Helping Families Honor the Lives Of Those They Love
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kristine Campanelli, DVM"Saying goodbye to our pets who become part of the family is such a difficult thing to do. I cannot say enough how kind and patient Dr. Kristine was with my boy, but also with me. Not having to make him more uncomfortable by getting into a cat carrier, riding in the car, all things he was not used to! Being in the comfort of his own home, with his sounds, his family in his surroundings he has known his whole life is invaluable. So grateful to have found Lap of Love and someone like Dr. Kristine."Peggy LicalziWest Islip, NYNovember 19, 2018
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Steven Schultz, DVM"In response to our need, Dr. Steven came to us with short notice on a snowy day to help us give Romeo his peaceful rest.
He was wonderful to all of us and he was particularly sensitive to the feelings of my adult daughter and my 9 year old granddaughter, both so attached to Romeo, as we all were. We are very thankful to Dr. Steven for all that he did."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Melanie Santspree, DVM"Dr. Melanie came into our lives as we planned to say goodbye to our beloved 17 1/2 year old dachshund. She came to our home and immediately embraced each member of the family with a warm hug. She gave my precious Princess lots of love while she explained the euthanasia process and purpose to all of us. She offered my 7 year old sister a coloring book and age appropriate explanation of what was going to happen. Saying goodbye to my Prin was one of the hardest decisions I have had to make thus far in life. But, Dr. Melanie offered reassurance and a sense of confirmation that this is what was best for my baby. She invited family members who seemed distant to talk about what they were feeling and reassured them that what they were feeling was normal. Dr. Melanie and her LVT Dwight offered a sense of light and reassurance that this was best for our Prin. They welcomed and loved on our other dogs as they said goodbye to their sibling- even our Chow Chow (who is typically terrified of strangers) showed them both love! Dr. Melanie and Dwight both became a part of our family that day. We rest assured that our Princess crossed the rainbow bridge peacefully while surrounded by people and pet friends that love her."Valeska LaPlancheSaratoga Springs, NYNovember 19, 2018
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Shannon Skevakis, DVM"Our cat Whiskers was declining. I was torn about bringing her to the vet to be euthanized. I didn’t want her to have any stress in her last moments. I called a vet who made house calls and they recommended Lap of Love. Dr. Shannon was so kind, gentle and explained very well. This is an invaluable service. To help your animal (fur baby) in such a time of need in your own home was very comforting. My 17 year old cat Whiskers was never stressed or nervous because we never left he favorite room. Thank you Lap of Love and Dr. Shannon for helping me in a very sad time."Deedee NapolielloColts Neck, New JerseyNovember 19, 2018
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kim Bruce, DVM, CVA"This was one of the hardest decisions we've ever had to make and Dr. Kim Bruce helped us with tenderness and a true caring for us and for the comfort of our little Roxie."Robb Linnemann-SilverbregAurora, ColoradoNovember 19, 2018
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Toby Goldman, DVM"Thank you Dr. Toby for being so kind and patient. We couldn’t have asked for a better doctor to help our Roxie Girl cross over."Shay SmithLas Vegas, NevadaNovember 18, 2018Roxie's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Heather Manfredi, DVM"I had two sibling Daschund mixes who were 13 years old. Unfortunately, they both developed severe health problems and we needed to let them go within a few months of each other. Dr. Heather was there to help both of my beloved pets to move on in the comfort of the only home they ever knew. I could not have asked for a more compassionate and caring person to be there with me during this incredibly difficult time. Dr. Heather was able to reassure me that we were doing the right thing and that both, Sam and Cody, would be at peace. Having Dr. Heather come to my house and allow my pets to be somewhere where I knew for sure they felt safe and loved when the time came really made the whole process less agonizing. I knew when she left that my pets were both at peace and had truly been able to leave this world knowing how much they were loved. Thank you for all you do to help families in their times of need."Christine RosadoShirley, NYNovember 18, 2018
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Casey Choate, DVM"This was such a hard decision to make to put our dog to sleep. Dr. Casey was wonderful! She was so understanding and patient with us. She let us take our time to say goodbye. She made this experience a lot easier on all of us. I would definitely recommend this wonderful company to anyone that has to make this decision.

