Lap of Love Veterinarian: Shannon Cabell"Dr. Cabell,

Thank you so much for your thoughtful email. Thank you even more for the wonderfully caring way you helped Henry ease his way across the rainbow bridge. It felt awful to me, but I could tell how peaceful he was, and that made me very happy. I have absolutely no idea how you get through each day seeing the pain in people as they say goodbye to beloved pets, but I am grateful that there are people like you in the world who have the strength and fortitude to help our babies find peace and comfort as they pass on.

I truly appreciate you reaching out to check in on me. I have been truly humbled by this experience and the caring of everyone who knows about Henry’s passing. Anyone who knows me knows that Henry was my best friend and companion for all but the first 4 months of his long life, so this loss is exceptionally hard to take, but has been made much easier by the caring of friends, family, and you as well.

Thank you again for being with us on Sunday."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Blaine Brennock"Dr. Blaine came to our home on his day off. I was hysterical when I called LapofLove. Butchie's kidneys were failing but he was doing really good. And then he had a seizure and it was heart breaking to see him suffer. Dr. Blaine was kind and understood our grief. He was patient with us not wanting to say goodbye. Dr. Blaine made Butchie's passing with dignity."JEANETTE SMITHBOCA RATONDecember 21, 2019Butchie's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Elizabeth Gill"I can not thank Lap of Love and Dr. Liz for helping my husband and I feel so comforted, supported as we decided to have our baby girl kloe cross the rainbow bridge. It was the hardest decision we have ever had to make. Our baby let us know she was ready. She was such a fighter, but she was ready. She beat cancer 6 years ago, extensive arthritis for years that was so bad she couldn't bend her knees and near the end could hardly go potty with out falling at times. But she still wanted to play, go to the beach. and had her spleen removed 2 years ago due to them finding a huge mass. She needed surgery right away or to put her down. They said 95% chance it was cancer and probably spread all over her body. We took that chance and it was not cancer. So in June they found a mass between her lung and heart. They gave her days possibly a few weeks. 6 months later we lost her. When Dr. Liz came to our house we told her what happened last night and in morning what kloe did. She said " she is ready, for her doing things that she never did was her letting us know she was tired of fighting. " Dr. Liz acted like she had always known Kloe, kloe gave her kisses and was being the wiggle butt she always was. She listened to our stories about kloe and did not rush us until we were ready. We wanted kloe to be on her ottoman that she always laid and sat waiting for our food. Dr. Liz said "where ever we wanted her to be was fine with her. When she gave our baby the sedative, our baby fell asleep and snorted like she always did. She was so comfortable and relaxed. Dr. Liz let us decide when we were ready and said our last goodbyes. My husband carried our baby to Dr. Liz's vehicle where she had blankets. Which happened to be pink and purple. My favorite colors and the colors kloe always wore. She even put a pillow under her head. When Dr. Liz was getting ready to leave she hugged us both. She made a very difficult time for us feel comforted and we don't feel guilty for making this choice. It was so peaceful we never thought we would be so cared for by a stranger. I picked up our baby girl today at our vets office. It was all in a purple gift bag, her box is wrapped in purple also. It could be something Dr. Liz requested or mentioned, or just a coincidence doesn't matter it made our day. I'm waiting for my husband to come home so we can open together. Dr. Liz sent an email to see how we were doing and said if we needed to talk she is here with us. The pamphlet we were given is amazing. Support group information, children's and adult books to read to help you, explains the rainbow bridge and why they do what they do. I never thought a decision like this would be so guilty free, peaceful and have a stranger make us feel so comforted as if she has known us and our baby girl. I could keep going on and on."Lisa KnauftOrlandoDecember 20, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Amy Czarnecki"Dr. Amy was simply wonderful and so very caring to our pet and our entire family. At a very difficult time she brought us all peace, comfort and compassion, every step of the way."Dave JacksonAvonDecember 20, 2019Patty's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Megan Wehrwein"After making the life wrenching decision to put our dog Winston down, I knew he deserved more than being brought to the cold and scary vets office to be put to peace. I came in contact with 2 separate people with Laps of Love, Jennifer, the girl who called to set up our appointment and Dr Megan. Jennifer was extremely compassionate over the phone with I greatly appreciated. Dr. Megan was also wonderful. Winston usually had an issue with new people but not with Dr. Megan..he barked once and then he was completely fine. Totally out of his character. We chose to have our final moments with Winston outside in the sun on his favorite blanket. Again, he was totally relaxed and all he wanted was a belly rub. Dr. Megan was extremely sensitive to our feelings. Winston felt no stress or pain and went peacefully with his favorite blanket and his family by his side. I thank Lap of Love for making this process more comfortable for everyone envolved."Leslie GreenLutzDecember 20, 2019

