Lap of Love Veterinarian: Christina Scudder"We first met Dr. Chris on Monday when our sweet Goldendoodle Lucy took a turn for the worse. She had been battling an aggressive cancer for the past 6 weeks and her body couldn’t keep ahead of the pain and disease. Dr. Chris was so compassionate, patient and loving towards Lucy and our entire family. She made one of the toughest situations we’ve faced as a family as peaceful and loving as possible. We are so grateful to Lap of Love and Dr. Chris. Thank you."Julie SSt LouisAugust 28, 2019

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jessica Gibson"My neighbor, who is also a professional dog walker, was aware Tumi was sick and we had come to the conclusion that it was time to make a hard decision, and my neighbor suggested Lap of Love. I looked it up on the internet and loved the concept. We wanted to be with Tumi up until the end and not having to move her or take her to a Vet facility allowed Tumi to be in the home she loved up until the end. Dr. Jessica administered this difficult service in the most loving and humane way possible."Tumi BoothOaktonAugust 27, 2019Tumi's Pet Memorial

I cannot say enough about Lap of Love, what a wonderful wonderful group of people they are. A few days after my Evan went home we received the loveliest card from her. It melted our hearts. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Cathy Berquist"Wanted to express how thankful we are to Lap of Love and Dr. Cathy for their services
Our beloved Bonnie died last week and we received her ashes today from Dr Tanko's office at My Pet Animal Hospital.

Being a health care professional in the human hospice/palliative care world, I had very high standards, and Dr. Cathy exceeded all of them. She came right in and sat down on the floor to first get to know Bonnie, our 12-year old Great Pyrenees. Bonnie, lying on her large round bed, pawed Dr. Cathy in her affectionate way asking for more petting, and Cassie our other 12 year old puppy came over to make sure things were OK with her sister and this visitor.

We have had many dogs over the years, and have had to make this incredibly hard decision many times. It is nice to be able to say that this was one of the most peaceful passings we had to go through. The in-home experience made it so comfortable for everyone. We, broken-hearted humans are allowed privacy for tears and our furry baby does not get jostled in the car or have to “smell” the vet office. We never felt rushed, and we received excellent step-by step instructions of what was to happen next. I was so pleased that the process included heavy sedation first so Bonnie was totally relaxed and did not even feel the needle insertion. When we loaded Bonnie lying in her bed into the car, Cassie, our other baby jumped up to say goodbye. The house seems very empty without her, and we keep looking at her favorite places to lay down.

We also appreciated Dr. Cathy reaching out to us after Bonnie’s passing to offer her support. We felt reassured that our baby was going to be looked after from the moment she left us to when her ashes were returned from The Pet Loss Center of Tampa.

We highly recommend Lap Of Love and Dr. Cathy if you are ever in need of these services. Everyone from the folks who answer questions on the phone, to scheduling, to the in-home visit are compassionate, patient and incredible at what they do…. Thank you for making such a painful experience as peaceful and comforting as it could be."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kristen Miller"Dr. Kristen Miller was the kindest, compassionate and supportive veterinarian. She made the transition for our beloved, Sparks and my family much easier. She came to our house a few weeks prior to us having to put Sparks down and gave him a thorough examination. She explained our options and followed up with phone calls and emails to check on his well being. When the time did come for our beautiful Sparks to be put to rest, Dr. Miller put us at extreme ease and walked us through the entire process so we knew what to expect. She was extremely patient with us while we said our good-byes; Dr. Kristen also honored our request to keep the windows rolled down as she drove away with Sparks. Knowing when to let a dog is never a easy decision. You don't want them in pain and you don't want them to suffer. Sparks went to his final rest surrounded by his loved ones holding him and telling him how much he meant to us. He had a beautiful life and I was glad we were able to be with him up until the very end. We are extremely grateful to Lap of Love and especially grateful to Dr. Kristen for her kindness, compassion and patience."Theresa GiammonaGarden CityAugust 27, 2019Sparks's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Roger Chase"Dr. Roger,

Please know that in reading this message, I felt SO much comfort and love when I really needed it.
Thank you so much for such a heartfelt follow-up message, but mostly, thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping my baby exit this world peacefully and comfortably.
I was told when I made the appointment that you didn’t normally work on Saturdays, and I hope you know how much I appreciate you making an exception and taking time from your weekend to grant Clementine the peace that she so very much deserves.
The house feels pretty empty without her warm light, and Elliot (my big boy kitty) and I are going to have to take it day by day to get a little stronger in her absence.
I am listening and keeping my eye out for the little signs that she is with us in her beautiful spirit.
I truly, truly appreciate you and the support you’ve offered me and my little family.

