Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"We sincerely appreciate the kindness and compassion of Dr Bates. We could not imagine have to take our little friend of 12 years to the facility. Having his last moments at home on the sofa he shared with us was beautiful, peaceful passing."New HopeSeptember 1, 2013
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Steven Schultz"Dr. Schultz was extremely patient and compassionate both on the phone and in person. He was readily available for whatever timing worked best for us. He gently disclosed details of the euthanasia process - how it worked and what to expect. Dr. Schultz made a beautiful pawprint to leave with us and offered follow-up support in the form of a card, emails, and posting Buddy's memorial on the Lap of Love facebook page.

I am extremely grateful to have had the Lap of Love in-home euthanasia option available. I couldn't have imagined the end of Buddy's life any other way than holding him in the comfort of our home for hours before and after. Thank you, Dr. Schultz and Lap of Love! The Eternal Pawprints booklet was lovely and the perfect touch, too. I will continue to recommend you!"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Barry Cherno, DVM"After hearing from my vet that Ally was very sick with no chance of recovery I decided to have her pass away at home. I knew it was what I wanted to do but I was very apprehensive to have a stranger come to my home to end my very loved little dogs life. As soon as Dr. Barry walked up to me I knew it would all be ok. He was so calm and compassionate while he explained everything to me about what would take place. He allowed me to talk on and on about Ally while I took the time I needed. Thank you Dr. Barry from myself, my friend and family who were with me to share Ally's passing away, and most of all Ally thanks you for your caring heart."Lynda GiddingsHudsonAugust 30, 2013
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Madelyn Goocher, DVM"Your service, and Dr. Goocher in particular, were wonderful during a very difficult period in my family's life. The decision to end the life of our beautiful dog was one of the hardest we have made and Dr. Goocher's patience and understanding were so important. She sat with us for 2 hours while we said good bye to our dog in the comfort of our own home. She heard our stories about him and was there when we cried. I think what she does is a true and valuable calling and we will all be forever grateful to her for being there."Diana MercerNew OrleansAugust 30, 2013

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"Dr. Brad brought such compassion and understanding needed during our most difficult time in making the decision to give the gift of love to Maddie and stop her suffering. He took the time to help us realize we were doing what was best for Maddie and right the right time. His affection for animals is very obvious and we thank him for his work and assisting us during this time. He allowed us to say goodbye to our Maddie in her favorite environment of the back yard laying on the grass that she loved to roll around in. Thank you Dr. Brad. We are so happy there are Vets like yourself out there that are dedicated to this specialty. Sue and Harry Nuss"Sue NussNewtown SquareAugust 29, 2013Maddie's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates""Wonderful" probably sounds like a strange word to use in the context of losing my beloved cat Edie but I can truly say the whole experience was wonderful. Dr. Brad was so gentle and understanding during the whole process. Edie always hated trips to the vet and to be able to spare her a final one and have her pass in a familiar, calm place made all the difference in the world. I was able to hold her in my arms until the end and I can't overstate how much peace of mind this has given me!"Maria NormanPhiladelphiaAugust 27, 2013
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dana Lewis"Maggie had always been terrified of vet clinics. We couldn’t bear the thought of her last moments being filled with panic. We weren’t sure how she would react to a vet coming into our home, but we felt it was our best option. When Dr. Lewis arrived, she walked straight up to Maggie and sat down on the floor next to her bed. Maggie was completely at ease as Dana reached out her hand to pet her. The level of comfort we saw in Maggie was extraordinary - this calm reaction to a stranger was completely out of character for her. It was almost as if she knew that Dr. Lewis had come to take away her pain. Even one of our extremely antisocial cats came up to Dana to say hello. The whole experience, although difficult, was very peaceful. We could not have asked for a more patient, gentle, and compassionate vet. Thank you Dr. Lewis."Natalie and BrianKnightdaleAugust 27, 2013Maggie's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dana Lewis"Dana, thank you for showing compassion and love for my Maggie! You were so kind to all of us there saying goodbye to my sweet angel. I am so blessed to have been recommended to you. It was a bitter-sweet goodbye, but couldn't imagine having done it any other way. And as hard as it was, it helps in the healing process to know we let her be in her favorite place when she left this earth, outside with us by her side. And the ashes were done so beautifully! Thank you!!"Megan TrivetteRaleighAugust 24, 2013Maggie's Pet Memorial
