Helping Families Honor the Lives Of Those They Love
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Amanda Grant"Having raised our German Shepherd Klaus since he was a puppy, he quickly became part of the family. When the time came to make the decision, I trusted Lap of Love. Dr. Amanda came to our home, spent time with Klaus and me while I petted him for the last time. He was very calm and not stressed at all. Dr. Amanda did not rush me, made the absolute best out of this and was very compasionate, understanding and wonderful. As she left, she told me that she hoped that I would make another dog as happy as I had made Klaus. I recommend Dr. Amanda highly."Phillip SemenickFort LauderdaleJune 15, 2013

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sunday Cozzi"Dr Sunday Cozzi was wonderful! Se was able to make one of the most painful situations of my life less difficult by helping Maizey and my husband and me be surrounded by kindness, compassion and peace. I have owned many dogs, cats, and horses in my lifetime and have been there with most of them as they parted this life. I've never had such a comforting experience. Again, Sunday, thank you from the bottom of my heart!"Kris PickensChapinJune 13, 2013Maizey's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Laura Theobald, DVM"Laura was a gentle, kind and professional soul that helped us through one of the hardest things I have ever done. I was able to lay down on the floor with Sadie and cradle her head in my arms as she fell asleep."kathy mansfieldcharlotteJune 13, 2013Sadie Mansfield's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Melanie Cohen, DVM"Dr. Melanie Cohen and the services she provided exceeded my expectations. She explained everything as she was going through the procedure. But most importantly, she made my dear Chiana feel at ease during the process. I did not want to take Chiana to the vet as she becomes very nervous. Dr. Cohen gave personal attention to her, and she was very facilitating in letting my other dogs say their final goodbyes. Dr. Cohen made Chiana's crossing over the Rainbow Bridge comfortable and filled with dignity, respect, and compassion. If faced with the same situation with my other pets, I would most definitely use her services again. I would most definitely recommend her services to any one faced with this difficult decision."Tara StanleyGlen BurnieJune 13, 2013Chiana's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Cindi Worrall, DVM"Thank you so much to Dr. Worrall for all of her heartfelt compassion shown to our beloved Jiggy. She made us feel like she was part of our family, truly an angel on earth! I was so impressed with her skills and compassion shown toward Jiggy. With his multiple medical problems the last thing he needed was more pain and Dr. Worrall ensured that he did not have any pain in his last moments. I have never witnessed such a peaceful passing of a dog as we have had a couple already euthanized. Eventhough, we will miss him terribly it definitely was the right thing to do, this definitely is the best way you can have your pet euthanized. We could not be more pleased. Our heartfelt thanks Dr. Worrall."Lisa BingamanBirdsboroJune 11, 2013
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Laura Allison, DVM"After 20 years with us, the last 6 of them spent fighting CRF, we had to say goodbye to our sweet Kalohe on the evening of June 6, 2013. Having only experienced pet euthanasia once before a few years ago, giving my support to a friend, I was uncertain whom to choose for this very important and delicate task. After reading some reviews of Lap of Love, I came across a negative one. When I called the office, I was told that one of the founders, Dr. Mary Gardner, would call me to discuss my finding. Not 10 minutes later, Dr. Mary called me. She explained the circumstances behind that one review & helped me to feel less fearful of what was to come for Kalohe. The Lap of Love office had assigned Dr. Laura to our case & Dr. Mary assured me that we would be in excellent hands. When Dr. Laura arrived, I had Kalohe in my lap and that is where she stayed for the entire procedure. My husband and my mother were also present. Dr. Laura was so sweet, gentle and compassionate to us all, especially our Kalohe. After she passed, Dr. Laura sat with us for quite some time. I kept Kalohe on my lap, stroking her. I finally had to ask Dr. Laura to take Kalohe from me, as I could not voluntarily take her off my lap. Dr. Laura placed her in a nice little basket which contained a pink blanket, a lovely touch. I told Dr. Laura that I wanted to carry Kalohe out to the car. There was a slight drizzle outside, as if the night was weeping for my girl. There are not enough positive words to describe Dr. Laura and Dr. Mary. I will be forever thankful for the help of these extraordinary women. Sleep peacefully my dear Kalohe, until I am with you again."Paula DurfeeNorth LauderdaleJune 10, 2013
