Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jennifer Vencil, DVM"Thank you to Dr. Jennifer from the Taylor family. We were referred to Lap of Love by our regular vet when our 13-year-old Great Dane mix lost the use of her hind legs. Dr. Jennifer came to our home and showed our beloved DD and our entire family such empathy and compassion during this difficult time. Our two teenagers were present. She asked them questions about DD and got them to share stories they remembered. Simple words can never express our gratitude for not only the service provided, but to Dr. Jennifer for her kind and caring attitude and treatment of our entire family."Angela TaylorSaint Augustine, FloridaSeptember 8, 2014
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Katie Billmaier, DVM"I cant say enough how much we cherished the Lap of Love services. It was the best decision we could have made for our dog Jake. Dr Katie was so patient and loving and sweet. It made a terrible thing not so terrible to see that Jake was at peace. Dr Katie followed up with a beautiful card with was just so thoughtful. I am recommending them to all of my friends. What a wonderful service you all provide. God Bless you!"Kymberlee JohnsonMarietta, GeorgiaSeptember 8, 2014Jake's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Cindi Worrall, DVM"Gracie suffered from degenerative myelopathy for quite some time, and as her condition worsened, we knew we had to make a tough but necessary decision for our sweet girl so she didn't have to suffer. Luckily when that time was near, I happened to come across Lap of Love's website. It sounded like Lap of Love offered the approach and philosophy I was searching for. I read all the wonderful testimonials about Dr. Cindi, who luckily was from our area. Right from the start, Dr. Cindi had a way of reassuring us and making us feel comfortable that we were doing the right thing. She was very accommodating about the arrangements. When she arrived at our house, she was gentle and kind, and at the same time - competent and supportive. Gracie took right to her and was able to relax with Dr. Cindi and us right by her side. The whole process was very gentle and peaceful. We were able to be outside in the front yard - Gracie's favorite place to be these days. It is a difficult thing to go through, but Dr. Cindi helped us feel grateful about giving Gracie a gentle, loving send off to her afterlife. The next day, Dr. Cindi posted a beautiful memorial for Gracie on the Lap of Love Facebook page. Even though she only knew Gracie briefly, she captured her essence and expressed it so eloquently. It meant so much to us, and was comforting to know Gracie spent her final moments on this earth with such a compassionate individual."Andee SamartinoGlenmoore, PennsylvaniaSeptember 8, 2014Gracie's Pet Memorial

We are very thankful for Dr. Barry."Kelly HawkinsTampa, FloridaSeptember 7, 2014Roxy's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Katie Stender, DVM"God sent me an angel in the form of Dr. Katie Stender. Dr. Katie's compassion and love for what she does made Sammie's passing so much more peaceful than I could have ever imagined. Sammie went to sleep being loved by me and Dr. Katie. There was no jumping or jerking or any of the awful things I imaged could happen. He just went peacefully and I was at such peace I can't put it into words. God bless you Dr. Katie Stender you are an angel!!"Carol MooreJACKSONVILLE, FloridaSeptember 7, 2014Sammie's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Lauren Cassady, DVM"I am enormously grateful to Dr. Lauren for the serene and gentle passage she provided for my precious Iris cat, and for being such a comforting presence for me. She explained the process clearly and sensitively, and before carrying out each procedure she asked gently whether I was ready for it. First she made Iris comfortable by giving her a combination sedative and pain remedy, so Iris had a period of relief before the final injection, which Dr. Lauren gave her with wonderful caring and compassion. I will always be thankful for the way she shepherded Iris and me through this sad time."shirley kiidecatur, GeorgiaSeptember 6, 2014Iris's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates, VMD"I just wanted to say thank you to Dr. Brad for the love and gentle care that he showed my beloved cat Chester. I first contacted Dr. Brad in May when Chester became ill, and he was always quick to return a phone call or email. When the time came Chester was able to be at home in his favorite spot and look at the sun and grass as he closed his eyes. I will be forever grateful for that final gift I was able to give to Chester. Thank You Dr. Brad"maria wallachwoolwich township, New JerseySeptember 6, 2014

