Helping Families Honor the Lives Of Those They Love
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kim Bruce"The overall experience with Lap of Love was exceptional.

We knew we needed to have in home services. The stress of taking the dogs out was too much for them. Kim was wonderful. This experience was difficult but much easier than past experiences. I am so glad this is an option in our community."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Liz Myers"The time had come that we had been dreading. Our 4th time in 30 years having to say goodbye to our fury children. Experience and time never makes it easier.
Bobby, our 16 year old Border Collie let us know through his eyes and actions, it was time. We called Lap Of Love and in between the tears, made arrangements for Dr. Liz to come in a short few hours.
Dr. Liz exuded perfect grace & compassion with a beautiful tenderness. It takes a special person to do such a job that brings both great sadness & relief at the same time.
Plain & simply! We would not have changed a thing about our experience! The peace and comfort of the experience of being at home was immeasurable!
Thank you Dr. Liz"

Dr. Aspen’s empathic, competent and gentle support during the initial hospice assessment and eventual euthanasia enabled Bodhi and me to enjoy quality time together during her final months.
I will be forever thankful to Lap of Love for providing a dignified farewell for my beautiful girl in the home she loved. 💖"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Caroline Kiert"Where do I begin....if you have to make the decision to help your fur baby cross the rainbow bridge, I hope you choose Lap of Love. We had to say goodbye to one of our fur babies..Max. We have/had two dogs, brother and sister. We got them when our girls were little. The 4 of them grew up together. So saying goodbye was extremely hard for our daughters. That being said...Dr. Caroline came and made Max's passing easier on him and us. She is the most compassionate and caring person. She comforted us and took care of Max like he was hers. She asked us questions about him, wanted to hear a story or two. We laughed and cried. She made Max comfortable and explained everything that she would be doing. Gave us time to say goodby. I know how hard it is to say goodbye, but if the time has come for your fur baby, please let Lap of Love help...the experience was worth it. We will miss Max so very much but we are so very thankful for Dr. Caroline ❤"Rhonda PetrieElk GroveFebruary 19, 2020
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"I can't begin to tell you how grateful we were to have Dr. Brad and the Lap of Loves's kind and compassionate services for our dog China. Let me begin by giving you a background on my baby girl. China was a full bred Bull Terrier feisty and loyal just as bull terriers are. She was the runt of the litter when we got her and the last to be taken away from her parents and honestly we almost passed on her. What a mistake that would have been. We brought her home to our male bull terrier Chino who was a year old at that time he needed a companion and so that's where it all began. 2 liters of pups -8 pups each liter she was such a good mommy and her pups were all healthy and beauties. Unfortunately my male passed at age 12 but China remained with us until 17. Yes she almost made her 17th birthday just shy a few days even Dr.Brad was amazed. She was so loyal to us that she held on with all she had but we began to see that her health was deteriorating fast. Blind weight loss and getting weaker everyday. In my heart I knew it was time but I couldn't bare to give up on her since she never did give up on us. The final days were heartbreaking and I made the call to Lap of Love that forever changed my outlook on making the decision to let her go.. I called and spoke to the staff who were so kind, compassionate and just amazing who assured me that they would be with us every step of the way. Dr Brad arrived at my house on a Sunday and got us through the most difficult day. The compassion that you all demonstrate to not just the animal but to the grieving families is so amazing. You all are angels and I'm forever indebted. Thank you Dr. Brad for being so patient and kind that day We appreciate you so much. Happy heavenly birthday China. We miss you. Give Chino a kiss for us. ❤️"Dana/ Jose GonzalezPhiladelphiaFebruary 19, 2020
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Mandi Beckmann"How do we thank and commend Dr. Beckmann adequately? How can we describe fully her professionality, her gentle, caring ways? Dr. Beckmann took "professionality" to another level of integrity and decency and compassion, far beyond any call of duty. Every gesture, every chosen word soothed and comforted and provided just what we needed. Thank you. If gratitude is heaven itself---as the poet William Blake once wrote---then our pup is in heaven and is as grateful to you as we are."Douglas BrooksBristolFebruary 19, 2020Mabel's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kimberly Carper"When the time came for us to say goodbye to our precious Max, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. First, Max hadn’t been able to walk far that morning, but when we opened the door for Dr. Carper, Max got up and met her in the entrance. I believe he was ready to cross the rainbow bridge and he knew she was there to help him do it. Although, it was still so heartbreaking, Dr. Kimberly Carper helped us get through it, too. She is so understanding and absolutely wonderful. As we get close to the end for our other sweet dog, Tilly, I am growing sad, but know that if Dr. Carper is here to help Tilly, we will once again be grateful."Anne NormanAustinFebruary 18, 2020

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Lauren Peek, DVM"Dr. Peek was amazing in the way she handled our Sushi. She was very empathic, patient, and made the process a peaceful and loving one. Dr. Peek played a huge role in helping us process our grief and treated Sushi with dignity and respect and we are so grateful that she walked us through this difficult process. Sushi means so much to us and it was so important to have someone treat the situation with so much care. Thank you so much Dr. Peek for helping us through everything and taking such great care of our Sushi.

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dana Lewis"The whole process with Lap of Love was incredible and in the end quite beautiful.

I googled "pet hospice" and within minutes was connected with care coordinator Melanie who shared a very useful page on their website about how to know when it was time. After reading thru it I realized that my sweet girl had been trying to tell me for quite awhile that she was struggling. But, because she remained cheerful, I allowed myself to ignore everything.

I am very grateful to Lap of Love for the guidance and I greatly appreciated the kindness and professionalism of Dr. Dana. She provided gentle, loving care during the whole process and in the days that followed with a card and email. "Extraordinary" is the best word to describe it."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Mary Devlin"Thank you to Dr. Mary and Lap of Love for allowing us for saying goodbye to Sheba. Dr. Mary was gentle and so caring she gave me all the time I needed. I couldn't have asked for a more peaceful way for Sheba to leave this world. It was a respectful way to say goodbye to our companion. I wish I knew about Lap of Love when I had to say goodbye to my other furry friends I definitely would've use them instead of having to say goodbye in such a demeaning way laying on a cold table.
Sheba meant the world to me and my family and having her pass in the comfort of the home Sheba has known for 10 plus years was very personal and private. I would definitely reccomend Lap of Love for their compassion and love of animals.

RIP Sheba

Dr. Miller provided the utmost care to my animals. She explained every step of the way what she was doing and what to expect. She showed my family and I the highest level of compassion. She made an extremely difficult situation bearable. I couldn't have asked any more if her."heather heyburnoceansideFebruary 18, 2020

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Melinda Glavin"Dr. Melinda was kind, loving, gentle and understanding from the time I spoke with her over the phone to the end of my Cameron's earthly life. It was a very stressful time for my family and Dr. Melinda left us with a sense of knowing that we made the right decision for our beloved Cameron as he was in too much pain and to have him suffering was simply inhumane. Lord knows I wanted to be selfish and keep him despite his suffering."Liana RoadcloudYeadonFebruary 18, 2020Cameron's Pet Memorial