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Erika McDivitt, DVM"The doctors at Lap of Love in Jacksonville were so kind and patient with us as we struggled with our decision and timing to put our sweet Sam to rest. Dr. Erica was the doctor who came to our home. She spent time with Sam and explained the procedure carefully. She gave us plenty of time to grieve and say our goodbyes. We are grateful to have been able to give Sam a peaceful passing in his home so he never felt scared as he would have at a cold and sterile clinic. He is missed terribly. I know they say this gets easier each day that passes, but we miss him so much and the pain is so raw. Thinking back to how kind and compassionate Dr. Erica and Dr. Tiffany (she coordinated everything) were with us and Sam, helps tremendously. We will always treasure the paw print that was cast and the clippings of Sam's gorgeous copper coat. Thank you."Nancy & Maxwell OliverJacksonvilleJune 10, 2013
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sunday Cozzi"Last night, in a horrible and unexpected twist of fate, we had to have our fifteen year old cat, Annie, put to sleep. Not only was it storming outside, but it was a weekend and was late in the day. In my panic, I called Dr. Sunday Cozzi with Lap of Love. She arrived at our house within minutes, and was an absolute Godsend from the minute she got there. My husband was out of town, so I was home with my two young children alone. Sunday took so much time answering their questions and knew exactly what they needed to hear. Most importantly, she was so sweet to our beloved little Annie. I do not know what we would have done without her, and I cannot imagine having had to do things differently. In the horrible sadness of having to do what we did, I was so grateful to not have to take her somewhere, to be able to have her where she was so comfortable and to have someone as kind and gentle as Sunday to be there with all of us. She was a true blessing, and I would say to anyone that we would never do it another way. Thank you Lap of Love, and especially Dr. Sunday for the invaluable services you provide. We will be forever grateful!"Allison BeattyAikenJune 10, 2013
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Juliana Lyles, DVM"We knew this would not be easy, but Dr. Juliana made it bearable. Her bedside manner is wonderful, and we wished that our own physicians would have such a kind way about them. She not only took the time to learn Jill's story before sending her on her final journey, but Dr. Juliana took the time to meet and great all of our other pets as well. Most importantly for us, she let us know that we did make the right choice, at the right time, to help our sweet kitty Jill on her way. Thank you!"Alisa GaylonChicagoJune 10, 2013

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Erika McDivitt, DVM"Letting go of my beloved Beatrice was one of the hardest things I've had to do. Dr. Erika was so wonderful, she responded to my calls, explained the process and when things became more critical came quickly and let my baby pass with dignity, very peacful and was so kind to my pet to me, my family and friends who were there. with me."Judy RandolphNeptune BeachJune 10, 2013
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jen Bansel, DVM"Dr. Jen is SOOO patient and understanding. She let us take all the time we needed to say good-bye to our cat and dog (on two separate occasions). She is thoughtful and comforting to animals and humans alike. We are so thankful for her giving our loved 4-legged family members a comfortable experience at home and allowing our human family members to be a part of this sacred experience."Heddy VernonGainesvilleJune 10, 2013
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Laura Allison, DVM"Dr Laura arrived and I felt a sudden calmness after my 14 hours with my dog in pain. She comforted the family and my dog. I have never felt such comfort and love from a person. We had to make a decision and were not rushed or pressured. I thank you Dr. Laura for all you did."Kim NoonanCoconut CreekJune 9, 2013Jade's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Cindi Worrall, DVM"There was nothing gentler or sweeter than the way this company handles end-of-life procedures.
She died in my arms. Cindi was amazing, listening to stories, very gentle. Sedative shot first so finding the vein was not traumatic. There was no rush at any point, and we always directed when we were ready for each stage.
She did a cast of Katie's foot when it was over, and gave us a bag of her hair clippings (when she buzzed the spot for the needle.
