There truly aren’t enough words to express how grateful I am to Dr. Jackie. Saying goodbye to my beloved Nala after 16 years was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, but Dr. Jackie made an unimaginable experience as peaceful and comforting as it could possibly be. From the moment she arrived, she was incredibly kind, gentle, and compassionate. She took the time to get to know both me and Nala, never making us feel rushed. She listened to my stories, answered my questions with patience, and treated Nala with so much dignity, love, and respect. It was so clear that she genuinely cared. She created a calm, peaceful environment that allowed me to focus on loving Nala in her final moments instead of feeling overwhelmed by the process. Although my heart is broken, I will always be thankful for the compassion Dr. Jackie showed us and for helping my sweet girl pass with comfort and peace. Dr Sara was wonderful and so compassionate from the moment she told us she was on the way to our house. Her directions on what was going to transpire were spot on and there was no rushing while we went through the process. She even brought a brownie for Madison to enjoy while Dr Sara made the first injection. Madison is now at peace. We also appreciated the Lap of Love team members' demeanor during our initial discovery conversation to their follow up email with a support newsletter and other resources. Thank you for being there for us and assisting with her passage to heaven so seamlessly.
This is the second time I have used Lap of Love and although it is always so heart wrenching, Dr. Liz has made me feel comforted and at ease both times. This service is beautiful because we are all in the comfort of our own home and it feels like a proper honoring to our loved one helping add light to the moment.
