Dr. Amanda Grant came to our house and immediately began to put us at ease regarding our decision. Dr. Amanda was calm, patient, warm, friendly and reassuring at a time we needed that most. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Melanie Cohen, DVM"After speaking on the phone with Dr. Melanie, I knew I had made the right choice. My poor Sasha was in pain from bone cancer, and had been hiding it for a long time, as cats do. Dr. Melanie came to my home in the morning on her way to a conference, and spent over two hours with us. She took her time, carefully explained every step of the procedure and was incredibly compassionate and respectful to Sasha in her last moments. Although it is a difficult decision to make, I now know that in-home euthanasia is the most important and loving gift that you can give to your best friend when the time comes. Thank you Dr. Melanie!"Jay NorrisGlen Burnie, MarylandNovember 16, 2013

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Christine Shibly, DVM"Dr. Shibly just delivered my precious Chia back to me tonight - awesome that a veterinarian would hand deliver ashes. I am also a veterinarian and I recently moved to Virginia and am not currently working. I knew when the time came I would like to euthanize my pet in the comfort of their own home. Dr. Shibly was extremely professional and caring when we had to put down our 16 year old pug (Chia) a week ago. She not only came out last minute but it was also the weekend. Chia had been suffering from kidney disease for a few years and luckily went downhill pretty fast. She made a paw print that I put into a shadow box that I made and sent a lovely card as well. Thanks so much for being there in a difficult time."Tricia ArceneauxBurke, VirginiaNovember 12, 2013
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sarah Cothron, DVM"Dr. Sarah was easy to get in touch with and worked with our and our kitty's schedule. I highly recommend her to help with your pet's transition too."Baton Rouge, LouisianaNovember 12, 2013

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dani McVety, DVM"Dr. Dani really helped us with what was quickly becoming a very hard situation. Her presence from the first moment we spoke on the phone was very calming and she slipped into our home the same way. As Shmoo laid in my lap on his favorite chair, she allowed us to take as long as we needed to say goodbye and then quietly and gently helped our boy to cross over. She allowed us to tuck him into her basked wrapped in his favorite blanket and with the same kindness and gentleness, placed him carefully into her car. I sing her praises, and Lap of Love, to anyone I meet who might need it. Thank you so much Dr. Dani!"Rebecca CoxTampa, FloridaNovember 8, 2013Shmoo's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Madelyn Goocher, DVM"Dr. Madelyn Goocher, not only an amazing doctor, but an amazing friend to my family. Putting our sweet Sawyer to rest was definitely the most difficult decision to make. We battled many days with the thoughts of if this was the right thing to do. We hated to say goodbye to him knowing it would feel like eternity until we will meet again one day to see him. Dr. Goocher was by our side through the last weeks of Sawyer's life guiding us in the right direction. She never once thought about herself, but, instead, she comforted us through the rough few weeks and helped us to make the best decision for Sawyer. On the night we said goodbye to Sawyer, Dr. Goocher was so gentle and kind and loving. She made one of the most heartbreaking events of our life, a very peaceful and beautiful goodbye. She gave Sawyer the opportunity to say goodbye to us with dignity, instead of seeing him suffer any longer. Dr. Goocher (Maddy), you will forever hold a special place in our hearts. We love you to the moon and back."Mandy Middlebrook-LovettDestrehan, LouisianaNovember 7, 2013
