Helping Families Honor the Lives Of Those They Love
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates, VMD"I cannot adequately convey how well the Lap of Love team, headed by Dr. Bates, guided me through my Honey's transition. They were incredibly kind and considerate throughout the process - beginning with the painful call to their office through to the end of Honey's life. I was questioning my decision but they made it very clear that my decision was 100% correct (unlike Honey's regular vet). I truly believe that a "saint" walked through my front door and took special care of my best friend. I will be forever grateful for their compassion and care."Tracy DuffieldConshohocken, PennsylvaniaNovember 26, 2018
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Ashley Payne, DVM"Our 15-year old Jack Russell Terrier, Harley, had been declining in health for several months. We made the decision over Thanksgiving weekend that, because we loved him so much, it was time for him to transition. Dr. Ashley was warm, kind and gentle from the moment that she arrived, and talked us through every step of the process. Harley's last engagement on this earth was eating a piece of bacon from my hand, and that memory will always make me smile. I cannot say enough about how grateful we are that Lap of Love was there for us, as the thought of having to do this anywhere but our own home was just not something that we could comprehend."Hannah Beth MillmanAtlanta, GeorgiaNovember 26, 2018
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jessica Jensen, DVM"I want to thank and praise Mary (who answered my phone call and followed up with emails) and Dr. Jessica who showered Lily and me with the greatest of unconditional love and dignity. Their compassion and caring are gifts to all of us."Deb MorrisLas Vegas, NevadaNovember 26, 2018Lily Fa Pooch's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Karen Gadberry, DVM"We made the gut-wrenching decision to send our little guy on the Rainbow Bridge the day before Thanksgiving. Dr. Karen came to our house on Thanksgiving Day. She was so kind and loving. I was barely functional, but she was patient, and kind and allowed us as much time as we needed. She clearly understood how much we were hurting and was so tender with our little Boo. She made us feel like we were making the right decision at the right time.
She led him out of this world gently and quickly.
She made the worst day of my life a little bit better."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates, VMD"Dr. Brad came to our home recently to give our sweet Jay the peaceful send off we wanted for him.
Dr. Brad was caring and compassionate and very aware of our sadness. He explained every step of the process as he went so we knew what Jay was experiencing.
We were able to say good-bye in the comfort and peace of our home so Jay was not stressed or scared.
Losing a pet is heartbreaking but Dr. Brad and the staff will help you say good-bye at home.
We are grateful to have found Dr Brad and Lap of Love,

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Annie Dion-Byrd, DVM"Dr. Annie was so comforting and compassionate, she really helped us thru such a difficult decision. We really appreciated how she was able to come on such short notice. She truly is very caring, allowing us all the time we needed to give our little Dusty his farewell. I was so grateful this service was available, again on such short notice. We were happy that Dusty was able to pass on in the comfort and surroundings of his own home with his dad and mom with him. As heartbreaking as it was, Dr. Annie was so gentle and comforting and again allowed us to spend as much time privately as we needed with Dusty. We can't say enough about how wonderful Dr. Annie was and would advise all pet owners to consider this as your best option when it's time to say goodbye to your beloved pet."John MortonSanford, FloridaNovember 25, 2018
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jordy Merrifield, DVM"My beloved cat took a very quick turn for the worse after suffering the past year with kidney failure. I knew that it was time but I had been dreading it for months. When I pictured having to go through the pain of putting him down, it was utterly traumatic. Thanks to Dr. Jordy, it was anything but. While it was sad, of course, Dr. Jordy provided a very peaceful and serene goodbye. I am so beyond thankful for her amazing work and helping me through the process. From the moment I called to make the appointment, to the few days after, Dr. Jordy and Lap of Love have been nothing but amazing, patient, and comforting. Thank you for making this painful goodbye feel like a tribute and a beautiful sendoff."Caryn RybarsykScottsdale, ArizonaNovember 25, 2018Bailey's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Amanda Page, DVM"Dr. Amanda treated my babies with so much compassion and love. I had to put one of my dogs down, Belle, due to kidney failure. She was about 15 years old, her hind legs immobile for about 5 years & I assisted her every 5-6 hours to use the bathroom. She's my soul mate. She was there for me for 11 years through heartaches, laughter and growth. We grew and experienced so many things together from traveling across the country for our move, camping, hiking and meeting so many people and so many dogs.

This was my first time losing my best friend and its been over a week now and I'm still struggling with my daily living. Having Dr. Amanda there and being a part of this was more than what I could ask for. I would give anything for my babies and Dr. Amanda was meant to be there with us. Even under the circumstances, Dr. Amanda felt like a lifelong friend/family. She made sure Denali our other dog was comfortable and a part of what was happening. Thankfully, that same day when I knew it was time Dr. Amanda was available. She made us feel so comfortable and walked us through the procedure. She was so kind to my fiancé, Denali and myself. Thank you for taking care of my sweet Belle."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Shannon Skevakis, DVM"We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Shannon Skevakis. When the time came for us to say goodbye to Slim, having the opportunity to say goodbye to him in a comfortable and safe environment that he knew was priceless.

Dr. Skevakis was both thorough in her explanation of the procedure and sympathetic to our situation, allowing plenty of time for us to say goodbye.

