Helping Families Honor the Lives Of Those They Love
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Toby Goldman, DVM"It was a desperate time after hours, on a Saturday, before Mothers Day, when I called for help. Dr. Toby Goldman's schedule was rearranged to accommodate our need first thing in the morning. He was everything and all that made Bernie's crossing over tolerable. Bernie was among friends on his arrival, he spoke quietly, explained the process, anticipated my questions before I could ask and was patient. As his profession, I am grateful and humbled by his manner. Thank you Dr. Toby Goldman for what you do in the most dire hours of need."Geraldine SandmanHenderson, NevadaMay 18, 2019Bernie Brillo's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Aimee Vasse, DVM"Dr. Aimee made this very difficult time for us, a little bit easier. From the second she showed up at our front door, I could feel her compassion and sympathy for us. She didn't even know us, but I could tell that she truly cared. I wouldn't have wanted Jax to go any other way, and by any other doctor. We were never rushed and she made sure that we understood everything that she was doing. Thank you Dr. Aimee, for helping us through this and being there for us."Kristen OwenDenver, ColoradoMay 18, 2019Jax's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Erin Deveau, DVM"It’s been 17 days since we lost Dakota, I’ve tried writing this a few times but couldn’t get through it. Dakota was a very special part of our family, he loved us all so much. He was raised with our four grandsons, he would play ball and just hang out with them while they were here. The twins were 5 months old when we got him, he was always so good with them, they would roll around the floor with him, so gentle with them. Dakota was one protective dog, would always lay at the top of the stairs as if he was standing guard. Our daughter has Down Syndrome and every night he would check on her before he would go to sleep. He loved riding in the car and going places, playing ball and he loved to rough house. Couldn’t have asked for a better dog in the car. Dakota will be greatly missed. Erin thank you for a beautiful time with him before he passed. She was so gentle and kind with him . Thank you again, your beautiful card and poem really meant a lot to us. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kimberly Moen, DVM"Thank You Kimberly Moen. This was undoubtedly one of the hardest things I have ever had to do and you were very kind and sympathetic. You made the process easier and we very much appreciated your kindness. Lap of love was a blessing, I wanted Baylees last moments peaceful, and surrounded by family and Lap Of Love allowed that to happen. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Erin Deveau, DVM"We recently had to have our 20 yr old cat, Tinkerbell, put down do to failing health. We had heard of Laps of Love through a work associate. I contacted them and Dr. Erin came to the house to examine Tinkerbell. After a checkup and deep discussion we sadly decided it would be for the best to proceed. She did a wonderful job and was very gentle with Tinkerbell. It was very emotional as was to be expected but also very comforting with how it was done. I would highly recommend the service to anyone who has a sick or aging pet."Albuquerque, New MexicoMay 17, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Melanie Santspree, DVM"When I called Lap of Love I spoke to Mike Mischler and I knew immediately I called the right place . Mike was wonderful, supportive and patient, I can't say enough about how much he helped me! Then Dr. Melanie came to my house to perform this act of mercy & again I was overwhelmed by the compassion, support, warmth, knowledge, and time and patience she extended to us and our almost 18 year old Shih Tzu who we adopted from APF at age 2 and was with us for over 15 years. I could not have chose a better doctor or organization. I am truly grateful."Cynthia O'TooleGlenville, NYMay 17, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Carrie Roberts, DVM"We had to make a decision in a short amount of time and Dr. Carrie made sure she was available in less than three hours. She was very calm and reassuring. She was also very sweet, not only with Clark but with his brother Addison as well. We asked that the procedure be completed outside in our backyard, which was Clark's favorite place. Dr. Carrie was obviously quite comfortable with that decision. The time she gave us was so much appreciated as nothing felt rushed as it should be. In fact, she made it a very calm process which was best for all four of us. We appreciate her respect for Clark from the beginning until the time she took him with her. We appreciate her professionalism and compassion. We would recommend her services."Vicki