Thank you for everything, Dr. Roger."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kristine Campanelli"Letting my Lexie go was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. Someone recommended Lap of Love and I couldn't be more grateful. Dr. Kristine was incredibly compassionate, patient and sweet. She explained everything step by step and was very gentle. Lexie passed peacefully in my arms and there aren't enough words to express how thankful I am for that. The keepsakes and the card were also very touching. Thank you, again, Dr. Kristine and Lap of Love- you are a godsend."Kimberly MoralesBellportAugust 27, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kristine Campanelli"My Lucy was so special to me. We had been together since she was five weeks old. I had been her puppy walker at the Guide Dogs for the Blind. She didn't make the cut with them so I was able to love her for more than 10 years. She developed a rapid moving form of cancer that took her life in less than two months. She was so loving and caring. We were like an old married couple....knowing what the other would do next. Everyone that knew her loved her and said she was the happiest dog they knew. The end came very quickly and it was obvious I had to make the decision that every pet owner dreads. Fortunately this time I was given the name of Lap of Love and Dr. Kristine Campanelli. She was warm, kind and so caring. Lucy is in a better place and Dr. Kristine helped get her there."CenterportAugust 27, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Lori Braun"I could not think of a more perfect passing than the one Dr. Lori helped facilitate. She was patient and kind, explained the process, even adding in some welcomed humor, and was reassuring in such a difficult decision. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Abra Osorio"Making the call was one of the hardest things I have ever done! The angel on the other side made it so much easier than I thought. While choking thru tears she kept encouraging me and telling me I was doing a good job and doing the right thing! Within 3 hours Dr. Osorio was at our home. She took her time and answered our questions and waited till we were ready. She supported us and helped us feel like good puppy parents. She was wonderful when the kids asked questions. As sad as it was Lap of Love made it a beautiful, peaceful and loving experience! Lucy left us surrounded by family, on her favorite blanket, in her favorite room in the house with nothing but love around her! Thank you all so much for what you did for us and others!"Nichole & Larry Lehmann & FamilyNashvilleAugust 26, 2019Lucy's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dana Lewis"Making the decision to let our first baby, Tyke, go was one of the most difficult we have ever made. We had never been through this process before but wanted to be able to let Tyke stay at home where he felt safe and comfortable. Our vet recommended lap of love and so we reached out. We were able to get an appointment the same day which really mattered because Tyke was significantly worse in 24 hours and we didn’t want him to suffer. Dr. Dana was like a true angel. She came in, and was so calm with us. She explained everything that was going to happen. She handled Tyke with so much love and care but she also gave us our space to process. She gave him the sedative and then sat back and away so we could have our time saying goodbye. Even when she was checking to see if he was asleep, she petted his face like he was her own dog and it really meant so much to us. As she was about to give him the anesthesia, my ex-husband jumped in and asked if she could wait just one more minute. She was so patient and totally understood what we needed. My other dog meanwhile started growling at her and when I asked if she needed me to lock him up (which would probably have just stressed me out even more), she said, “no, he is just expressing his unhappiness with the situation.

After Tyke had passed, she went outside to give us our time to really grieve. She never came back in until we went out and got her. She was so patient, we never felt rushed. Even when we were loading Tykie in the car, she gave me a huge hug and said how sorry she was for the loss of Tyke. As I started to walk away and she was pushing the stretcher in the car, I heard her say so quietly “good boy.” It really touched my heart because even though he was gone, she was still treating him with such care, respect and love. I will remember that forever. And just a few days later we received a hand written sympathy card in the mail. Even how Tyke’s ashes were delivered, in a beautiful cherry wood box and velvet bag. All of it mattered.

Dr. Dana, I just want to personally say thank you. Thank you for taking what was truly one of the hardest days of our lives and making it as peaceful as possible and taking away all of the stress that you possibly could for us. You said you love what you do and I understand why. Because you help families like us navigate what feels impossible and you help our beautiful pets cross over in the most loving and safe way. You are a gift and I am so thankful we found you. I just wanted you to know how much we appreciate you and how you helped us."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Abigail Shearin, VMD, PhD"Making the decision to euthanize our 18 year old cat, Sequoia, was difficult but it was definitely time. Lap of Love was recommended to us by our Vet and I couldn't be happier with our choice. What an amazingly calm and peaceful way to say good bye. Dr. Abby was so very gentle and compassionate. This is the only way I will ever do this again and will recommend Lap of Love to anyone who is in the sad situation of having to let go of a pet. The support and tenderness of Dr. Abby will never be forgotten. Thank you so very much for this precious service."Beth GambleBurkeAugust 26, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jo Millard"Dr. Jo was sensitive, kind, respectful, and she walked us through the process. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Melanie Santspree"After a brief and unexpected illness with our three year old black lab we had to make the tough decision to put her to sleep. When it came time to make this choice we wanted this to be as easy and painless as possible for our princess Callie and Dr. Melanie gave us just that. She explained everything before she did it and ensured us that our princess wasn't going to feel a thing. Dr. Melanie helped us to be sure that we were making the best choice possible for our baby. I cannot say enough good things about this company as well as the vet that came to our home. From the moment I first called Lap of Love to the time Dr. Melanie left our home we had the best experience we possibly could, everyone with Lap of Love went above our expectations to make a very difficult day a little bit easier."Makayla HillicossAcraAugust 25, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jennifer Walters"Dr. Walters was very compassionate and as gentle as possible with Jake. She let us have our time, and took her time with him, sitting on the floor with us as Jake rested in my lap. Dr. Walters and Lap of Love erased the greatest dread of my heart - which was the fear of having to return to our veterinarian’s clinic once again, which Jake became extremely nervous and fearful of even when we came into the parking lot. Jake was able to be at home surrounded with his brother, me and all his comfy beds and pillows while he nibbled on his favorite - a hamburger patty. It was not easy in the least, but so much better than being in the sterile environment of a clinic on a cold stainless steel table."Janie JonesCharlotteAugust 25, 2019Jake's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Tina Olivieri"Dr. Tina was so kind, and professional. She grieved along with us in a way that allowed us the space we needed as we put our cat Kismet asleep after 17 years of love and affection. It was the hardest thing to go through and Tina never rushed us to go faster than we were ready. She was gentle with each step and made sure to take care of our other cat during the process. She gave us the words of assurance we needed as he transitioned, and when he left with her we knew that he was in good hands and his remains would be respected. Dr. Tina is a professional and a true midwife to animals who are at the end of their life. You and your pet will be well cared for with someone like Dr. Tina providing compassionate end of life care when needed most. Thank you, Dr. Tina."Cynthia KelvinLOS ANGELESAugust 25, 2019