Thank you for helping us through this horrible time.

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kristine Campanelli, DVM"We can't thank Dr. Kristine enough for the way she handled our Illy Cafe's passing. She explained everything, was absolutely patient, loving, caring, gentle and very compassionate thru the entire process. Which made it a bit easier for both my husband and myself. God Bless Lap of Love for what they do. We don't know what we would have done without them. Being that our Illy was a 110 lb. Neapolitan Mastiff and we couldn't move him he was paralyzed from the waist down, and couldn't get him to our vet. They were the ones to recommend Lap of Love to us, and we will forever be grateful to them. Thank you again Dr. Kristine and Lap of Love for helping us get through this difficult time."Anita PomponioLake Ronkonkoma, NYNovember 18, 2018
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dawnetta Woodruff, DVM"Lap of Love. They are truly compassionate and understanding. These people are amazing, especially when I was overwhelmed with emotions and not sure how to proceed. The one thing, maybe the only thing, I could be sure of was that I didn't want my dog (family member) to suffer. And if possible to be in familiar, comfortable surroundings, and surrounded by the family. Furry and two legged. Lap of Love gave them a comfortable and dignified death. I don't know how they do it. But we are all so fortunate that they do."Harold KellermanEllisville, MissouriNovember 18, 2018
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Anna Champagne, DVM"Dr. Anna Champagne visited my home twice to meet and work with both of my Shih Tzus who have/had cancer. She was kind and compassionate and i knew she would be the one to request for the final house call. She came out to assist with Rita’s transition yesterday. She is an angel. Thank you so much."Karen CapizziTampa/Sarasota, FloridaNovember 18, 2018Rita's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Lori Braun, DVM"Dr. Lori was recommended by a friend who used her a few weeks prior. Dr. Lori made Roxi's last night peaceful and special. She explained everything and gave us time to grieve with Roxi. I am so glad I used her and would definitely recommend."Darik GriffithSalem, OregonNovember 18, 2018
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Allie Prokop, DVM"Dr. Allie was the epitome of expertise, patience, kindness and caring. She is obviously gifted and loves what she does. Saying goodbye to Peta, like all goodbyes to dear fur companions, was heartbreaking but was truly the sweetest, most thoughtful end of a beloved cat I have ever experienced. Thank you, Dr. Allie <3"Judy LoestKnoxville, TennesseeNovember 18, 2018Peta's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Leann Sargeant, DVM"Dr. Leann Sargeant was wonderful. She took the time to talk, explain, answer questions, provide advice, and assist in becoming confident in a very difficult decision. Dr. Leann has a warm and easy manner that puts both people and pets at ease. My dog, Riga, has never accepted new people quickly, but she took to Dr. Leann the moment she walked through the front door. I was so grateful that Riga's end was so peaceful and calm; it was the last thing I could do for my old friend. Dr. Leann made it happen for us. Thank you so much."Kathy SivbaSan Diego, CaliforniaNovember 17, 2018Riga's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jordy Merrifield, DVM"Dr. Merrifield was amazing. Having never gone through this I wasn’t sure what to expect fully but she was there every step of the way informing me of the process as it took place. Not only were my dogs comfortable but so was I. I truly appreciated her delicacy and sensitivity during a really tough emotional time for me and my boys."Derik HeiserQueen Creek, ArizonaNovember 17, 2018Tyson And Rellik's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Carrie Roberts, DVM"Making the decision to put your pet to sleep is one of the hardest one you will ever make, but when that time comes, there is only one way. We used Lap of Love. They came to our home with so much respect for our Toby and for us. We were able to let him pass at home peacefully in my arms They put him in warm blankets on a stretcher and put him in their car. We are having him cremated and his ashes returned. If you ever are faced with that decision, you need to use Lap of Love. I wouldn't change the process or these amazing people!"Terri DarmonLAKE SAINT LOUIS, MissouriNovember 17, 2018Toby's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kendra Healy, DVM"Having to say goodbye to a fur-baby is a terrible thing. Being able to do it on your on terms in your own home makes things tolerable; Not just for yourself but for your fur-baby. There was no anxiety, no panic going to the vet's office, no fright. It was most important for me to have my cat's last day be anxiety free and comfortable. Having Dr. Kendra come to the house provided her that. I asked Dr. Kendra to make things quick to minimize anxiety and she did just that. She was wonderful throughout, kind, gentle, and compassionate. My only advice is if you think it's time, it probably is; you know your fur baby better than anyone. Having someone come to you home is the only way I would recommend euthanasia. It truly allows comfort for your pet, privacy, and allows for a peaceful good bye. I can't thank Dr. Kendra enough for making things peaceful for my beautiful cat."Jennifer BondWinchester, KentuckyNovember 17, 2018