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates, VMD"We asked Dr. Brad back to our house today, this time to help us say goodbye to our dear dog, Cookie. Brad's demeanor, professionalism, and empathy help make the experience a peaceful and comforting farewell. The entire family could be together with Cookie in the room in which we spent so much time together. At this difficult time it was comforting that we could be together in our home to see Cookie off surrounded by those who loved her so dearly."Robert HoweyPhiladelphia, PennsylvaniaSeptember 5, 2014
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Katie Stender, DVM"What can we say about Dr. Katie? My Lord, she helped make a difficult, difficult time bearable. She was empatheic and compassionate. She told us what to expect (we had been through euthanasia 9 times before), but it was so welcome to hear all again. She was gentle, caring and respectful. She gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye. Dr Katie cried with us, and we were so touched by that. Afetr all, she had just met us and Simon, yet she KNEW how broken up we were. This helped immensely. After he was gone, I held him in my lap, she clipped his fur and made a paw print. We had clipped fur before, for others, but this was special. Then, she treated him with so much dignity and care, laying him on a linen covered basket and placing lwhite linen "blanket" over him, telling us "she would take very good care of him". We felt MUCH comforted by ALL her actions, and truly can NOT say enough wonderful, wonderful things about her. She even sent a emai.l to us today. My husband and I have never had this compassionate end of life care, but know in our hearts, we will undooubtedly need it again, someday, and it will always be with Dr. Katie and Lap of Love. Thank you, for helping us say our final good-byes to a boy that was VERY much loved and now also missed. Michelle and Bill"Michelle DannerJacksonville, FloridaSeptember 5, 2014Simon's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Lauren Cassady, DVM"I held him for a long time afterwards going through a myriad of emotions but it helped with my 'process'. It was actually wonderful to be able to hold him again before leaving him for good. As you know, he must have been in such pain that he couldn't be comfortably held at all.

I have told so many people about how wonderful you were.... how PK perked up when you walked in, came right up to you talking to you, allowing you to pet him even on his sides, smelled and 'marked' your bag, then, ate.....and then, sat w/ his back towards us as if to signal he was 'done'.

Your presence was perfect, I knew I wasn't alone yet you were totally non invasive in my 'space' in which I only wanted to deal w/ PK.

You all provide the most loving atmosphere possible for a person to have to let go of a beloved friend and 'buddy'.
God bless you all for what you do.

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kiva James, DVM"As a family we decided that our wonderful dog, a 14.5 year old Black Lab, Billy's time on this earth had to end. He had rapidly gone down hill over the course of a month, but finally succumbed to a nasty infection. Dr Kiva was very patient and talked us all through the process - even when one of us had second thoughts and it took a further 15 minutes to convince that we were doing the right thing for him, not us! The process was very serene and quick. I was terrified Billy would know what was going on but the sedative quickly put him into deep relaxation. We all cried and stroked him and it was so nice for us all to be able to be there. The house is empty without the click of his toenails on tile, the jingle of his collar tags, the thump of his tail and the soft, furry, brown eyed steady love we all felt has left the house. Our other dog is grieving but hopefully she'll come through OK. She has big shoes to fill!"Sarah HartWinter Garden, FloridaSeptember 4, 2014
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dana Lewis, DVM, CHPV"Dr. Dana, thank you from the bottom of our broken hearts for your love, compassion and respect you showed for us and our Cody yesterday. As heart wrenching as it was to say goodbye to Cody, you made his passing comfortable and peaceful. You entered our home as a stranger, but left as someone who will remain in a special place in my heart and who has my deepest gratitude and respect. Thank you so very much from all of us."Patti BolioCary, North CarolinaSeptember 4, 2014Cody's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Nancy Rodriguez, DVM"Dr. Nancy was very compassionate and helped us in this trying time. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Cindi Worrall, DVM"I could not have had a more compassionate, loving, and wonderful vet, if I had picked her out. She was so loving, and so patent with my ole girl, who kissed her right away. I am so grateful for Dr. Cindi, I can even express enough how she made this possible without me breaking down more than I did. She spent time, and energy to make this as easy as it could be. I will cherish her along with my Newfie, Lady Jane, and my memories will be of her and Dr. Cindi making the worst scenario, easier."Gerry HainesBethlehem, PennsylvaniaSeptember 3, 2014
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Steven Schultz, DVM"Dr. Schultz had a fine balance of compassion and professionalism in taking care of putting our 13 year old greyhound down. We were relieved that our dog was able to remain in the comfort of home, on his pillow and surrounded by those he loved. Lap of Love provides a needed service to those who find their pets in dire distress, when normal veterinarian hours just won't work. Thank you, Dr. Schultz."Buffalo, NYSeptember 2, 2014
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates, VMD"Thank you so much to Dr. Brad Bates for making our experience in letting Banks go so peaceful. Tristan and I greatly appreciate how much less painful he made the process and how he made us feel so reassured in our decision.

Banks' illness was very sudden and unexpected, so our need to help him pass was such a shock to us; we felt blind-sided. Banks gave us his last tail wag at 10:24am, Monday, August 25, 2014.

While we were utterly devastated and in a state of shock, Dr. Brad did such an amazing job; even further explaining Banks' diagnosis and what a good thing we were doing for him. He helped in reminding us that this was the selfless and loving thing to do for Banks.

Thanks to Dr. Brad's calming presence, Banks was still waggling and happy through his last moments.

Thank you again, you made an awful day a little less painful. Your words and comfort really did help.
