Helping Families Honor the Lives Of Those They Love
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Tina Olivieri"Dear Lap of Love, I had to put down my 14 year old German Shepherd. I rescued her 13 years ago and she has been my best friend. She has been with me for the loss of my husband, father and sister. Samantha has always been by my side. It was really hard to decide to put her down. I called Lap of Love and the receptionist was amazing. She was so warm and understanding. She called Dr. Tina and she was out to my office in a couple of hours. I cannot say enough about Dr. Tina. She was so warm and patient with me and my daughters. She explained everything to us and made us feel so comfortable. It was then that I knew I had made the right decision. Thank you Dr. Tina for all that you did. You are amazing and I am so happy you were there to help us with this hard time. I have already told all my friends and co-workers about Lap of Love. You guys are a God sent. Again I can't say enough about Dr. Tina and your employees. Thank you. Sincerely, Billy Peters"Billy PetersResedaOctober 16, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Amanda Buerk"Dr Amanda was so very kind. I couldn’t imagine letting anyone else assist during such a difficult time. It’s too fresh to talk about in more detail - but would recommend to anyone going through this inevitable loss of a pet."Jacqueline Gill-GregoryOviedoOctober 15, 2019Bailey's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Caroline Kiert"Dr. Caroline was amazing for us. Unfortunately, our cat Leyla became very sick very quickly and the best option for her was to put her down. My wife was struggling with the decision quite a bit and the best option for all of us was to let Leyla spend one more day at home with the people that loved her. Lap of Love was amazing and so kind to us. We had to move up the appointment due to Leyla's current health and they were extremely accommodating of this request. Dr Caroline arrived and was so nice and understanding throughout the entire experience. It was a very difficult time for my wife and I but Dr. Caroline assisted us throughout and I know because of her, Leyla had a positive experience and felt our love in her final moments with us. I would highly recommend to anyone who is interested in going the route of allowing your loved pet to spend it's final time in a safe and comfortable place."Mike SidersFolsomOctober 15, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Tina Olivieri"When our Chihuahua, Luna was showing signs of aging and suffering from a heart murmur at the age of nearly 20 yrs, my husband and I went back and forth on what we should do. She still had so much life and energy towards the end, but we knew she was in a lot of pain . The thought of putting her down was a very difficult for us to process, as it felt like we were playing God and how do we know that it's truly her time to go? Eventually, we realized that putting a stop to her suffering would be the best that we could do for her. I was so grateful that there are at home euthanasia services as the thought of taking Luna to the vet's office filled all of us with fear and anxiety.
We were so happy we went with Lap of Love, after seeing all the great reviews on Yelp. Dr. Tina was wonderful, she showed such compassion and strength, and reassured us that we were doing the right thing. She said with heart conditions, waiting too long can make the procedure more difficult. Having no idea what to expect, Dr. Tina put us at ease right away. She explained everything to us and I noticed how respectful she was, always making sure we were okay with her handling Luna. I could tell she is extremely experienced not only as a Veterinarian but with the parents of pets. We are very grateful to Laps of Love and to Dr. Tina for helping us give our baby Luna peace in the comfort of her home."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Elyse Persico"When our family decided the time had come to help our beloved Welsh Terrier depart this life, my wife discovered an
"in home" option.

As we approached the scheduled day, Dr. Persico reached out to us to ensure we were fully prepared. My wife and I were joined by our youngest daughter who had brought Willow into our home almost 15 years before. Needless to say, we were all dreading what was about to happen but also confident we were doing a difficult thing the right way.

When arrived, she immediately put us at ease. Taking the time to get to know our family. She gracefully eased into the situation, taking time getting to know us, and after some time walked us through what would happen. Most important, she spent quality time getting to know Willow. It was clear she had a real concern for the real reason we were together --Willow.

Dr. Persico helped us find the right place in our home to begin the process, and we all settled in one of Willow's favorite resting places; in her favorite bed with the morning sun on her fur. We all sat together, with Dr. Elyse Persico guiding us through each step. While she had completely described what was going to happen earlier, she took the time to remind us of each step of the journey...relieving our stress and more important, making sure Willow felt completely relaxed and loved.

Throughout this final step with Willow, Dr. Persico was thoroughly caring, sympathetic, and professional. While we were all saddened to see Willow's final breath leave her body and feel her very last heartbeat; we also know she departed this world feeling loved in and in peace. Dr. Persico was incredibly thoughtful, patient, and professional through every step and of the process, to include following up with us to see how we were doing.

We cannot recommend Dr. Elyse Persico and the Lap of Love strongly enough. While losing a loved pet is always a terrible thing, there is no better way of saying goodbye."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kristine Campanelli"A very good friend of mine referred Dr. Kristine Campanelli to me and I am so happy that I made that dreaded phone call to Lap of Love. I must have picked up the phone 100 times to call them only to put the phone back down again, I wasn't sure if I was doing the right thing. I knew my old girl Nikka was coming to the end of her life at 15 years old, she was in pain but never complained. I finally made the call and requested Dr. Kristine to come to our home to help us let her go. From the minute Kristine walked in the door I knew I was doing the right thing, she was calming for both me and Nikka. I didn't sleep for the 2 nights before this appointment praying I was doing the right thing. Kristene was so sweet to my old girl, spoke to her like she was her own, she was so caring and gentle with her. Nikka left this world so peacefully and I have Dr. Kristine to thank for that. My heart was broken knowing i had to let her go, but she was in no pain and at peace, I would recommend Dr. Kristine to anyone having to deal with this, she truly was a blessing at a very dark time and helped us all feel better about making such a hard decision."Diane BianchiBellportOctober 14, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Ashleigh Rhoades"Dr. Ashleigh Rhoades was with us that night when he had to make the hardest decision of our lives. She was gentle and patient as we struggled to say our goodbyes and help Murmur through the entire process in the way we felt she needed. We were so thankful to have her with us and fear that with anybody else we may not have survived the evening. Thank you from the deepest parts of our hearts."Christina & Jason DunbarNewcastleOctober 14, 2019Murmur's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Elizabeth Hilton"My family and I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Liz for the utmost compassion and professionalism that she afforded us. Dr. Liz exuded peace and tranquility and calmed our fears as we were faced with losing our beloved Munchkin. I was despondent at having to make the heart wrenching, painful decision to let Munchkin go. Dr. Liz was supportive and her kindness and sincerity made a very difficult, anguishing time less stressful. She is truly an “Angel” on Earth who graciously and gently enabled our beloved Munchkin to pass peacefully. There aren’t enough words of praise for Dr. Liz who made Munchkin’s last moments filled with love as was his entire life.
Forever Thankful,
Munchkin's Family"
