Lap of Love Veterinarian: Anne Mitchell, VMD"Our beloved Holly was our first pet and a true member of the family. As Holly's heath deteriorated, our vet recommended we contact Lap of Love to assist with our wishes to have Holly euthanized at home in a conformable and familiar setting. From our first call to Lap of Love to Dr. Anne coming to our home; our family and Holly were treated with the utmost kindness, compassion, empathy, respect, and professionalism. Dr. Anne, took the time to examine Holly and reaffirm our decision was the right decision. Dr. Anne further explained the procedure and allowed us the time we needed to say our goodbye's. Holly was completely at ease and passed in the comfort of our home peacefully with my wife and I at her side.

It wasn't easy to make the decision to say goodbye to Holly, but the experience with everyone at Lap of Love made this experience the best it could be."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Shannon Skevakis, DVM"I want to thank Dr. Shannon for being to gentle, caring, and understanding. She made us feel at ease by helping us see that we were doing the right thing for Princess. She was so patient and allowed us the time we needed to say goodbye to our Princess. I wouldn’t have wanted Princess’s last moments to be any other way. I would highly recommend Lap of Love to assist with your loving pets last moments here on earth. It was worth every penny to be able to love all over my Princess until her last breath. Thank you again Dr. Shannon and Lap of Love!"Carmen MoralesNewark, New JerseyJanuary 29, 2019Princess's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kristine Campanelli, DVM"At this very difficult time Lap of love was compassionate, understanding and let us take our time to say our last goodbye. Dr. Kristine was very gently in every way. I will never bring an animal to be put to sleep on a cold metal table, which is what I did to my first love of my life, my Sheltie. My Bailey, a Maltese, was 3 lbs and also my love so when it was time to go I was lucky enough to find Lap of Love .. So happy I did, we all sat on the floor by Baileys basket. He was so comfortable and that made me so happy, his own house and basket, no pain. I can’t thank you enough."Donna JohnsonDix Hills, NYJanuary 29, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Rachel Cain, DVM"While we knew our sweet Lilly did not have a lot of time left due to lymphoma, she declined very suddenly within a 24 hour period. It was a Sunday and I was very worried that no one would be able to come and help Lilly ease her suffering. Amazingly, Dr. Cain was able to be there within a few hours of my call. My two teenage girls were so upset. Dr. Cain was kind and gentle and very quickly got Lilly more comfortable. This gave us a bit more time to say goodbye with Lilly in a comfortable state. This is never a pleasant time for any family but Dr Cain and Lap of Love made it as smooth as it could be."Kym FurneyCharlotte, North CarolinaJanuary 29, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jessica Jensen, DVM"Dr. Jessica has been Katie's Dr. for a number of years and we were blessed that she was on duty that day to be able to help Katie cross. Katie was so happy to see her and we think Katie knew that is was her time to leave us. Dr. Jessica has always been kind and sweet and very knowledgeable and has extended Katie's life by quite a few years because 13 is a great age for a St. Bernard.

