Helping Families Honor the Lives Of Those They Love
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Heather Manfredi"Dr. Heather Manfredi was exceptional with me and my family. When Koda first felt ill I went to St. Francis animal hospital to have him looked at. The vet that saw him was Dr. Heather Manfredi. She told us that she worked at that animal hospital from time to time but she mainly works at hospice care for animals. When it was Koda’s time, I contacted Lap of Love which was recommended to me through a friend of mine. When I was told that Dr. Heather Manfredi would be at my home for Koda, I knew that the name sounded very familiar, and when I saw her I thought that this was one amazing coincidence. The same doctor saw my pet was going to be the same one helping him pass, and it was perfect. She greeted everyone with hugs and set everything nicely. She walked us through the process and made the event something beautiful and memorable. It was amazing and I can’t thank her enough."Caleb DrozRonkonkomaSeptember 17, 2019Koda 's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Will Basinger"As hard as it was to say goodbye to our baby girl Diamond, Dr. Will was an answered prayer. His compassion and empathy and overall care he showed to us truly made this a peaceful goodbye at home. We are so grateful for his help during such a sad time. We were terrified but he helped reassure us that we were doing the best thing for her. We just truly feel that God sent him to us to help and would absolutely recommend him and Lap of Love to other pet families who are facing the same difficult decision. Thank you Dr. Will Basinger!!!!! We won't ever forget you or what you did for us today."Rebecca ManleyWest ColumbiaSeptember 16, 2019

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kristen Miller"Yesterday was probably the most hardest day of my life. We had to say goodbye to my beloved cat Chelsea I loved her too much to see her suffer and die a horrible death. Dr Kristen Miller helped us through her passing. Dr Miller was very sweet and compassionate and made it easy for us to help with Chelsea's journey to the rainbow bridge. A swarm of dragonflies appeared outside my door moments before Chelsea was to pass on. I know many people do not believe in spiritual things but after seeing this I was convinced these where the angels to meet and bring her on her journey. As soon as Chelsea passed they were gone."Nancy BarcaLevittownSeptember 16, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jessica Spitzer"Jessica was perfect, she was professional, knowledgeable and caring. She made a very difficult time for us calming. I didn't know what to expect and she just made everything feel smooth.

We were able to say goodbye to our sweetheart in an ideal way, her whole family was there, we were all holding and petting her until her final breath.

