Helping Families Honor the Lives Of Those They Love
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Heather Manfredi"Dr. Heather came to my home on Sunday. This was the hardest decision I had ever made. Kenzie was not just a pet, she was part of our family. Since she was adopted at 12 weeks she had spent everyday of her life with me. I was blessed to be able to bring her to work, she vacationed with our family, attended football games, etc. In that time we only spend 2 days away from each other. My heart was broken when she was diagnosed with Kidney Failure. She also had pancreatitis. To be honest I felt the vets office had lost their compassion in some ways. They could not offer any advice regarding how to make her final part of her life comfortable without what I found to be evasive treatment that would not offer any type of cure for her problems and would be very uncomfortable for her to have to go through. I was devastated to say the least. I friend recommended Lap of Love to me and I found it offered a way to end Kenzie life with love and compassion. I felt I owed her this.
Dr. Heather was very professional and offered the guidance and support I needed at this time. She was very patient and understanding.
I am still very sad but at least I know that Kenzie was not scared at the end of her life. She was in my arms, in the favorite room of our home hearing my soothing voice as she passed on."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Mary Devlin"We have had lap of love veterinarians by our sides during all three of our dogs passings, and each one helped us through the experience tremendously. Doctor Mary was woth us most recently when we had to let our beloved Baxter go, and it can not be overstated what a great comfort it was to have her there. She was kind and compassionate throughout the experience, and made sure Baxter's passing was comfortable and dignified. Her empathy and words of reassurance made a heartbreaking day a little bit easier, and we feel so blessed that we were able to have Baxter's final moments be at home. We said goodbye to him in one of his favorite spots in his backyard on a beautiful fall day. Thank you doctor Mary for your kindness and for taking care of our baby boy in his final moments. You made all the difference."Liz McAvoyFranklinNovember 5, 2019

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Rachel Klickman"We cannot thank Dr Rachel enough of how she handled our hard decision to say good-bye to Champ, our 13 year old Cocker Spaniel. She provided the comfort and compassion that we needed and relieved our guilt over the decision. Nothing can take his place or ease our grief, but the process was easier with her heart-felt approach with our family.

Thanks again Dr Rachel!"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jennifer Walters"Chezzy was a feisty little protector, however, she didn't bark once when Dr. Jenn came in. Dr. Jenn's calm demeanor reassured me and obviously put Chezzy at ease. Her thoughtful and thorough questions made all the decisions and departure a calm process. I also appreciated the follow up email and card, as the past week without Chezzy has been difficult."Lita GatlinCharlotteNovember 5, 2019Chezzy's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jennifer Walters"Thank you so much Dr. Jen!!! I have not stopped talking about how amazing Lap of Love was for us. Benji is already back home with us as of early this afternoon- incredible! I’m sorry I didn’t get to say thank you or goodbye yesterday. I just knew I didn’t want to see him any other way than our last moments. You are truly an angel and I will forever be grateful for you and your compassionate care. I still giggle at the last little snores he let out and will cherish that moment forever ❤️

