Helping Families Honor the Lives Of Those They Love
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jessica Wilbourne, DVM"Dr. Jessica was very respectful, gentle, and professional. She was a pleasure to work with, and even thought to include our dog in the process of saying goodbye to our cat Penny, which I never would have thought to do in the moment as we usually need to put him in another room when a stranger is visiting due to his excitability and anxiety. She let us take our time saying goodbye and we did not feel rushed at all."Patricia KnowlesHATBORO, PennsylvaniaFebruary 2, 2019Penny's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Erin Deveau, DVM"Thank you, Dr. Erin, for helping us through this difficult time. Dr. Erin was so lovely and kind. Her soothing voice and compassionate bedside manner were instrumental in keeping us calm. Rosie sensed Dr. Erin's love and never showed nervousness. Dr. Erin guided us through the experience, explaining each step in detail. She answered all questions and never rushed us. We will forever be grateful to Dr. Erin for being there during one of the most painful and difficult moments of our lives. Saying farewell to a family member is never easy. Dr. Erin provided a dignified experience for our beloved Rosie. Blessings to you, Dr. Erin.

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Erin Deveau, DVM"Dr Erin was very kind and compassionate nd answered all my questions.. She was gentle with Esther. It didn't feel rushed. We said our goodbyes. My other cat Kiki didn't come out so once Esther passed, I took the basket into the room for Kiki. Kiki climbed inside the basket to see Esther then she rubbed her face on the basket to say goodbye. Once I brought Esther's remains home in an urn, Kiki rubbed and licked the urn. Kiki understood."Amy LouiseAlbuquerque, New MexicoFebruary 2, 2019Esther's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Suzanne Cosentino, DVM"Obviously a very difficult and hard time for anyone, but having Dr. Cosentino come to our house to make it easier on Buster was the best thing we ever could have done for him. At the point of his passing he had been drug to the vet a few times and very unhappy with being moved anymore. She was also extremely comforting to my wife and I. She's very good at helping the families and pets with this difficult transition."Grandview, MissouriFebruary 2, 2019Buster's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jo Millard, DVM"Dr. Jo was absolutely wonderful! During this heartbreaking decision to let my sweet Hal cross the Rainbow Bridge, she came in and treated Hal like her own. She was very warm and compassionate. We sat with Hal and took our time talking through everything that will happen and what to expect. The process was so peaceful, stress-free and I am so glad I found Lap of Love to provide this in-home service.
Thank you, Dr. Jo, for all you do and for what you did for Hal and me - I appreciate it more than you know!"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Alexandra Saura, DVM"Dr. Saura is just "what the Doctor's ordered!" We met her during one of the most painful moments and she transformed what could have been traumatizing into a sad but celebratory moment. It's hard to articulate just how genuinely kind, patient and compassionate Dr. Saura was not only in the period prior to our Ginger's passing but throughout the process and after. She brings warmth and humanity to a situation that's difficult and does so with effortless grace. We will recommend her over and over again."Mwende MwinziSuffern, NYFebruary 2, 2019Ginger kalekye edozie's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Tina Olivieri, DVM"Dr. Tina was the embodiment of love and compassion. I couldn't imagine a more loving and caring way to say goodbye to our friend of 15 years, and it was made possible by Dr. Tina's warmth and nurturing presence. Everything was handled with the utmost care. It was so heart-breaking, but when Dr. Tina said she would treat our cat Monkey as if he was her own, we knew in our heart she meant it. I cannot recommend enough Dr. Tina and Lap of Love for this service. We are so very grateful."Sam AltmanLos Angeles, CaliforniaFebruary 1, 2019

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kim Bruce, DVM, CVA"Thank You Dr. Kim -
We were extremely fortunate to have you by our side in this difficult time. Abby was thankful too, I know, with the way she came at you when you arrived in the room.

We miss our dear girl Abby terribly, but the pain is gone. That’s the relief we should all remember.

You have a gift to do what you are doing and we admire you for having the strength. We wish you all the best in the future and are happier knowing that other families have you there with them.

As our son’s toddler class said in their thoughtful video to us on Friday - Abby is only on the other side of the rainbow.