Hedges-OldaniSaint Charles, MissouriMay 17, 2019Clark Oldani's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kimberly Moen, DVM"Dr. Kimberly came to our house To assess Larry when I knew the time was coming. I really just wanted to make sure Larry liked this person. He loved her! She was a huge help in keeping him comfortable his last few months, and gave me confidence that I was doing all the right things for him. She has also made me feel that I did the right thing in the end, and was very supportive after the fact. My husband was so happy it was her."Lisa WelchJupiter, FloridaMay 17, 2019Larry welch's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jenn Roedig, DVM"Dr. Roedig was the veterinary angel I needed at my most difficult time. I woke up on a Monday and knew I had to make the call, even though that hadn't been in my thoughts when I went to bed the night before. Dr. Roedig was so patient and kind, and she never made me feel rushed. She answered all of my questions thoughtfully and thoroughly. When it came time to give my sweet dog his peaceful goodbye, she was very gentle and calm. In fact, she was so unobtrusive I forgot she was in the room for a while. Even though it is the hardest decision I've made to date, I'm completely at peace with it because of Lap of Love and Dr. Roedig. They gave me and my boy peace in our last few minutes while in the comfort of our home. I couldn't have asked for anything more from the whole experience. In fact, I've passed Dr. Roedig's name along to several of my colleagues for when that awful day comes for them.

Do yourself a favor and call Lap of Love. Give yourself the memories of kissing your pet goodbye at home in a calm and dignified manner without having to exit a vet's office or arrange for cremation on your own. It's everything I didn't know I needed until I absolutely did."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jennifer Hawthorne, DVM"A wonderful service ..... we were able to spend the last minutes of our beloved dog's life in the comfort of her home sharing memories of her mischief while we laughed and cried. It was great for our teenagers who lost their first ever pet and for my husband and I as well because we were able to help them as well as our fur baby move through this process. Thank you for providing this service."Melissa ZhissMint Hill, North CarolinaMay 16, 2019Ami's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Mary Kovach, DVM"Dr. Mary,
We cannot express our gratitude enough for what you were able to do for our Boo. The compassion, the respect, and the dignity you provided for us and for him...the English language does not have words meaningful enough to describe the comfort you were able to provide. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Compassion and love transcends all boundaries. Experiencing loss produces pain in our hearts that requires others to come by our side to help guide us and let us know we are not alone in our journey. You helped us so much and more significantly, you helped guide our big fella, Boo over the rainbow bridge. Love and peace, always."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Katie Stender, DVM"Dearest Dr. Katie,
I am at a lost for words for your kindness. I lost my precious Sheprador, Daisey Mae at the end of April. Diagnosed with bladder cancer in August 2018, she lived a happy life of sunsets and cheeseburgers. She was my entire world, and had the type of soul that would make your heart melt. Whenever I was sad, she would lick my face, and let me know that all was right with the world. She was my "little spoon" and yet, the world's largest bed hog. You could never trust her around a box of donuts!
You were scheduled to perform a peaceful passing at our home, and unfortunately Daisey took her last breath at midnight, that morning....
Words cannot express your professionalism, respect, and ultimate devotion you showed us in our time of need. You took more care of her after she passed than I could ever have hope and dreamed.
I am truly amazed by your warm heart, the care you showed Daisey, and every communication we have had since her passing to ensure I am okay.
I would not have been able to make it through without your help."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Lorry Jolitz, DVM"We were very saddened to have to put our chihuahua Lily, to sleep. We were very lucky, however, to have Dr. Lorry Jolitz be with us for the process. She was so sweet and delicate with our situation and explained step-by-step what was going to happen and gave us all the time we needed to ask questions and grieve. She made a connection with Lily right away and developed a trust with us, as well. Thank you, Dr. Lorry for helping us get through such a difficult time in our lives!"Laura KollmannSan Bernardino, CaliforniaMay 16, 2019
