Helping Families Honor the Lives Of Those They Love
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Rachel Klickman"Dr. Rachel was the most amazing person to have at one of the hardest moments in life. Everything about her demeanor, her words, her energy was exactly what our family needed. I felt as if she were the angel taking him home . Words cannot thank her enough for the peace she gave our family in those last moments. Thank you Dr. Rachel with all our hearts !"Amy BrownHighlandSeptember 22, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sue Mowatt"Dr. Sue was nothing short of outstanding; she was kind, caring, never rushed, and she was so understanding when she finally said, "Your baby is at peace," and I completely broke down into sobs more violent than I ever though my body was capable of producing. We really felt like she understood our pain, and I was so grateful that she made me feel comfortable leaving Max's body with her as she took him to the crematorium. Like I could never thank Max adequately for everything he did for me, I don't think I could ever thank Dr. Sue enough for shepherding us through the process of letting him go. The world is a better place with people like her in it."Courtney LeeSacramentoSeptember 21, 2019Max's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Hannah Moloney"Dr Hannah was the most compassionate and gentle veterinarian we had ever met. We are grateful for her professionalism. Coming to our home and allowing our precious baby the dignity he so deserved in his last moments on earth.
This was the hardest decision to ever be made but we couldn't ask for better service and kindness.

Thank you Dr Hannah"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Heather Manfredi"For 14+ years Nike was always at the door to greet us when we got home. Every warm weekend morning Nike sat with us on our front porch enjoying the sun. When we knew it was her time, we chose to be there with her and sit on the porch together one last time. While it was emotionally hard for us, Dr Manfredi helped make Nike’s passing as peaceful and tranquil as we could have possibly hoped. Dr Manfredi took the time to get to know our old girl, and her compassion was profound, even sitting on the porch next to Nike and comforting us all. Nike’s passing has left a Hugh empty space in our hearts. It wasn’t and never should be an easy decision, but it was the right one. Dr Manfredi, we thank you for your efforts."Mike RinghauserMiddle IslandSeptember 21, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Allison Bergin"I am so thankful for Lap of Love and Dr. Allison for providing such a peaceful and calm end of life. Our sweet Butler was happiest at home and we knew that we wanted to let him go in the place where he felt most comfortable. Butler had no anxiety and passed with dignity and grace. My husband and I felt more relief than sadness during and after because we knew that we had given him the gift of no more suffering. Thank you again for everything you do to give our family members the ending that they deserve."Taylor CowellMilwaukeeSeptember 21, 2019

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Lindsey Wittmeyer"Dr. Lindsey was, in a word, AMAZING. You can feel the love and respect she has for animals the moment you meet her. She was so kind and compassionate with our family as we said good-bye to our sweet Josie after having Josie with us for 17 years. She explained everything to us and answered our questions. She was tender in touch and in tone as she worked with us and our sweet pup. We will be forever grateful to Dr. Lindsey for making our last moments so quiet, so peaceful, so loving, and so right. We cannot recommend enough this approach for saying one of the hardest good byes that life brings. Thank you, Dr. Lindsey!

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Elyse Persico"My baby girl Egypt got her angel wings September 13, 2019. The day before Egypt left us my husband and I didn't know what we going to do. Our girl was diagnosed with bone cancer. She was on several medications. Her cancer progressed so fast we were beyond heart broken to see our baby in so much pain. We made the decision at 7am on September 13, 2019. Reviews online took me to Laps of Love. I called at 7:30 that morning. They were so understanding and the receptionist and I even had a cry together over the phone. She told me everything about what they do and believe in. There was no need to keep looking, this place was the one. It's not likely to have the Vet come out the same day but she told me Dr Elyse had no problem arranging her schedule. Dr. Elyse came out at 1:00pm that day, the same time I was given over the phone. Dr. Elyse had called me before coming over to ask if we needed anything and to make sure Egypt was comfortable. Our girl fell in love with Dr. Elyse. We were told every step of the way what was going to happen and what to expect. Egypt never felt pain. She laid her head in my lap the whole time. With a piece of chocolate cake being her last meal Dr. Elyse administered her pain free injections and my baby girl walked over the rainbow bridge. I cannot express how thankful I am to Laps of Love and especially Dr. Elyse. She was perfect and so genuine. Thank you to these wonderful people for helping us say goodbye to the best friend I could ever have. We have two other dogs and three cats. And best believe if we come across this same decision in the future, we will be calling Laps of Love and requesting Dr. Elyse."Kimberly WebberVIRGINIA BEACHSeptember 21, 2019

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Elyse Persico"We can’t say enough about what it meant to us to help Vienna over the rainbow bridge in her own home and her own safe space. Dr. Elyse was very understanding and compassionate. She thoroughly answered any questions and made sure we understood the entire process. She was 100% prepared for anything, even though the procedure went as planned. We wouldn’t have had it any other way, and when the time comes (hopefully waaaay in the future), we will definitely use Lap of Love. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts."John and Genn CairnsNorfolk, VASeptember 21, 2019