Slim was comfortable, surrounded by love and felt zero discomfort. We thoroughly recommend Lap of Love for a peaceful and calm goodbye to your furbaby."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sandra Simko, DVM"Dr. Sandra was kind, gentle and compassionate. She took time to hear our stories of Madden and allowed us time to say goodbye. She was so respectful of Madden and keeping her comfortable at the end. As hard as it was to let her go, Dr. Sandra eased Madden into a peaceful passing. We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to keep her home with our family. Thank you ❤️"Lisa FailaceWayne, New JerseyNovember 24, 2018Madden's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Amanda Page, DVM"Dr. Amanda Page made this most difficult of times much more bearable. Her kindness and understanding knew no bounds. She thoroughly explained the process to us and gave us as much time as we needed to say goodbye to our dear little guy. She supported our decision with medical evidence that it was time... and she sat on the floor with us as we held him for the last time. She is an angel on earth for grieving pet parents. There are no words to adequately express what I feel about Dr. Page and Lap of Love. On a practical side, she did not charge us more because this was happening on a weekend and made a paw print for us and cut a lock of hair with no extra charge. I found their price to be lower than other local services with more offered for less money. Dr. Page will always be in my heart as an angel that helped us navigate through a most sad situation."Diane HolmesSan Juan Capistrano, CaliforniaNovember 24, 2018
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jessica Bollinger, DVM"Dr. Bollinger's compassion and empathy was so appreciated during our in-home visit. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Aspen Perretta, DVM"Dr. Aspen was a model of efficiency, sensitivity, and kindness. She knew not only how to do her work but how to honor the fragility and fear of a dying cat and the sorrow of the humans who loved her. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jo Millard, DVM"Dr. Jo Millard with Lap of Love made an big difference when we had to let our beloved Cleo cross that Bridge just 9 days short of her 10th birthday. She was very compassionate and very gentle with Cleo. Kisses and cuddles for her and warm hugs for her family. Cleo was a one of a kind soulmate dog. She will be missed greatly. I highly recommend Dr. Jo. She made this sad occasion easier and reassured us we were making the right decision. Thank you Dr. Jo!"Kimberly RoeWoodstock, GeorgiaNovember 23, 2018
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Abigail Shearin, VMD, PhD"Lap of Love is absolutely the best service for those with pets who need end of life care!!!

It is one year to the day since I lost my precious Roxie. I received an email today from Doctor Abby at Lap of Love honoring my departed dog. It's an anniversary I expected only myself to remember, but her kind words made me realize I'm not alone in my grief today.

Last year, after having surgery on her right front paw at a local veterinary hospital, my German Shepherd mix suddenly became lame in both back legs. It was late on the eve of Thanksgiving. Roxie was so scared and in pain. I stayed. with her all night. I called Lap of Love late at night to see if they could come out on Thanksgiving and help. Dr. Abby arrived on the holiday to help me decide what was best for Roxie. She listened as I explained my pup's situation. We both agreed that additional surgery would not be in her best interest. Dr. Abby let me spend as much time as I needed with Roxie. She gave her a shot to calm her down and I cuddled with her, stroking her fur, and reassuring her that it all would be okay. Then, only when I said I was ready, Dr. Abby helped Roxie cross the Rainbow Bridge.

I have never dealt with anyone in the veterinary field who was more sympathetic and truly supportive in our most vulnerable time. She not only took excellent care of Roxie, but also of me. I told Dr. Abby that she was an angel. As much as I loved pets, I could never do what she does, especially with such grace and dignity. It is not uncommon for someone to be good with animals, or good with people, but to find someone who is so reassuring to both, and at such a painful time, is truly a miracle. I recommend lap of love, its employees and doctors wholeheartedly!!"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Karen Gadberry, DVM"Dr. Karen Gadberry was patient, gentle, and understanding when we had to say goodbye to our Philip, and there are no words strong enough to thank her. She let us cry, and helped us get past the final hurdle of saying goodbye without making the goodbye feel rushed. Would that all doctors, for humans and non-humans alike, were more like her. Thank you, Dr. Karen."Kathy RoutliffeChicago, IllinoisNovember 22, 2018Philip Morrison's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jennifer Walters, DVM"We have a wonderful veterinarian but knew we could not take Sadie to the clinic as she became anxious outside the home in the recent years. Sadie was able to be in her home and the familiar surroundings allowed her to be calm. Sadie had a peaceful transition and Dr. Jen was kind and compassionate."Cathy HeadCharlotte, North CarolinaNovember 22, 2018Sadie's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Aspen Perretta, DVM"What can I say? I lost my boy today after a month of him being sick. He lived a long and happy life and it was unbearable to watch him go downhill. We called Lap of Love because the night before, he took a horrible turn for the worst and was crying out in pain. We called and they came that day. Dr. Perretta said all the right things that I needed to hear. Our dog passed away an hour before she got to us, yet she still came, giving us the peace of mind that Z was gone. She made us a paw cast that I will keep forever. I will forever be thankful for first our Vet who understood that we needed our beloved pet to die at home and also for Dr. Perretta for making it as easy as it could be. Thank God for people like her, our pets are our family and having him die at home was everything to us."Patricia GillieIMPERIAL, PennsylvaniaNovember 21, 2018Zj's Pet Memorial
