We are so grateful to Lap of Love and especially Dr. Mike for helping us say goodbye to our beloved dog, Callie. During one of the hardest moments our family has faced, Dr. Mike was incredibly compassionate, patient, and respectful. He took the time to explain everything and made sure Callie was comfortable and at peace the entire time
I cannot express the gratitude I have for Lap of Love and Dr. Deb. They assisted my Olive to pass on while in her favorite spot, my lap. Having faced this experience many times with previous pets at the end of life, despite how much we love our Vet and staff, I can truly say having the service done in home made the process so much more peaceful for Olive and us. It is never easy no matter the situation, but Lap of Love and Dr. Deb understood Olive was more than “just a pet”. They were professional caring and supportive. The first call to lap of love was just to find out the process. Everything was explained, and it was easy to register Olive. A few short days later when I knew Olive was suffering from her cancer, I placed the call in the morning and Dr. Deb came out that same afternoon. Dr. Deb was very supportive and caring. Olive was comfortable and passed peacefully. We were able to say goodbye to Olive in the comfort of our home. I will always have that memory of Olive in a comfortable basket tucked in a soft cozy blanket as she left with Dr. Deb to take her for cremation. Such a better memory than those I have had in the past. I cannot imagine how hard it is for Dr. Deb to provide the service as frequently as I’m sure she does, but I think the good Lord that she was here for Olive.