Thank you, Dr. Jessica, for helping us through this very difficult time."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sally Lynch, DVM"When I got the news that my beautiful 15 year old baby girl Maddie was going to have to leave us soon, our vet recommended Lap of Love. I was so apprehensive and didn’t know what to expect. Dr. Sally came to our home and had an immediate soothing and caring energy about her. She explained the entire process and let me have as much time as I needed. I cannot say enough about her. She was exactly who I needed to be there. My husband was stuck out of town due to weather (she came during a snow storm). She was gentle and kind and treated Maddie like she was her own. Thank you for making the worst day one that I can also look back on with fond memories of how peaceful it was."Samantha TerrioStoneham, MassachusettsJanuary 28, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Carrie Roberts, DVM"This is the second time in the last few months we've spent time with Dr. Carrie. She was the one to come over to my in-laws house back in November when we had to say goodbye to their dog Chloe. Our second time was with our own dog "Bear" who was a 15 year old black lab I had gotten in college. There are really no words to describe how wonderful Dr. Carrie is. She made both of these terrible days more bearable, and her genuine care really did make the process easier. Knowing Bear could pass peacefully in my lap, and surrounded by those that loved him meant the world to me. Her kind words and soothing voice were there for us as we went through the horrible process of saying goodbye. I am so grateful for this service that she gave us. Thank you Dr. Carrie, as my husband said, you've become one of the family."Julia SpragueSt .Louis, MissouriJanuary 28, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Casey Choate, DVM"Dr. Casey was so kind and compassionate. She did not rush us, she allowed us to have our last moments with Timber with such gentleness. She explained every step which was so comforting. One thing she said to me was "you are doing right by Timber". I can't tell you how much it meant that she said that, it was a question that was tormenting me for weeks leading up. Thank you Dr. Casey for coming to our home to care for our sweet Timber."Oana NituHappy Valley, OregonJanuary 28, 2019Timber's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Heather Manfredi, DVM"During the hardest time of my life, Dr. Manfredi was sensitive and gentle. I couldn't have asked for a better send off for my best old friend. From the second she walked in the door I felt comfortable and safe knowing Vaeda would be ok."Victoria BellinaSMITHTOWN, NYJanuary 28, 2019Vaeda's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Katie Stender, DVM"We had to euthanize our beautiful Dexter on November 7, 2018. It was a painful decision but we knew it was time, thanks to the great article on this website. Our 12.5 year-old rescued lab mix had become so anxious and had gotten to the place where he didn't even want us to touch him. We didn't want to stress him out further by taking him to a vet clinic where he would have to deal with waiting and other animals. We found Lap of Love through a google search and felt confident based on the great reviews. Dr. Katie came to our house and we immediately felt confident we had made the right decision. She was so loving and kind to our sweet boy (and us). She sat on the floor next to Dexie's bed and us talking to us and loving on Dexter. He immediately relaxed in her presence. She explained everything to us and after about 30 minutes, she gently gave him a shot to relax him. He almost left us at that point. It was so great seeing him relaxed for the first time in days. He gently left us and was free. Dr. Katie cried with us and took the best care of Dexter, even wrapping him in a comfy blanket. She made a tortuous experience absolutely beautiful. She even assured us it was time for our boy to cross that rainbow bridge. I cannot recommend Lap of Love enough!! They are the best!!! Thank you Dr. Katie! We hope to not have to see you for a while, but you will be who we call when it's time for our kitty Molly & 12 year-old cockapoo Stella."Deb & Tim HarrellJacksonville, FloridaJanuary 28, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Rachel Klickman, DVM, CVA"I can't say enough good things about my experience with Lap of Love and particularly Dr. Rachel Klickman. The staff at Lap of Love was a Godsend at the most difficult time in a pet lover's life. I'm grateful that Dr. Rachel was the one who helped my Jacques cross the Rainbow Bridge. They have been exceptionally responsive, caring and compassionate. Dr. Rachel brings a wealth of experience and knowledge that I've rarely found in over 30 years of having fur babies. Thank you for all that you do!"Judy ColemanBaltimore, MarylandJanuary 28, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jennifer Walters, DVM"I cannot thank Dr. Jennifer and the Lap of Love staff enough. From the first interaction on the phone with Dianne, this heartbreaking process was made easy. Dianne was professional and kind on the phone and she followed up with an email containing documents to help our special needs son through the grieving process.
For the actual procedure, Dr. Jennifer was thoughtful, loving and showed more bed side manner to our dog than most human doctors show to their patients.
Our sweet Rosie passed at home surrounded by all who love her. I hope one day when my time comes, I am surrounded by this much love and compassion."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Ashleigh Rhoades, DVM"Thank you so much Dr. Ashleigh! You made something terrible a very peaceful experience.
Dr. Ashleigh was so professional and respectful of what we were going through. She was flexible so that my husband could be there and gave us a big hug when it was over. I would love to say that I will never have to go through this again but it is inevitable and a service like this made it so much more bearable for us and our dog."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Keri Morgan, DVM, MPH"At a most painful time in our lives, Dr. Keri Morgan was the light during agonizing upheaval. Initially contacted for hospice consultation, Dr. Morgan's genuine compassion and knowledge quickly surfaced. Her concern for our Lu was paramount. Making notable physical, medical and pharmacological suggestions; we felt fortunate to have more time. Unfortunately within a week our Lu's symptoms exacerbated and she was clearly in crisis. Dr. Morgan's dedication to Lu's care and willingness to provide loving compassion and expertise for us as well as our surviving dog was remarkable. Her thorough explanations, gentle touch, sensitivity to us and Tillie was beyond comforting. Though Lu was her primary concern, she easily addressed the needs of the grieving family members and Tillie. I have the utmost respect in and easily trusted her abilities. Dr Morgan's an exceptional vet with whom we'd been granted at our most dire time. I would highly recommend her for whatever capacity is needed for your loving companions."Victoria CooperWebster Groves, MissouriJanuary 28, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dawnetta Woodruff, DVM"We can not put into words the gratitude we have for what Dr. Dawnetta did for us and our Jasper. Everything went so peaceful and all our questions were answered. She treated him as one of her own. It is truly a blessing to have Lap of Love as an option for us and for others. Jasper hated the vets and I could not live with having this done at a vets office. He would have been so scared. Having it done at home allowed us to all be there for him as a family and have it done in a place where he felt most comfortable and loved. We have kids and making death a part of their reality in the healthiest way possible was also important. It really allowed all of us the closure we needed. Thank you Dr. Dawnetta and Lap of Love!"Amanda DolsonBallwin, MissouriJanuary 28, 2019Jasper's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Leslie Peltier, DVM"Dr. Leslie was amazing. She is a truly wonderful caring person. She made a terrible situation as loving, warm , and easy as possible. We are truly grateful for her and Lap of Love.

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Suzanne Cosentino, DVM"Dr. Cosentino was so incredibly kind, gentle and loving. At no time did I feel she was “in a hurry” or just doing a job. Instead she asked about Licorice and told me stories about her fur-family. She was respectful, but not sad or depressing. I could tell that she truly loves all creatures, and she practices what she preaches—love them as long as you have them, and the final act of love is setting them free from suffering. She told us what she was doing in each step, and allowed me to try to be as close to my sweet girl as I could, until she flew away. I am so grateful for her kindness, gentleness and understanding. She truly was an answer to a prayer and I highly recommend her to anyone who needs an awesome vet."Kathy BondLiberty, MissouriJanuary 27, 2019Licorice's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Nellie Wilbers, DVM"We are extremely grateful for the services Dr. Nellie provided during a very difficult time. Pearl was in obvious distress, and we didn’t want her to suffer any longer. Dr. Nellie arrived the same evening that I made the phone call. She was empathetic, patient, and understanding. She explained everything she was doing, and helped us feel at peace with our decision."Yasmin MartiniHilliard, OhioJanuary 27, 2019Pearl's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Erica Fry, DVM"Working with Dr. Erica was wonderful. She was so understanding and treated our baby Toby so respectfully. Our family has used Lap of Love once before and I will always use them and will recommend them over and over. Our family are animal lovers and knowing there is someone who will come to your home so that your pet is treated where they are familiar makes all the difference in the world. Thank you Dr. Erica and Lap of Love for the services you provide!"Karen MooreMansfield, TexasJanuary 27, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Rachel Cain, DVM"Dr. Rachel Cain was honestly an angel sent to us right when we needed her.
