Helping Families Honor the Lives Of Those They Love
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Mandi Beckmann"Mandi just helped put our baby boy to rest a couple of hours ago, and I wanted to write this while I still had lots of emotion. Mandi is truly gifted in her ability to assist families and our precious fur babies find peace. From the start she was very calm, professional and empathetic. She explained everything and was very structured in her work. Most importantly she was very gentle and loving to our dog, as if she knew him for years. Mandi made a very hard day better because we can be at ease knowing we did the best for our boy. I would recommend in-home euthanasia with Dr Mandi to anyone. Thanks again for making this situation as peaceful as possible."Samantha Bonelli-PaganoRochesterDecember 26, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Heather Manfredi"Saying goodbye to a huge part of your family... a piece of your heart... is never easy. Dr Heather came... on Christmas Eve no less... and helped make the transition so much less stressful for us, and especially for my Zoey. Her examination of my dog, along with spending the time to discuss and explain her findings, helped us to be sure we were doing the right thing because... let's be honest... we always wish for 1 more day (month, year). Its an extremely hard decision to make. Every detail with Lap of Love was handled with empathy and care."Lorraine DiLorenzoLindenhurstDecember 26, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Christina Guillory"Even though we were not able to go with Lap of Love for our dog on Christmas eve, Dr Guillory was a tremendous help with recommendations and finding a final resting place for our Prince. Dr Guillory is such a wonderful person. Thank you so much.

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Mary Devlin"On December 23rd, Dr. Mary came to our home to assist in the passing of our beloved Maisy. When she arrived, we were surrounding Maisy on the floor, as she sat on her favorite pillow. Dr. Mary spoke in calm tones to us to explain the process. She never asked us to move, but rather joined us on the floor and stroked Maisy's back. We showed her pictures of Maisy and told her stories and she understood our pain and laughed along with us as we shared happy memories. Maisy was always scared of the vet's office and would shake the entire way there and we would have to hold her for her visits. We did not want her last moments on earth to be filled with anxiety and fear. Instead, she crossed over surrounded by her family, in the place she loved. Dr. Mary gave us all hugs and her condolences. We could not have been more satisfied with the experience."Phyllis KiznerPeabodyDecember 25, 2019Maisy's Pet Memorial

The amount of gentle care she gave my husband and I as well as our pet we were having to say goodbye to was absolutely beautiful. From the way she spoke to the gentle touches she gave us and our pet was so truly appreciated. She explained everything that was happening and guided us the whole way with such grace and ease. We will never be able to thank her enough. I also wanted to thank the person that answered the phone when I called to make the dreaded appointment. They were sweet and understanding. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sandra Simko"I was so relieved to hear about Lap of Love. I knew I didn't want to say goodbye to my boy in a scary, cold, clinical place - as kind as the staff at my local emergency vet are. I am so grateful I had those last days at home with Indy - spoiling him with love and special treats. Dr. Sandra was so compassionate. She explained everything to me and made sure I could hold my baby until he was gone. She made one of the worst days of my life more bearable and I will always be so grateful for her and for Lap of Love."Elizabeth GreenHobokenDecember 25, 2019Indy's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Mary Devlin"As unfortunate as the circumstances were in meeting Dr. Mary, we are so grateful to not only how caring she was with Gigi but how comforting she was to us throughout the process. Dr. Mary made sure to explain what would be happening, how Gigi will feel, and allowed us the time we needed to help Gigi cross the rainbow bridge. The follow-up email, sympathy card, and the paw print are all small but significant details that truly touched our hearts. We received Gigi's ashes a few days ago and the box that they came in is so beautiful, I was blown away. As hard as this decision was, I could not be happier that with the help of Dr. Mary and Lap of Love we were able to help Gigi go peacefully, relaxed, and in her home where she was loved so much. Thank you Dr. Mary, there are not enough words to express how grateful we are for your kindness and compassion."Kristina BelangerEverettDecember 24, 2019

