Lap of Love Veterinarian: Laura Devlin Bacon, DVM DABVP"Thank you so much for having such a wonderful respectful veterinary service. Dr. Laura truly made one of the saddest days of my life more peaceful. I do not know what I would have done without your kind words and empathy. The world would be blessed to have more patron saints of four legged children. Thank you so much. Your kind spirit will be forever cherished. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Joyce Gerardi, DVM"My husband and I would like to extend to Dr.Joyce our deep and heartfelt appreciation for the wonderful way in which she handled the final moments of Cody's life. She was so consoling not only to him but also to his owners. It was not easy for any of us but she made it tolerable. Thank you Dr. Joyce for being there.

We would also like to thank the gentleman who took Cody and handled him so gently. He was so understanding."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Juliana Lyles, DVM"What a wonderful way to say goodbye to our pet. Dr. Lyles was so comforting and professional. We were able to keep Casey in her home with all our love around her. What a blessing not to take that last drive to our Vet (whom we love). I wish this was in all states so all pet owners could have this experience."Jan AldersonLumber Bridge, North CarolinaFebruary 29, 2012
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Christine Shibly, DVM"Dr. Christine came to our home on one of the most difficult nights of our lives. She helped our little kitty, Mia, pass peacefully. And she helped us with her kindness and understanding.

Thank you so much, Dr. Christine. It meant the world to us to be able to make Mia's last moments comfortable, and free from fear and anxiety. To say goodbye to her at home where she belonged.

Lap of Love is such a blessing. It must be hard to see so much sadness, but we are grateful that you are willing to be there for us and our furry family members."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Laura Devlin Bacon, DVM DABVP"Dr. Laura Bacon is an angel. I called her... my precious cat Bobby, was suffering. She arrived very soon, and helped me send my precious boy to heaven. She even helped me prepare his box to be buried, made a paw print for me, hugged me and assured me of everything I was unsure of, answering every question. I can't say enough about her, she deserves so much credit. I couldn't have asked for a better angel to come help me on my boy's heaven preparation day. I know he is in heaven. I prayed a day or so before and asked when he did go if he could sit in my dad's lap in heaven. I received peace like a river, just like when you are saved, and I know my boy is in heaven. Thank you, Dr. Laura, for helping me that day. I will be forever grateful."Carolyn MooreKnoxville, TennesseeFebruary 1, 2012
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dani McVety, DVM"Missy an 11 yr old Shepard/Chow mix was put to sleep in the comfort of her home after being diagnosed with Hermangiosarcoma, an incurable type of cancer. She experienced no pain and left her family with many enjoyable memories. This service allows the pet an experience where there is no stress as they do not have to be transported to a vet which can be traumatic. Dr. Dani was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. She explained the entire procedure and was concerned most for Missy's overall comfort. She administered the fatal dosage of meds, only when my wife and I were ready to say goodbye. A shaving of hair and a paw print were given to us after she expired. My wife and I stayed with Missy while she lay in her chosen spot. Dr. D was kind to the end. I cannot say enough about the compassion this service allows the pet to experience. Thank you."Tyronne RTampa, FloridaJanuary 24, 2012
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Nicole Sabo, DVM"While our heartbreak is still very deep and current, we cannot thank Dr. Sabo and Angela enough for their kindness, compassion and professionalism. Their calm, understanding allowed us to focus on helping our beloved Jake over the Rainbow Bridge peacefully. I will not hesitate to call Dr. Sabo when it is time to part with our Chase and Emily. God Bless you for choosing the end of life as your specialty."Mary and Murrell PPlantation, FloridaJanuary 19, 2012
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Mary Gardner, DVM"On a bright and sunny but somber Sunday morning this past August we said goodbye to Cody, our 16 year old Bichon, with the loving assistance of Dr. Mary Gardner. We were able to keep Cody comfortable in his own home and in my arms until the end thanks to this wonderful service.

It was so very important to me and something I had stressed over as Cody's health had deteriorated in recent years and then his (and mine, too!) guardian angel, Dr. Mary, appeared. I no longer had to worry about taking him to the vet's office, where he was always a trembling mess, to have him euthanized and this was a godsend for me.