Thank you for coming to our house and making this as peaceful as possible. We truly appreciate it."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Christina Scudder"Our baby girl, Trixie, was not quite 2 years old when her life ended after a long battle of chronic illness. I am a veterinarian and chose Lap of Love because of their reputation and ability to provide in-home services for our family. The service we received was beyond anything I could have imagined. From the caring, compassionate people listening to Trixie's story and helping to plan what was best for her, to the actual euthanasia...everyone was amazing. Dr. Chris Scudder came to our home and helped ease Trixie's pain and suffering in a calm, caring, compassionate, professional way. Trixie ate her favorite snacks, received a sedative, and relaxed while being snuggled until the end. I cannot say enough about Lap of Love and Dr. Chris Scudder. It was so nice to be able to rely on these wonderful people in such a time of turmoil."Mylissa & Matt Hites & KellySt. PetersSeptember 16, 2019Trixie's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kimberly Carper"My boyfriend, James and I honestly could not have done this without Lap of Love. From the second I called them on the phone, Ashley was so helpful and sympathetic. She was so sweet throughout the processes. Dr. Kimberly Carper is a ray of light. She came over once for a hospice visit and she was so sweet, down to earth and genuinely an amazing human. She came back 2 days to put our sweet Castle to sleep and her presence was soothing. We couldn't have gone through it without her. I can't thank her enough!"Jessica PericoAustinSeptember 16, 2019Castle's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Maggie Mottram"Dr Maggie is kind, sweet & loving. My initial call was with Jennifer Santiago. We agreed that no pet needs to live a few more weeks or even minutes in pain. Jennifer was very supportive. My sweet Cole was abandoned by his family in his senior years. He was PURE LOVE for 2 1/2 yrs. Dr Maggie shared her own story of losing a young dog, horrible.
The other mobile vets I called were twice as much as Dr Maggie. My vet was $225 less than Dr Maggie...at the office. I could NOT imagine loading my big dog into a car for euthanasia.
I have a 13.5 yr old dog & a new10+yr old dog w cancer. I will call Dr Maggie again. Every old, big I rescue needs me & her.
Thank you"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Regan Harp"I am so thankful for the kind, compassionate care of the person who took my call at Lap of Love and of Dr. Harp. He made one of the hardest things I have ever had to do a little easier by helping me know that I was making the right decision for my precious cat, Addicus. She was a member of our family for 18 years, and letting her go was almost impossible. Dr. Harp was so gentle with our sweet girl and was patient and reassuring with me. I will forever be grateful that we had that time with our baby cat."Teresa WilliamsNashville, TNSeptember 15, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Caroline Kiert"Dr. Caroline Kiert was a supportive and compassionate presence. She shared her own journeys with her pets and when she knew it was the time to say good-bye. I wasn't sure if it was Annie's time or not, but after a conversation, a big hug, I knew I had to let Annie go. I felt as if I had a dear friend with me as she knew how skittish Annie was, and came up with a methodology where she would be "pre-sedated" with a treat. No anxiety... just a peaceful passing. I am eternally grateful."Diane WildeSacramentoSeptember 15, 2019Annie's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dawnetta Woodruff"Our 13-year-old standard poodle, Wallace, began a long slow decline over the last year. The last month was more frequent trips to the vet. The day she passed, I came home from work in the afternoon to find she could not stand. I knew right then she was in great pain and it was time to help her pass. My vet was busy but recommended Lap Of Love. Mercifully, they were available at the last moment to come help Wallace be free of pain.
I was amazed at how thoughtful and warm the arriving vet, Dr. Dawnetta Woodruff, was. She gave us plenty of opportunity to say our goodbyes, made claw casts of Wallace's paw, and in all made the whole process so much more family oriented than a trip to the vet office would have been. I wince at the thought of how stressful Wallace's final moments could have been had we not contacted Lap Of Love.
Thank you!"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Lori Braun"I can’t express enough how thankful I was to have this wonderful service. Dr. Lori was just amazing, we joked around saying she was Hexa’s angel. Which was true!! I didn’t have high expectations (I worked in a mobile vaccination clinic) but let me tell you it was the best experience I could have asked for at this painful time. My Hexa girl was close to 90lbs and no way I could lift her into the car without hurting her plus she was stubborn. I couldn’t handle seeing her in any more pain so I called on a Sunday and was able to have Dr. Lori our that day. Dr. Lori was compassionate and caring. I was torn with inviting a stranger in. She was NO stranger. She was like family from the beginning. Got down and the floor with my baby girl and was given a kiss (hexa doesn’t give out kisses). Dr. Lori promised me that she personally would be with Hexa until taken to the crematory where Rebecca would take over. I know, weird, but I didn’t want her to be left alone. Rebecca personally brought her back to me about 36hrs later. Dr. Lori made this process a little easier with her undivided attention and personalization. She is 1 in a million and will always keep her in my heart."Jen FletcherPortlandSeptember 14, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sarah Ryan, DVM"My husband and I could not be happier with Lap of Love and the care they provided for our sweet dog. We had no idea such a service was available, and when we found we could have this done at home without subjecting our dog to a scary trip to the vet, we decided to try it. Not only was it less scary, it was actually as perfect as something like this could be. He was calm and peaceful in our own living room, Dr. Ryan was so good with him and helpful to us on our sad day reassuring us and guiding us through the process. Everything was tasteful and done with proper timing, allowing us to say goodbye, give our hugs and kisses, and feel that final peace we needed. They even called our regular vet to inform them, and they sent us a hand-written sympathy card afterward. HIGHLY RECOMMEND."Karen ColtonToledoSeptember 14, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kristine Campanelli"I cannot express how grateful I am for Lap of Love and especially Dr. Kristine Campanelli. Having to say goodbye to our Kramer was the most difficult and heartbreaking moment ever. Dr. Kristine came into our home with kindness and compassion. She sat beside us and gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye. She was gentle and soft spoken. To be able to have Kramer comfortable at home and not feeling anxious and afraid was the greatest gift to both him and our family. Our other pup Teddy was also there to help comfort us and have an understanding to where his brother has gone. Once Kramer had transitioned we were able to bury him in a peaceful location in our yard where we visit with him each day. Teddy also goes out to see him each morning where he sits beside him. This day would have been so much more tragic had I dragged Kramer into the vet (he hated going) to say goodbye. I felt at peace in my own home filled with love and memories."Jeannine DuchnowskiMiller PlaceSeptember 14, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jessica Spitzer"Dr. Spitzer was very comforting and sensitive to us in a very difficult time. I've never had to put a pet down and it was the most difficult and excruciating decision I have ever made. I felt so guilty and unsure and I felt like I'm letting my dog down. But when she came to our house she was so nice and comforting. She assured us that what we are doing was the right thing and it was best for Buzz. She explained to us every step that's going to happen and she made sure that we understood and were comfortable with it. She was such a reassuring and comforting presence. She even sent us an email and a sympathy card a few days later. Thank you Dr. Spitzer. We appreciated you."Granada HillsSeptember 14, 2019

She explained everything very well and kept me calm by her demeanor..so sweet..caring.loving..sammy was tucked in with blankets on a stretcher before removed. She sent us an email the next day to check on us..brought a pad to make a paw print which was awesome..snipped some hair for us to keep and did an ink pawprint that I wanted..she was like family..not a vet...thanks so much Dr. Sally and lap of love"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Tina Olivieri"I was referred to Lap of Love by my Vet as I didn't want to say good bye to my dog in an exam room. Making that call was incredibly difficult for me, but I knew it was the right time. The Lap of Love person on the phone was incredible. She was very sweet and kind during our call to schedule the appointment. She made it clear I could change my mind at any point, even right up until the appointment. That was very comforting. Dr. Olivieri arrived and greatly exceeded my expectations. She was in no rush at all, she took the time to get to know us and our dog. She explained how everything would go. She listened to his life story and what was recently going on. I felt as if she really cared about all of us and wanted to make the experience as great as it could be. And she did. I was really worried how the after could go. She wrapped him up in a quilt and could not have been more respectful. I'm so sorry if you're reading this and have to make a hard choice, but there is no other service I would go with."Emma BrayfieldTopangaSeptember 13, 2019
