Dr. Mindy was calm and supportive, allowing us to say a gentle goodbye to Harper. She gave Harper a comfortable passing, in his home, laying next to our family. He had a lovely little grin on his face as he was relieved of the pain that consumed him at the end. Dr. Mindy made the loss more manageable.
I don't have the words to express my utmost respect and appreciation for Dr. Cassi and all she has done for our family. She has now helped two of our sweet boys transition across the Rainbow Bridge. She brings such a peaceful and calming presence to what is a truly devastating situation. We felt so supported by her as she explained the process and what to expect. She asked us about our sweet boys and gave us such comfort. She didn't make us feel rushed or pressured to know when it was 'time'. She was very patient and understanding. She took such great care to keep them comfortable and ensure their passing was pain-free. She even consoled me with a hug, which was a special moment because she could tell I absolutely needed one. Being able to be at home with our angels and have them be at peace in their environment is the reason why we will never do anything but at-home departures moving forward. Cassi is truly an angel for doing what I know has to be an incredibly difficult job. Thank you Dr. Cassi for EVERYTHING!