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Lori Braun, DVM"Over the years we have said good bye to many greyhounds, we are now close to 40 that have gone to the Rainbow Bridge. My partner and I believe that death is just part of the journey and we have always called it a celebration.

Being able to do this at home is both a blessing to us and our dogs. Having Dr. Lori come to the house brought some joy to a very sad day for us. Mickey was comfortable and for the first time in any of our dogs life, he enjoyed his chocolate brownie bites until he was just too sleepy to eat anymore.

Dr. Lori was so kind and compassionate. As my partner and I talked in the evening after Mickey was gone, we talked about how beautiful this was for him. We've always believed in quality of life over quantity and as each day passed this last week we would ask each other if it was time. We thought we might be able to get another day or week, but Mickey was just going down hill all too quickly.

When I told Dr. Lori how quickly he had deteriorated, she was able to describe what was happening in the most beautiful words, words that will stay with me for the rest of my life.

It was a very sad day for us and at the same time, it was beautiful and peaceful, almost joyful. Mickey is no doubt racing across the skies pain free.

Dr. Lori's kindness and compassion was nothing short of amazing.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Laura Porta, DVM"Dr. Laura Porta was the perfect choice for our Reba. She was caring, compassionate and calming. She treated Reba with respect and dignity and took time to be sure Reba was at ease and comfortable. The choice, decision and process of euthanasia is so emotional. Dr. Laura gave me reassurance and peace. I am so thankful that I called Lap of Love and found Dr. Laura."Nancy YalonenAnn Arbor, MichiganNovember 16, 2018
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jessica Wilbourne, DVM"We want to thank Dr. Jessica for being so warm, kind and caring when it came time to let our sweet Indy go. She let us take our time and treated Indy with compassion, dignity and kindness. We had a beautiful ceremony for Indy outside at sunset with flowers, pictures and candles and even the fire pit. It was truly a beautiful send off for our special Indy girl. It was a difficult decision to make after 16 years of having her to love, but we knew she was tired and was ready to be set free. Indy has her angel wings and I know she is with her many dog and cat friends she has made over the years running free with no fences holding her back. I highly recommend Lap of Love to anyone who has to make such a difficult decision."Bernadette GoydishNewtown, PennsylvaniaNovember 16, 2018
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Hannah Curtis, DVM"Dr. Hannah was so helpful. This was a heartbreaking decision for our family to say goodbye to our Lily. This was the first time that we had to make the decision to euthanize and Dr. Hannah walked us through everything and seemed to grieve with us. She was understanding and gentle and so compassionate. I am so thankful we chose Lap of Love and that Dr. Hannah came to our home. We would not have wanted it any other way. This is the only way we would want to say goodbye to any of our family pets in the future. Thank you, Dr. Hannah, for being so kind and warm to us...it is so appreciated."Shannon, Tony & Dylan Coleson-KollmorganLake Forest, CaliforniaNovember 16, 2018Lily's Pet Memorial
