Lap of Love Veterinarian: Steven Schultz"Thank you to Dr. Steven Schultz for helping Skylar pass in our home with her family. Dr. Schultz was Skylar’s vet before he retired from his practice to work for Lap of Love. Skylar went peacefully thanks to him."Cynda CroisdaleWilsonJanuary 25, 2020Skylar's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Lisa Rodin"Dr. Rodin was amazing and the most respectful during this process. Having to make the decision to put your animal down is one of the hardest and I so happy we were able to have someone come to us. When Dr. Rodin arrived she talked us through the process, answered all of our question, and patiently waited until we were ready. She loved on my cat like it was one of her own and was so gentle with her all the way to the end. I am forever grateful for this experience and the service provided."Lisa MontgomeryOklahoma CityJanuary 24, 2020
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Megan Wehrwein"I recently had to say goodbye to my best friend, Bosco. Bosco was my shadow, always on my heels. I just couldn't imagine not having him right there to listen to my ramblings. But I knew it was his time and I didn't want to cause him any stress or discomfort. He deserved only the best. Fortunately I read about Laps of Love. I called to inquire and they could not have been more kind and patient. They truly understand the heart break you are going thru. They went way out of their way to accommodate me and put me at ease. The day of the appointment I was a mess and I am a person who is normally very composed. Dr. Meghan arrived and immediately began to put me at ease. She was kind and loving with Bosco. I didn't sense any anxiety from him. She was not rushed at all. She took her time with Bosco and me. I can't say enough about how much I appreciate them and just how good they are. My Bosco could not have been in better hands and in the comfort of his own home. It means so much. God Bless them all."Terri BrownLutzJanuary 24, 2020
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sierra Hedrick"We both appreciated Dr. Sierra. She showed a lot of compassion and understanding during such a difficult time. We're both very glad we chose to have Miss Kitty's last moments spent at home. This wasn't an easy thing to do by any means, but it was the nicest way to handle such a thing as there is. We're both grateful to Dr. Sierra for helping Miss Kitty pass as comfortably and painlessly as possible."Rob WPittsburghJanuary 24, 2020Miss Kitty's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Lisa Rodin"I cannot thank Dr. Rodin enough for her kind and compassionate care of not only my sweet Willie Nelson, but also my mother and myself. It's never easy to say goodbye to a much loved family member however, having the option of doing so quietly, peacefully, and privately in my home made the transition much easier. Willie Nelson was not anxious or scared which put me at ease. Dr. Rodin has such a wonder "way" with animals and humans alike. When the time comes again (which it surely will) to have to help another beloved pup to transition out of this life, I will call on Laps of Love and Dr. Rodin."True WallaceOklahoma CityJanuary 24, 2020

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kara Fuchs"From our call at 630am (I think her name was Isabelle-I’m sorry if I have that wrong, but she was calm and reassuring so thank you!), to Dr. Fuchs who was kind and caring when she came to help with our 16 1/2 year old cockapoo Girl, to receiving her ashes in a beautiful wooden box a week after we lost her, Lap of Love made this as easy as possible. We appreciate not having to put our sick Girl in a car, which she hated, for her last minutes. We were able to feed her treats and hold her close to keep her feeling safe. While this was one of the hardest things we’ve had to do, having this option was a blessing. Thank you all for what you do! The Barnard family"Lori BarnardSt. PaulJanuary 24, 2020

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Cathy Berquist"Dr. Cathy was wonderful. She has such a peaceful nature that brought a calm over me during Aston's passing. She explained everything that was happening. But most of all, she was gentle and caring with Aston. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Melanie Santspree"We had a wonderful, gentle, sweet lab mix girl who was approaching 15. Over the last 9 months or so, she was slowing down and was becoming anxious, had cataracts, had trouble on stairs and had fecal incontinence. We loved her, though, and tried to keep her comfortable. In December, we called Dr. Santspree and she came to check on Riley and give us some guidance. She didn't tell us anything we didn't know, but it was reassuring to hear that we were doing the right things for our beloved girl. Her anxiousness continued to get worse, and she was pacing for several hours in the evening. Finally in January, we called to have Dr. Santspree come and give Riley her peace. I thought I was ready, but it was the saddest, yet most comforting experience! Dr. Santspree was gentle with Riley, talked with her, and with us and took her time with the process. Dr. Santspree assured us that even though we all want our pet to just peacefully pass away overnight, it's never peaceful and they are alone. I kept reminding myself that I was fortunate to be with Riley, sitting on the floor next to her and talking to her, telling her what a wonderful companion she had been all these years. Even after Riley passed, Dr. Santspree gave us time to be with her and made a paw print for us. The process for us was very difficult, but Dr. Santspree was wonderful! Kind, compassionate, and truly loves animals and how she can help them. I would highly recommend Lap of Love and particularly Dr. Santspree if you have a pet that may need hospice, or a peaceful passing."SARATOGA SPRINGSJanuary 23, 2020

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sierra Hedrick"My sister just had to lay her 3rd rottie to rest, Bailey Sue on Jan. 18th. Lap of Love was so very kind and compassionate while I was making the appointment. Bailey was diagnosed with bone cancer and only given about 3 mos to live, but within a matter of days she was progressively getting more worse and showed more signs of being in distress. She was barely able to walk and we knew it wasn't fair to Bailey to allow her to continue to be in so much pain. When Dr. Sierra arrived, we were not rushed and she was so very kind and compassionate and reassured my sister she was doing the right thing. Thank you all from the phone call (Elizabeth) to the visit (Dr. Sierra) for your kindness. Lap of Love is truly a blessing of angels!"SHELLY DEGROFFNORTH VERSAILLESJanuary 22, 2020

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Amy Parrish"Dr. Amy was so compassionate. She recognized our emotional distress about making a decision that was so painful for us. She observed and then examined Mejee, explaining the symptoms of pain and anxiety, and validating our good care of her throughout 4 years with Cushing's. There was never a feeling of being rushed---we were given all the time we needed to say goodbye to our little one. We felt such comfort when Dr. Amy brought in the basket so nicely made up with colorful blankets. Watching Dr. Amy tuck the blanket around her was touching. Thank you,, Dr. Amy for helping Mejee leave us peacefully."Frances BetzEastonJanuary 21, 2020Mejee's Pet Memorial