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Heather Manfredi"We had the good fortune of a friend recommending Lap of Love to us and it was the best decision we could have made. My mother is an elderly women and the proud adopted mom of an American Bulldog "Ruppie" since its owner, my younger brother moved out. Ruppie had been struggling with cancer and had withered away to a shell of what he used to be. My mom was struggling with the idea that it was time for him to be at peace because he still had a strong appetite and lots of life left in his eyes and in his still powerful tail. Finally this week Ruppie's eyes told a different story and we knew it was time to say good bye. We called Lap of Love and Dr. Heather Manfredi came to the house as promised. Ruppie was having a good day although he was emaciated and my mom was struggling with the idea of letting him go. Dr. Heather came into the house with a soothing voice and confident knowledge that it was indeed time. Ruppie had always been a dominating personality and he was still letting us know he was in charge. Dr. Heather gave Ruppie the time and space to become comfortable with her in the house and put my mom to ease just chatting about what life must have been like with Ruppie around. We fed him treats and joked about how he would always meet me at the door when visiting and stare at me with a very unfriendly look until I would offer him a snack. When it was time to give Ruppie peace Dr Heather did in in such a caring dignified way my mom just had to tell her that she was amazing and how much easier she was making it for her. When Ruppie was gone Dr. Heather gave him a loving kiss on the head and allowed us time to say good bye. He was carefully laid on a stretcher and wrapped in a fuzzy comfortable blanket with just his head sticking out. It was like he was quietly sleeping with no view of how his body had been broken down by the disease. We carried him out to the car and had 1 more time to say goodbye. Dr. Heather hugged my mom and tenderly told her she had done the right thing. Ruppie was at peace and through what was a terribly sad and difficult experience so was my mom. Dr Heather spent an entire hour with us as my mom let Ruppie go we are forever thankful for the care she showed! Thank You Lap of Love, Dr. Heather Manfredi was AMAZING!"Craig PriemerWest SayvilleSeptember 20, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kara Fuchs"I cannot say enough about Dr. Fuchs and how caring, kind and professional she was during an incredibly heartbreaking time for our family . We knew we wanted to have our sweet boy pass surrounded by the people who loved him and the place he loved. Hopefully we will not have to use this service in the near future but if we had to, we would not hesitate to use it."Julie RibarMinneapolisSeptember 20, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kim Bruce"My husband and I made the heart wrenching decision to say goodbye to our Bichon Frise, Comet, after 12 years with him. He was a devoted and loyal companion who deserved only the best in his final moments. We certainly got that with Dr. Kim Bruce. She has a kind, compassionate way about her that immediately put us at ease with the process. It was very simple and swift and Comet drifted away in total peace. Dr. Kim explained the process step by step and gave us some private moments with Comet to say our final goodbye. This is the ONLY way to spend your pet's final moments- in their home where there is no fear or stress for them. I highly recommend Lap of Love and Dr. Kim to anyone who is going through this process with their beloved family member. Thank you Dr. Kim."beth wilhelmdenverSeptember 20, 2019

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Lauren Peek, DVM"We wanted to thank Lap of Love and especially Dr. Lauren for helping us make the passage to Heaven for our beloved dalmatian, Snoopy, so peaceful and dignified. Dr. Lauren made us feel at ease that we made the right decision. She did not rush myself or my husband so we could process what was happening for our fur baby who was part of our lives for 10 years. A heartfelt thank you does not seem enough , but know that you made our family feel cared for. She even gave advice how to handle the grief our other 2 fur babies by suggesting they come say goodbye after he went to his final sleep. We truly feel that gave them closure. May God bless you Dr. Lauren and your company."Sharon BerkmanOrlandoSeptember 20, 2019

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sarah Tangeman"Letting our boy George go was so difficult. Dr. Sarah was kind, compassionate, and made one of the hardest days of our lives bearable. Without her loving words, professional manner and heartfelt passion for making him comfortable, we would have been unable to stand the pain of saying goodbye to our special family member.
The gift of George leaving us in his home was so special to us. He was surrounded by the people he loved, with his things, in a stress-free environment.
Thank you Dr. Sarah for everything you did to make George's last moments as peaceful as possible...."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Keri Morgan"We wish to thank Dr. Morgan for her assistance in helping us get through the difficult day.
Lap of Love provided a much better way of allowing our pet Cuda to be at home instead of her anxiousness
going to the veterinary clinics. It was also a great deal better for us to be at home for the last moments.
Dr. Morgan did well in putting Cuda at ease, and showed her own gentle kindness.

Thank you Dr. Morgan for the loving testimonial it captured the beautiful memories that were talked about with Cuda."