Thank you for all you do!!!"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"Dr. Brad was so kind and compassionate from the moment he walked into our house. He could see that we were visibly upset. He explained everything to us and what to expect. Our Junior finally wasn’t in pain and Dr. Brad helped us give that to Junior. I would highly recommend Lap of Love and Dr. Brad. My husband Rob and I are extremely grateful for you professionalism and kindness during our extremely difficult decision of euthanasia for our Junior. It is not an easy one to make but it was the right one. Thank you Dr. Brad"Nanci NolfiPhiladelphiaNovember 4, 2019Junior's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Elyse Persico"With the exception of 1 dog, we have always had our pets euthanized at home. This provides a more relaxed atmosphere and familiar surroundings for the pet. It also allows for some final goodbyes and quiet moments with your fur-baby. Doctor Elyse’s calm and compassionate nature helps establish a sense of peace in a difficult situation. I would strongly recommend using this type of service, especially when it involves such a caring Lap of Love veterinarian as Doctor Elyse."Donna SchnaarsVa BeachNovember 4, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Heather Manfredi"Dr. Heather Manfredi was just absolutely phenomenal from beginning to end. She communicated with us every step of the way. Very patient and allowed us all the time we needed to say goodbye to our dog. Couldn’t have asked for a better way to say goodbye to a family member. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her and her company to anyone. My family thanks you for all you did for us and how we were treated."John ChavezBay ShoreNovember 4, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Christina Howard"We would like to thank Dr. Christina for making a very difficult day as beautiful as possible. She helped us to give our 15-year-old precious dog, Blossom a loving end of life experience. Our journey with Laps of Love has been amazing. From the moment we contacted Laps of Love to our first meeting with Dr. Christina the compassion and kindness was much appreciated.
During the most difficult decision we had to make for our girl, Dr. Christina provided us with comfort and love. Dr. Christina first provided Blossom with a warm touch and smile. Blossom appeared so relaxed and at ease with Dr. Christina. This provided us with such comfort.
She was so loving, comforting, understanding. She answered all our concerns and helped us with all our anxieties about the process. She took her time and allowed us all the time we needed. She loving encouraged us to move at our own pace. She allowed us to spend our last moments with Blossom. She was with us as we each said our goodbyes, kissed Blossom and made sure we were all ready. She was very discrete with the procedure so that we could focus on Blossom rather than what she was doing. Blossom’s journey to the rainbow bridge was peaceful and without pain. We are forever grateful to Dr. Christina for helping us through this difficult time.
Having Blossom make her journey in her own home with her family members around her was exactly what she deserved after 15 years of wonderful moments with us. We feel very blessed to have had this experience with Dr. Christina.
With much love and gratitude.

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sally Lynch"Sally Lynch came to my home when I felt it was time to say goodbye to my Tulip. She treated both of us with kindness and respect. She pointed out things she noticed about Tulip, talked about her medical history, and helped me feel comfortable with my decision. She explained exactly what would happen and reassured me about steps to assure Tulip’s comfort. She spoke gently to her, and stroked her along with me. She left us alone afterwards and returned with a soft pillow lined basket and small blanket in which she placed her. A couple of days later I received a lovely note from her recognizing my loving relationship with Tulip and offering comfort. It was the best way to say goodbye to my cherished pet."Betty CanickBostonNovember 4, 2019Tulip's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kimberly Moen"I don’t know how to thank you enough for your kind words, your support and most of all your compassion. You have a gift and it shows. Jake knew how special you were. Thank you so much for coming on short notice. At that point you helped our pain so much. I’m not sure we could have handled an overnight. Each hour gets worse knowing the reality of the life without him is upon us. But we will move forward and in many ways share our joy of Jake through sites like this, conversations and thoughts. We are blessed to have met you and we are forever in debt to you for bringing our big boy eternal peace. The offer and gesture to talk at any time exemplifies your compassion and Lap of Love is so lucky to have you."Jay CashmerePalm Beach GardensNovember 4, 2019Jake's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Cyrus Wegbreit"Dr Wegbreit,

Thank you so much for coming out to my home on Saturday. This kitty meant a great deal to me and I am so thankful that she was handled with extreme care during the final moments.

Of course we can never truly know what our pets are thinking at any given time, but know that how she fell asleep and how she placed her head in my arms was very typical of her. It gave me (and hopefully her) great comfort to know we shared those last few precious moments together in that way. That feeling and memory will stick with me for the rest of my life. I believe you truly made her passing as easy as it could have been, so I wanted to thank you as much as I can for that.

The house feels colder and more emptier than ever, but the speedy return of her ashes helped very much to close the wound and help in a speedy recovery for both me and my wife. Again I thank you for making that process as seamless as possible and minimizing the time in which she was absent from her home."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Julie Zalenka"Dr. Julie was quick to respond to our call, and was equally as patient with us as we said our goodbyes.

Our family was stopping by to say their farewells, and Dr. Julie was engaging and encouraging with our grandchildren, who are between 6 and 8 years old. She responded appropriately to their questions and in doing so, eased their fears and covered topics that my husband and I were not able to address given our emotional state."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Elizabeth Johnson"This is the second time we have had to utilize Lap of Love to help us say goodbye to one of our dogs. At such a sorrowful time, Dr. Elizabeth was genuine and caring. She helped us understand the process, told us what would happen every step of the way, and gave us as much time as we needed both during and after the process. It is comforting to know our sweet dog was cared for so tenderly. I would highly recommend Lap of Love to anyone going through this painful process."Peachtree CornersNovember 4, 2019