When it was over and we were ready to let her go, she brought in a basket with a blue fleece blanket on the bottom, and a pink one on the side.
She wrapped up Katie in a pink one, and Katie looked so sweet and comfortable. We kissed her a few more times, and the vet took her away. The last visual of your pet is so peaceful, respectful, and loved.
Very little about any of this was medical, except the absolute essentials. Cindi was warm and indulged us. There is nothing I would change about this experience."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dawnetta Woodruff"We couldn't ask for a more sympathetic and professional experience than Dr. Woodruff offered. She picked up on the overwhelming emotions our family was going through and knew exactly what to say and when to say it. I don't know how she does her job but commend her for it, she was obviously meant for this (and maybe God knew that too as "ruff" is in her name)! God Bless you Dr. Woodruff."M. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Juliana Lyles, DVM"I saw the face of God tonight.....her name was Juliana...If ever there was a soul doing exactly what the heavens desire, it was Dr. Juliana. My Freddie passed with such peace and love. Juliana was so kind and reassuring......iI only wish we all could reach the other side with such tenderness.........thank you Dr. Juliana.....Freddie thanks you too........"Fay KaiserEvanstonJune 7, 2013
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Anthony J. Smith, DVM"Dr. Anthony Smith was wonderful with Hugo, and with me. He was patient as I told Hugo stories while the sedative took 3x as long as expected to work and he followed up the next day with a supportive e-mail. Going through this process is possibly one of the most difficult things one can ever do and the reassurance from a vet that I chose the right time and way to do it was very comforting. I highly recommend him!"Erika LockhartAlbanyJune 5, 2013Hugo's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Angela Bross, DVM"Dr. Angela was our angel who came and took our beloved cat Rudy softly away from his suffering. She answered our call in our time of need on a holiday weekend when we didn't think we'd be able to reach anyone. She saved our Rudy a trip to the vet in his last hours and allowed him to pass as peacefully as possible at home surrounded by his family. She was so patient and understanding of our every concern, and has been so supporting afterwards. We are forever grateful to you Dr. Angela, thank you so much."Glen HarrisNewport NewsJune 1, 2013Rudy's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Juliana Lyles, DVM"Dr Juliana was absolutely terrific! On a day that you can't imagine anything nice to come of, Dr Juliana does just that. Bella had a bout with cancer that aggressively got worse and the decision had to be made, my vet suggested an at-home service and we thought that'd be great. Dr Juliana came and was so sympathetic and reassuring of everything, it was quite comforting. It's such a hard time and she really helped make the best of it. I will use her in the future and have already recommended her to several friends. Thank you so much, Pete, Laura and Beth Plocar"Pete n LauraPlanoJune 1, 2013Bella's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Cindi Worrall, DVM"On behalf of my husband and 2 daughters, I would like to sincerely thank Dr. Cindi Worral for such compassion, patience and understanding of our grief with the tough decision we had to make regarding putting our beloved Chocolate Lab, Hershey to sleep. Hershey was truly a family member but at 13 she was no longer able to walk anymore and we couldn't bear to see her
suffer any longer. This process allowed her to be in the comfort of her home with her family by her side. We are at peace knowing there was no final pain what so ever and that her pain is gone forever now. Thank you Dr. Worral, you helped us so much get through this sad time. 3/27/00-5/30/13. Rest in peace Hershey, we will love and miss you for the rest of our days."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dani McVety"Dr. McVety was very caring and supportive. Some medical doctors and funeral directors could take a page from her book. Our Pete, a big lug of a Labrador - Pit Bull mix, was eased gently and peacefully from this life blissfully unaware of what was transpiring with his tail a-wag and a grin on his face. Dr. Dani removed his remains with dignity and thoughtfully provided us a paw print and wisp of fur accompanied by her sympathy card. Today she followed up with a supportive note assuring us that our very difficult decision was in the best concern of Pete. I personally feel that euthanizing a pet is a breach of love and trust but sometimes it must be done and Dr. Dani helped assuage that overwhelming feeling of guilt."Joe & Kathy Donahue/LoganWesley ChapelMay 31, 2013Pete's Pet Memorial