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Lindsey Wittmeyer"It is hard to put into words just how thankful we are that we found Lap of Love and Dr. Lindsey. Dr. Lindsey was so very caring and comforting for us and for our dog, Kirby. She took time to get to know us and Kirby and was so gentle and caring. She explained everything and what we should expect. Kirby was so comfortables-snuggled in his bed with his blankie and he went to sleep so peacefully, as I laid next to him and told him how much we loved him and what a good boy he was, that I didn't even know he was gone. Dr. Lindsey also has emailed us as follow up to make sure we are okay and to remind us of the grief services that Lap of Love offers. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Lindsey and Lap of Love to anyone who must say good-bye to a beloved pet."Cindy DukeOverland ParkDecember 23, 2019Kirby's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Mary Devlin"Dr Mary helped my wife and me through one of the most difficult processes we could go through. She was caring, informative and allowed us to manage the process according to our needs. We we're never rushed in saying goodbye. I can't imagine having anyone else take care of helping my beloved boy out of his pain. I thank her for helping my wife and me through this difficult journey. She made the terrible more bearable and for that I am forever in her debt."MedfordDecember 23, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kristine Campanelli"The level of compassion that every single person I interacted with showed me was absolutely incredible and it certainly made the whole process easier for both me and my cat. It was a horrible day for me and it was made just a little less so by dealing with people who actually care. Everyone went out of their way to take time with me, whether it was on the phone or when they actually came to put my cat to sleep. I don't think you get that level of care when you go to a vet's office. The last thing I wanted was for my cat's last hours to be spent stressed and upset in a vet's office in unfamiliar/unpleasant surroundings and with people and animals she didn't know. She got to die on her blanket in my arms, in her house. I'm so glad this organization and these people exist. Thank you for everything."Kathy SchwagerYaphankDecember 23, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sarah Ryan, DVM"Dr. Sarah was AMAZING!

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Elizabeth Hilton"Dr. Liz was very nice and supportive to be with on that
sad day. We talked about her dog that she missed and talked
about our dog which helped us. She ensured me that we were
doing the right thing by our Pikel and that she would have done
the same. It was appropriate to be home. Thank You so much."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kendra Healy"I really wish I wasn't writing this because that means my beloved schnauzer, Mo Mo is gone. However, I am writing so that others who might be questioning their options know that this is the absolute BEST choice you can make. Keeping your pet in your their home for this is the right thing to do. For something that feels so awful and foreign, I don't think it could have been done in a more respectful manner. Dr. Healy is a very compassionate person. Everything was able to be done with my dog in my lap and he was treated so respectfully once he was gone. She placed him in a cushioned basket and wrapped him in a blanket. That is my last image of him and it was one of peace. While these next few days will continue to be very hard my husband and I are very happy with our decision to call Dr. Healy. You might pay a little more vs going to your vet but believe me when I say it is beyond worth it. I am very grateful for Dr. Healy and this service."Morgan TiptonLexingtonDecember 22, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Becky Frank"Lap of Love is appropriately named. They came to me at the end of a long series of physical struggle Yona endured. He was in a lot of pain tho that day he was stoic. He was completely relaxed with the doctor and I’d swear he knew exactly what was coming but was not the least stressed. He’d just been diagnosed with his 5th auto immune disorder and a new wave of SLO ((made his body reject his nails in a painful process of losing them). The meds needed to stop the impact of the incurable disorders was again gonna run through his body like a freight train. He’d recovered twice but at a cost of 4-6 months recovery. He was so stoic but had gotten so weak and in so much pain. Lap of Love made the ability of facing off with the choice to release my boy from this ongoing struggle a more manageable concept to swallow. The fact that the doctor sat on the floor and spoke to my stately boy with all the love I feel for him honored his generous spirit. He clearly really liked her and readily allowed her to do what she needed to do. He left this plane peacefully with his head in my hands. He deserved a stress free departure. It was well worth the cost and then some. To round it out, they sent a warm greeting on the anniversary of his death. This is a conscientious organization that I will stand behind and recommend to anyone in need. One never hopes to need this option but standard vet offices, even when they are caring, have a procedure that I will never put any dog thru again. That wrestle grip is the only thing that made my girl freak out when I took her there after a horrific cancer diagnosis. No explanation stopped him. It was an awful way for my sweet girl to leave after all she’d done. I’ll never do that again to any animal in my care. Lap of Love is the only way to walk through this together in a space your dog is safe and done with great sensitivity just as it should be."Diane CollinsPhiladelphiaDecember 22, 2019