Big hugs!
Thank you again - SO much."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Carrie Roberts, DVM"It has been one month today since our sweet girl, Sindi, had to say goodbye. She was the joy of our household consisting of me, my son and our four kitties. Her presence is missed 24-7. I drive by "her" park everyday and imagine her happily walking the path or bounding down a quiet hill in the park off the leash (don't tell anyone). She was a foodie, a cat rescuer, my son's emotional support dog and everyone's best friend, except the mail lady and Uncle Benny. She loved going across the bridge over the Mississippi to one of her favorite stores, Rural King, in Waterloo, IL. She also loved PetSmart (aka the kitty store) outings where almost 10 years ago (2/9/2009 my dad's birthday - he would have been 100) she rescued our kitty, Tara. We were "attempting" to leave the store, but she would not have it and basically pulled me down to the last kitty "cage" and began to paw at the cute Tuxedo, Tara. Tara pawed back and the rest is history. Her foster mom met us there and Tara came home with us. They remained BBF's until the very end as Tara stayed by her side as she passed. She visits me in my dreams often and I still hear her "clickity-clacking" on the floor. Sometimes I hear her barking to come in. She always has a smile on her face in those dreams! Lap of Love made an extremely sad situation so much easier. Their gentle tone and Dr. Carrie's caring demeanor was so comforting. She carried our girl out to her car in her arms in a beautiful flowered fleece blanket and said she would take care of her as if she were her own. I kissed Sindi's little gray face for the last time to say goodbye. Gone, but NEVER forgotten."Terry GardnerSt. Louis, MissouriFebruary 1, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kayla Stomack, DVM"Dr. Kayla, I cannot express enough of how thankful I was to have found Lap of Love. As hard as it was to say goodbye to Luke, you were amazing. So gentle, kind, compassionate and understanding. I was thankful that we didnt have to make Luke walk to the car, be anxious in his vet's office and be in an uncomfortable environment that our pets have when they go to the vets office. He was at home, his own home on his favorite place to lay, in his own atmosphere surround by his family in a place he called home. You were very loving and kind and it meant the world to us. For something as painful as saying good bye, it was also beautiful in the way of him being home and he loved getting all his treats in while you got him comfortable. I wasnt sure what to expect but after I read your bio on the website, I knew it was the way to go and you also had your own Luke. You knew our pain and treated our baby as if he was your own. I cant thank you enough for that. I highly recommend to anyone who is in this type of situation, to use your services. Thank you and may God continue to bless you in the work you do..."Debbie ZucalSterling Heights, MichiganFebruary 1, 2019Luke's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kristine Campanelli, DVM"On January 21, 2019, our family had to say good-bye to our beloved Rottweiler, Maya. Although Maya was ill and we knew her time was coming to an end, saying your final farewell is always heartbreaking. We had planned on having Maya put to rest by our beloved veterinarian in her office. However, due to a turn of events in her condition, it was no longer the best option for Maya. Through our vet's recommendation, we contacted Lap of Love for arrangements. In addition, a few months prior, Lap of Love was called simply to ask a question or two. Surprisingly, a question or two turned into a long, very helpful conversation with Dr. Heather. Although there was no payment or commitment, Dr. Heather gave me so much time to ask questions, give advice, console me, and was just a supportive, trusted person to talk to. Thank you so much.

On the day Maya went to Heaven, arrangements were made with Dr. Kristine to come to our home. With Maya's entire family present, surrounded by love, warmth and calm, in her familiar surroundings, Dr. Kristine lovingly and gently guided Maya towards the Rainbow Bridge. Although our hearts were in incredible pain, Maya was not. She passed peacefully and sweetly before us, like an angel.
Dr. Kristine was extremely professional (for her veterinary skills), but her compassion, her calm, and her love for Maya was what stood out. We are so grateful for her presence and the honor of having her with us during this extremely difficult time. Maya is now safe in Heaven (and waiting at the Rainbow Bridge) - free from pain, and doctors, and medicine, and sadness. Maya, our Warrior Princess - YOU ARE FREE SWEET ANGEL.

Thank you to Lap of Love - all your wonderful phone staff, and especially, Dr. Kristine, for helping us during this extremely difficult time. We will be forever grateful and will never forget you. God bless all."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kim Slade, DVM"Dr. Kim is an amazing person in addition to a tremendous veterinarian. My baby cat was diagnosed with probable lymphoma last May by a local veterinarian. I was in denial for awhile, how could this funny unique friend be ill? As the months passed and life became hectic it became obvious she was seriously ill to the point that I called Lap of Love on the recommendation of a friend.
Dr. Kim came prepared to do whatever was necessary. She intuitively knew I wasn't ready to part with my baby so she worked up an intensive plan to bring her back from the brink. Dr. Kim gave me 2 months, relatively positive good months with my baby. As the picture below shows her in one of her favorite sleeping positions, on her back, legs up, relaxed three weeks after the protocols were followed. Unfortunately, the illness took its toll and rather than have her suffer we took the best possible option for her. Dr. Kim's compassion, honesty and true caring for both me and Redcat enabled me to make one of the hardest decisions I have had to make. I am so grateful to her. I will miss my baby for a long time but Lap of Love's commitment to both human and animal makes a huge difference in such a terrible circumstance."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Heather Manfredi, DVM"I cannot say enough about how wonderful Dr. Manfredi was in helping me with my 22.,5 year old cat at the end of her life this past week. We had taken my cat, Dusty to the vet on Saturday, as I was very concerned about her sudden illness. Although she was treated at the vet and released, her condition deteriorated considerably and I knew it was time to make a decision to help her as she wasn't getting better. I called on a Sunday evening after 8 p.m. and was able to get an in-home appointment for 9 a.m. the next day. I received a confirmation call before Dr. Manfredi's visit and she arrived exactly when she said she would be there. The compassion and care that Dr. Manfredi gave to both me and my precious cat was so comforting at a time when it was sorely needed. Dr. Manfredi confirmed that my decision to help Dusty earn her "angel wings" was the right decision. Dusty was able to leave this world in the home that had been hers for the past 22 1/2 years, in comfort, on my lap while being held and petted by someone she knew and trusted. Dr. Manfredi made a clay pawprint of Dusty for me to have as a remembrance of my cherished pet. The entire experience, although incredibly sad and heartbreaking, was also comforting knowing Dusty was not stressed being put in a carrier and driven to the vet crying and anxious in the last minutes of her life. This in home service was worth every bit of the fee. I would recommend Dr. Manfredi and Lap of Love when you know your beloved pet is at the end of their life."Mary UptonMassapequa Park, NYFebruary 1, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Amy Parrish, BVMS"Dr. Parrish was a true blessing to our family. From the moment she came to our house, she got to know both of our dogs. She truly listened to us and answered all of our questions. She made this difficult decision easier for us. She gave us time to say goodbye and even provided words of her own which I appreciated because I was unable to voice them. She allowed me to hold him in my lap where he felt most comfortable. Her warmth and compassion will never be forgotten! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!"Heather OverholtSlatington, PennsylvaniaJanuary 31, 2019Neiko's Pet Memorial