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Heather Manfredi"Dr. Heather was so kind and compassionate at a very difficult time for myself and my husband. Dr. Heather’s spiritual concept of our beloved cat Lucky earning his angel wings and crossing the rainbow bridge was truly comforting to both of us. Dr. Heather’s demeanor and knowledge enabled us to fully understand Lucky’s grave condition and his suffering. We would highly recommend her to anyone in need. She also followed up with a beautiful email and card to us that made us know how compassionate she is."Linda CaprarielloMassapequaDecember 20, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Christina Scudder"I'm very grateful for the service Lap of Love provided. Cleo's final moments were very peaceful, in a familiar setting, in one of her favorite spots. Dr. Scudder was very kind, patient, understanding and professional. She took great care with Cleo and helped me through the process."Aaron NottinghamSAINT LOUISDecember 20, 2019Cleo's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Rachel Burns"Dr. Rachel made this sad day so much easier for us and our cat. She was so thoughtful and caring. We were so happy to allow our cat to pass peacefully at home instead of having to travel to a veterinary clinic. I strongly recommend Dr. Rachel and give her the highest praise for her work."Dawn ZMarlboroughDecember 19, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Christina Howard"We had to say goodbye to our beloved yellow lab, Zoey, yesterday. Dr. Christina was so kind and compassionate. She helped make a very difficult decision and process less painful and very peaceful. On the recommendation of the receptionist (was it Erin? She was amazing!) I had some of Zoey's special toys, a blanket, candles, some quotes and soft music playing. I was able to snuggle with Zoey throughout the process and felt comfortable crying and talking to Zoey as she left this life. Dr. Christina quietly helped Zoey pass over the rainbow bridge. Thank you for the hugs, follow up email and true passion for helping us (and other families) through this difficult time."Shawn BurklandSeattleDecember 19, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Christina Scudder"Chris was AMAZING. In addition to Kane, we also have a 5 year old Doberman, D.O.G. who is a big giant needy baby. Chris was wonderful with both of our boys. She got down on the floor with them almost immediately to let them get to know her. She explained everything to us and let us have all the time we needed with Kane before and after he passed. She was very sweet and kind and I am so glad that she was the last new person that Kane met while he was here. I will never regret our decision to use Lap of Love. Thank you so much Dr. Chris for being the wonderful caring person you are. Although this situation is never easy, you made it much better."Tammy NapoliSt. LouisDecember 19, 2019Kane's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jeni Goedken"I agree with all of the 5 star reviews for Dr. Jeni Goedken, I would give her 10 stars if possible. Our 15 year old Golden, Momo, suddenly took a turn for the worse, and we knew it was time to say good-bye. We didn't want her to suffer and we wanted to do it in our family home. We tried in vain to find someone who would come to the house. It was around 4 p.m. when we starting calling around with no luck, all the vets said they would come the next day which didn't help.

Then we got a call from Dr. Jeni, what a heaven sent! She came that evening with her wonderful and soothing disposition. We were all upset and crying, she took her time and made sure that Momo was comfortable every step of the way. She gave us plenty of time to say good-bye to our sweet girl.

Dr. Jeni is a lovely and compassionate person, I can't say enough how much we appreciated her in our time of need. She is truly the best!
Thank you Dr Jeni!"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Rachel Burns"Last night in the comfort of our home, our six year old black and tan cocker spaniel, Cayden was given our final gift of love by Dr. Rachel Burns. He was diagnosed with a rare liver disease that was terminal. We didn't want Cayden to suffer and made the agonizing decision have him put to sleep.

Dr. Rachel was wonderful! She put all of us at ease and answered every question we had. Dr.Rachel explained the process to us and gave us all the time we needed to say our final goodbyes to Cayden. He went peacefully while being surrounded by all of us.

Tears are still flowing this morning but that's just a measure of how much Cayden was loved and what he meant to all of us!He will be missed and it will take some time to heal but Cayden is in a better place. He was what unconditional love looked like on four legs and a great companion! Cayden will always be a forever member of our family and we thank God that he created you for us!

Dr. Rachel is a very special person and helped us through this painful process. She was compassionate, caring and was very sensitive to the needs of our family, including those of Cayden's baby sister, Calleigh. She said that pets also mourn and made sure Calleigh was included in this experience. We are grateful to Dr. Rachel for her guidance and appreciate all that she did to help us through this very difficult time!

