."Coon RapidsJuly 16, 2019

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kristina Kalivoda"Dr. Kristina is a jewel. The comfort and deep caring she provided when Talia and I decided that it was time for her to go Home made her passing so much easier. I never knew that there was such a thing as pet hospice and what Dr. Kristina provided was such a warm and gentle atmosphere for Talia and me to say our physical farewells. For her to be surrounded by all the love and familiar sights and scents of her home, I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am for Dr. Kristina and all who are connected with Lap of Love. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Amanda Page"When it was time for our amazing friend Gusty to leave his failing body, Dr. Amanda Page made the process as comfortable as possible. Of course it can never be a good experience, but it was far better for everyone than doing it at a vet's office.

Dr. Page was sweet & we never felt rushed.

When it's time for our other dog, Rex, to move on, we intend to give her a call again.

Thank you!"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Carling Sitterley"We would like to offer our sincere thanks to Dr. Carling and her team for helping us through an extremely difficult time. Daisy was our Bichon Frise that lived with us for almost 15 years and she was truly a beloved member of our family. She was the best thing that every happened for us, but eventually her health started to fail and we knew it was her time. We were very reluctant to take her to the vet as it always upset her. A relative suggested that we contact the Lap Of Love organization for help. These wonderful people visited our home, spent time with our family, and helped Daisy move on to a better place. They were kind and considerate and made this painful experience as comfortable as possible for all of us. We cannot say enough about how well they treated everyone."Tom & Lisa TannerJonestownJuly 15, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Lorry Jolitz"I truly cannot say enough about Dr. Lorry. She was Exactly who we needed from the moment she got out of the car until the moment she took our sweet boy away. I hope she is able to see our comments, because she honestly made one of the saddest days I have ever been through, easier to navigate. There was no question unanswered, and no rush in her. Her compassion and empathy was real. She took such amazing care of not only Capone, but us as a family who surrounded him in his last moments.

Thank you so very much,
Danny & Michelle (and the rest of our family)"
