Helping Families Honor the Lives Of Those They Love
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Nellie Wilbers, DVM"I woke up this morning thinking again about how much your kindness and skill helped my mom and Violet yesterday. To come into a stranger’s home and hit just the right note is not an easy task. In the context of a terribly sad moment, there was also peace and beauty. Please know that was made possible because of your presence .... I am so grateful to you."Eloise DiPietraNew Albany, OhioFebruary 17, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sally Lynch, DVM"Saying goodbye to Snoopy was one of the hardest decisions we had to make as a family since Snoopy was such an integral part of our home. But because of old age was taking a toll on his body, Snoopy’s quality of life was declining and we could see that he wanted to rest. We called Lap of Love since we wanted Snoopy to spend his last moments in the comfort of his home, and we are so glad that we did. Thank you Dr. Sally Lynch for being so kind to Snoopy in his final moments and talking us through the process. We couldn’t have asked for a better way for Snoopy to rest in peace."Mary Rikka GuillenLowell, MassachusettsFebruary 17, 2019Snoopy's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sunday Cozzi, DVM"We were lucky to have Lap of Love help us with the passing of our sweet girl. It was a very hard decision that took place over many weeks. From the start they were wonderful and compassionate listeners. I knew it was getting close to the time that my sweet dog needed this help but my family was not ready and they really helped us to think it through. When Dr. Sunday came to our home she was so kind and reassuring. She had already sent information to prepare us for what to expect and explained what was happening every step of the way. She took her time with all of us and especially our sweet dog. It was a very peaceful and calm way to handle a very difficult and upsetting time. My baby felt no stress. And we are very grateful."Lori BooneAiken, S. CarolinaFebruary 17, 2019

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kendra Healy, DVM"I never thought I would or could go through with this. However, I do take much comfort knowing that we have dominion and power to make these hard choices for our fur babies. A Sr life is only good when your dog is healthy and enjoying the quality of life in the golden years. Unfortunately our girl Coco had taken a quick turn and for 3 weeks was on medicine, barely walking eating or drinking. She had withdrawn from us and was ready.

Friday night my husband and I talked it through, we filled out the paperwork with a request the next day at 1 pm. Dr. Kendra Healy was tremendous. She got to know us like an old friend and loved on our baby girl. She walked us through what to expect and even her experiences in losing a pet. The price is well worth it. There was not any anxious thoughts or fears of backing out. This is a very hard thing to comprehend and as selfish humans we hold on tight. However Lap of Love with always be remembered as a pleasant experience we can fully recommend. Be ready because it happens so fast, then it wasn't as if Coco died but placed in a basket asleep. The services of removal, cremation and assurance they are not going to be put in a dumpster. I take great comfort Coco Chanel will be chasing rabbits and squirrels (the kind the doc assured her she would catch) what a trip my girl had. We love and will miss her forever."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Keri Morgan, DVM, MPH"We recently realized that our 15-year-old shepherd-mix, Roxy, was at the end of her life. She collapsed outdoors and could not get up. Carrying her into the house was stressful for her, and difficult for us. Our vet’s office suggested that we call Lap of Love. We called and made an appointment for the next day. Dr. Keri Morgan confirmed our assessment, and provided compassionate care to Roxy. She thoroughly explained the euthanasia procedure and described the options for cremation. She gave us time alone with Roxy and encouraged us to talk about her. It was a helpful part of the grief process. Roxy was able to stay in her home, on her own bed with her people. Thank you. Dr. Morgan."Karen EverhartWildwood, MissouriFebruary 14, 2019

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kendra Healy, DVM"I loved my kitty Pink so very much. I'm sure if you're here reading this you also have a special loved one that you've recently lost or are preparing for their passing. It's a hard time. I have no words to describe the hole it leaves in your heart. Dr. Kendra responded quickly to my need to guide Pink out as he became ill and deteriorated fast. She was able to see me within just a few short hours of my call. Her love for animals and their owners is apparent in her gentle caring words and actions. It is also there in how she follows up in those dark days immediately following to make sure you are ok, and to let you know your feelings are real and to be acknowledged. I am so grateful she was the one to guide my beautiful boy out of this world. I still wonder how I'm going to get by without him, but I will. And it helps to know that if I do need someone understanding to talk to, Dr. Kendra will be here for me."Roxan WaldenWinchester, KentuckyFebruary 14, 2019