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Becky Frank"Dr. Becky was with us when Moose's sister passed over the rainbow bridge last year. We requested her when it was time for Moose to join her. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kristine Campanelli"Words can not express how amazing Dr. Kristine was! It is never easy to say goodbye but having someone so compassionate helps. After 12 years we knew it was time to let our pit bull rest peacefully and pain free. When Dr Kristine arrived my husband was running late from work. She patiently waited for him and gave him time to say his goodbyes. My 11 year old had questions and wasn’t sure if she wanted to be in room. Dr. Kristine answered all my daughters’s (and mine) questions. I have such a peace knowing my fur baby was surrounded by his family, in his living room, and laying on his favorite stuffed animal when it was time to cross the rainbow bridge."Jane ColonHolbrookDecember 19, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Carling Sitterley"We will never go without Lap of Love again. Dr. Carling was awesome with our Charlotte and my crying self. God Bless you for your compassion and what you do. It's so hard losing a pet but Lap of Love makes it a little easier."Darin KellerDoverDecember 19, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jennifer Bell"We will be forever grateful for the kindness and compassion of Dr. Jennifer Bell. Soxy was brought to us by her mother out of the woods years ago. While she lived with us, she was always a bit wild and we were not able to pick her up and handle her. I was worried about how she would respond to the presence of a stranger in the house. But Dr. Jennifer entered the house so quietly and calmly that Soxy was undisturbed by her presence. She gave us all the time we needed with her and was caring not only for Soxy but for us. We so appreciate Dr. Jennifer's ability to not make these last moments stressful for Soxy and for her compassion towards us."Kit SpahrSunburyDecember 19, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kristine Campanelli"The Conroy family was blessed to have Dr Kristine assist in our good Jake's transition. From the moment she exited her car I could feel her warmth already begin to help heal our family, more importantly Jake himself. After having been through each mode of loosing a family friend, this will now always be our choice if one ever need be made again. She brought so much ease and light to an otherwise dim situation in our lives that no words can express our true admiration for how Dr Kristine made us all comfortable! A true hero she is. There is no more appropriate name other than Laps of Love for these great people! Thank you all there so very much! Ryan & The Conroy family"Ryan ConroyWest islipDecember 19, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Lisa Rodin"I can not give enough praise about Lisa Rodin. She was the most caring ,giving and empathetic to me and my 11year old yellow lab "Sierra". She had told me that her first dog when she was about 2 was named Sierra, and her Sierra liked knocking her down, or playing with her at her toddler age. She took the time for me and my Sierra, spent more time with us both than any other person has. She gave me reassurance that I was making the right decision and reminded me that I was a good pet owner and did what I had to do for Sierra. Thank You Lisa for choosing to take my call. I will always remember you and will definitely recommend you if needed. Have a blessed christmas and Happy New Year."Colleen BrownNORMANDecember 19, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kendra Healy"Kendra,

We cannot thank you enough. When we realized it was near the end for our sweet Belle, we were panicked. We did not know where to turn or who to trust with such an important job. Then we were referred by Woodford County Animal Hospital to look into Lap of Love since we were interested in an in-home euthanasia service. We knew that we had very little time to make this decision as Belle’s health was declining quickly. When we called you, we were relieved to know that appointments could made with very short notice. The communication before and after the appointment was great and you kept us informed on when you would be arriving. You also gave us information on how we could possibly prepare for one of the hardest days of our lives. When you arrived at our home, you explained to us the procedure in detail and what to expect. For a family who had never had a in-home euthanasia service before, we were nervous about what to expect but you did an excellent job informing us and answering any questions we had. You were very sweet to our Belle Belle by giving her pets and loves. You were very gentle and gave her the utmost respect. You let us take our time and did not try to rush us with any step of the process. The lock of hair and paw print mold that was given to us was extra special and we really appreciated these features that will help us keep a piece of Belle close to us. Thank you for making such a difficult process go as smoothly as possible. We appreciate you and everything you do!"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Caroline Kiert"Dr. Caroline was exactly what all of us needed on the day my dog left us. She was gentle, understood and made space for our emotions, did not rush, and explained this difficult process in the most sensitive, yet honest way possible. It was a peaceful and meaningful moment. She treated our dog with dignity and care, and interacted gently with our other dog. I was so grateful for her professionalism at a time when we were so incredibly heartbroken. It was the very best way to handle a very difficult decision."Rachel MinnickSacramentoDecember 19, 2019Charlie's Pet Memorial