I spoke to Dr. Gardner on Saturday after a particularly bad day for Cody and she offered to come over then but he rebounded a bit and then settled in for a peaceful night so we agreed to a time the next day. That morning was bittersweet since he seemed so much better but still I knew it was time. One thing that stood out to me was Dr. Mary's philosophy that it is best not to wait until it is an emergency. When Dr. Mary arrived she was such a calming influence on our family and on Cody and explained everything that was going to take place yet let it go at our pace. It was a sad but peaceful goodbye to our little guy and I wouldn't have had it any other way."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dani McVety, DVM"Dr Dani McVety and all of the associates at Lap of Love had removed the fear and un-comfortableness, that any pet lover can relate too, when your beloved pet can no longer be comfortable. The decision to make the phone call and set things in motion that would make Sadie’s pain go away, was more emotional for me than the procedure itself. Dr McVety explained the events and timing that was going to take place. It was so peaceful and in a short time we got to say goodbye to our 15 year companion. My Girl was in pain no more. Thank you Lap of Love and Dr McVety for being an alternative to saying your farewells at the Vets office compared to having your beloved pet in the comfort of the only home they have ever known."Randy and Bard CLand O Lakes, FloridaJanuary 3, 2012
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Christine Shibly, DVM"Our golden retriever, Susie, had been diagnosed with liver cancer, and her health was rapidly declining. My wife and I were both a wreck and we were dreading having to take Susie back to the vet one last time. A co-worker had told my wife about Lap Of Love, so we contacted them for a consultation. Dr. Christine Ross visited our home the next day and treated Susie like she was her own dog. Dr. Christine was compassionate and helped us talk through Susie's options. We decided to have Dr. Christine return for another visit to perform the procedure. It was peaceful and calm and was respectful to Susie. Simply put, it was the right decision for our dog -- and our family -- and I STRONGLY recommend using Dr. Christine and Lap of Love. We will always be grateful for her help during this very difficult time!"Chris AOrlando, FloridaDecember 24, 2011
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dani McVety, DVM"I am so grateful for the beautiful ceremony that Lap of Love provided our nineteen your old cat Alex. It is a comfort to know we can count on this service in time of need. This kind gesture will last a lifetime. Thank you, Lap of Love for all that you have done."Normal YLutz, FloridaNovember 30, 2011
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dani McVety, DVM"Thank you so much for your help with Sienna yesterday. I will miss her more than anyone will ever know, but I am glad she passed away in our home with me at her side. My biggest fear was that she would eventually pass away by herself and scared. I am glad I was able to give this gift to her. Thank you again."Laura ETampa, FloridaNovember 4, 2011
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dani McVety, DVM"This morning, my partner and I could not let our little fellow suffer any longer. As pet parents to a 16 year old Yorkie, we knew that we had been blessed - especially since he was diagnosed with liver disease two years earlier. This morning was a culmination of a particularly bad week. I had had surgery a couple of days before and my partner had been out of town the night before we called Lap of Love."Tampa, FloridaOctober 7, 2011
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dani McVety, DVM"Dr Dani McVety is wonderful. She came to us within 30 minutes of our initial call. She assisted all of us: Rascal and both of his Dads. The understanding, compassion, and love that she brought to the morning was moving and so appreciated. I will always know that she stepped into our lives through the grace of God. Yes, the tears remain, but it is with the help of Dr. Dani that we know we did the best thing for our little boy. May God Bless her and the work of Lap of Love."Mary GardnerTampa, FloridaSeptember 22, 2011
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dani McVety, DVM"When it was time for my Connie-girl to go, I called Lap of Love because I had heard such good reports about their service. Dr. Dani came to the house on a holiday Sunday. She could not have been more patient or kind. We sat on the back deck for a while with my German Shepherd Dog limping around and finally laying down across from us. I put Connie's head in my lap as Dr. Dani, my friend Kate, and I talked about what a wonderful dog Connie was. She went so easily and peacefully. I am forever grateful for that. It was so hard to make that decision and Dr. Dani was so reassuring. My Connie got to leave this world at home with me there beside her, the birds singing in the garden on a lovely afternoon. Thank you Lap of Love. Thank you from the bottom of my heart."Robin MTampa, FloridaSeptember 7, 2011
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dani McVety, DVM"G. and I can't begin to thank you enough for taking care of our sweet T. in his last hours with us. You gave T. peace and comfort in his own home in the end verses the ER... a place of unfamiliarity that would have no doubt caused so much stress and anxiety. It was so impressive and moving to us that you came to our home in the late hours of the evening with no hesitation. Your sincerity for T. was evident and comforting to us during such a difficult time. For this we will always remember you and your kindness and will be forever grateful. You should feel so good about what you do for animals and people like us! A true gift of giving to others! Thank you! J. and G."Tampa, FloridaJuly 8, 2011
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dani McVety, DVM"I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for going out of your way to care for our D.. You knew how much he meant to us and you were determined not to let anything bad happen to him. Your kindness and sincerity was most appreciated to us at that difficult time.... Thank you again, you are an extremely caring individual."Lutz, FloridaJune 16, 2011
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dani McVety, DVM"Thank you for your kindness and compassion on Thursday evening. C. was our family dog for 9 years and putting him down was one of the most difficult decisions I've had to make. Though it was hard, we knew it was the best for him. You blessed us tremendously and I'll never forget your thoughtfulness and guidance that evening."Tampa, FloridaJune 2, 2011
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dani McVety, DVM"Thank you so much for coming to our home on the final hour of M.'s life. Your kindness, compassion, and love was of much comfort to us. M. was a very sweet cat, and we loved him dearly."Tampa, FloridaMay 5, 2011
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dani McVety, DVM"I want to thank you for your kindness and compassion towards my sister, J.C., and her beloved B.! When you left and called back about the tennis ball, J. was so very impressed and thankful that you came back for it, that meant the world to her. Her and M. have been surrounded by family and dear friends all weekend and are doing a bit better. I know it will be a tough adjustment for her and M., but I know with time they will both be ok. I have also gone through this with pets in the past, so I know the huge void she is dealing with now. There is surely a very special place reserved for you in heaven. God Bless You!"Tampa, FloridaApril 7, 2011
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dani McVety, DVM"I loved K. so much and I was so afraid....you were my life saver. When I saw him collapse yesterday, I knew instantly that I did not want him to go through one more thing, he didn't deserve it. You made a very hard situation easier with your kindness, concern and professionalism. I miss K. so much but know he is in a better place. Thank you so much, I don't know what I would have done without you."Tampa, FloridaMarch 10, 2011
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dani McVety, DVM"Thanks again for everything. You made the whole experience much easier - I can't imagine how hard it would have been if we had to take him somewhere. You're doing a wonderful thing... It's obvious you love what you do and really care about the animals (and their people)."Tampa, FloridaMarch 3, 2011
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dani McVety, DVM"We could not imagine having to take her into our veterinarian and have her put to sleep in a sterile, clinical setting, then carry her back home for burial in our back yard. Thankfully, our vet referred us to you, and you allowed her to go the way she should have – in our home, in our arms, surrounded by those who loved her and cared for her deeply. And for that, we are forever grateful. Thank you again."Tampa, FloridaFebruary 13, 2011
