Helping Families Honor the Lives Of Those They Love
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Lauren Peek, DVM"Dr. Peek was so compassionate and calming throughout the process. She validated our decision and we are so blessed to have been able to give Boomer this gift in the comfort of our home. She explained the procedure and gave us as much time as we needed with Boomer. She was genuine and caring. I would recommend Laps of Love and Dr. Peek to any pet owner."Leigh Ann KrohmerWinter GardenJanuary 22, 2020Boomer 's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Amy Parrish"Dr. Amy was so compassionate. She recognized our emotional distress about making a decision that was so painful for us. She observed and then examined Mejee, explaining the symptoms of pain and anxiety, and validating our good care of her throughout 4 years with Cushing's. There was never a feeling of being rushed---we were given all the time we needed to say goodbye to our little one. We felt such comfort when Dr. Amy brought in the basket so nicely made up with colorful blankets. Watching Dr. Amy tuck the blanket around her was touching. Thank you,, Dr. Amy for helping Mejee leave us peacefully."Frances BetzEastonJanuary 21, 2020Mejee's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jo Millard"When our sweet girl Sume was diagnosed with heart disease two years ago we thought our days with her were numbered but she proved otherwise. Her spirit and kindness never let her illness get the best of her. It became apparent these last few months that not only was she suffering from heart disease but had also developed kidney disease. Her health began to deteriorate and my sister and I knew it was time to let her go. We knew we wanted her to spend her last moments with us peacefully at home and were referred to Lap of Love by Sume's vet. Dr Jo was so kind, compasionate, professional and sympathetic. This was the first time I had to put down a pet and she walked me through the entire process of what would happen. I appreciated her light heartedness as I was an emotional mess and she was able to put a smile on our faces. We miss Sume dearly but I am happy she is no longer in any pain or discomfort. Thank you Lap of Love and Dr. Jo. I am truly grateful."Christine DushnerMariettaJanuary 21, 2020
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Caroline Kiert"Dr. Caroline came to my house to help me say goodbye to my sweet Lucy, a beautiful tortoiseshell tabby who had been with me for 18 years. As difficult and emotional as this was for me, Dr. Caroline made both Lucy and me feel comforted and at peace. More importantly, my Lucy didn't suffer. I was able to hold her and talk to her as she slipped away and I was given as much time as I needed to say goodbye. In the following days, the paw print that Dr. Caroline made for me has become a lovely connection to my girl. I hold it and feel that she's with me. It's never easy saying goodbye to our furry family, but I know that having Lucy take leave in her own home, being held by her favorite person, and attended to by the kindest doctor, was a real blessing for us both. I'm so grateful that I was able to find Dr. Caroline and that she, and others like her, are there for all of us."Deborah FieldsSacramentoJanuary 21, 2020
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jeni Goedken"Having to euthanize our Black Labrador, Lucy, was a heartbreaking (though necessary) ordeal for my wife and me (this was her first dog). Dr. Jeni G. was the perfect person to help us. She was empathetic, professional, patient and, above all, unfailingly warm and kind. I unreservedly recommend Lap of Love for anyone who'd like their pet's final day to be one filled with love and compassion. Thank you, Dr. Jeni for helping Lucy's pain finally end."Jason KnowlesFoster CityJanuary 21, 2020

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Nil Wilkins"Dr. Nil was amazing, compassionate, loving. We feel she felt the pain of losing Cali as if she'd known her for the 18 years of her life. Thank you for giving our baby girl the most peaceful way to gain her wings. You are an angel."Shawn YoungTampaJanuary 21, 2020Cali 's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Blaine Brennock"Dr. Blaine was so kind and compassionate. It is never easy to say goodbye to your four legged family member, but of all the fur babies in the past we have had to say goodbye to, this was the easiest, most loving, most caring, less stressful experience we have ever had. I told Dr. Blaine that I don't think we could have hand selected a better or more compassionate person than him.
We are so thankful and grateful to him as well as the staff for having such a caring service.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jessica Arth"We're so thankful that we heard of Lap of Love in time for Angel's final day with us. The whole experience was very meaning and very personal. From the 1st call when I started bawling as soon as Jessica T answered the phone and gave me as much time as I needed. To Dr Jessica A getting to know our family and Angel upon arrival. She was very mindful of my husband not wanting to be in the room when any needles were out. Making sure we understood and were ready for each step of sending our sweet girl to heaven. She even hugged our daughter (angel's mommy) after she said her final goodbye to her fur baby before leaving with Angel's body. This is an amazing company for such a hard time.

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Heather Manfredi"January 9th was by far the hardest day of my life. I did not want to accept that my dear Sage’s end was near. I also knew how much she never enjoyed going to the Vet and the best thing for her was to keep her in the comfort of her own home. From the moment Dr. Heather stepped into our house she brought such a calmness to such a difficult situation. She didn’t just make sure Sage was comfortable, but she made she sure we were as well. She walked us through the whole process and gave us as much time as we needed. Nothing about losing Sage was beautiful, but the way she went was. She was so peaceful and comfortable. I lost a piece of my heart that day and I know I’ll never get that back. I cannot thank Dr. Heather enough for all she did for us. It takes a rare soul to do what you guys do. Dr. Heather is a true angel."Danielle DeeIslip TerraceJanuary 21, 2020
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Christina Guillory"I never got the chance to thank Christina for her kind and compassionate end of life services. Our dog, Lily, needed peace from her suffering and this is the only way I would have had it. Thank you, Christina, for your apparent kind heart and sensitivity towards our whole family. We are so grateful for you."Kristin JacksonEl LagoJanuary 21, 2020
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Elyse Persico"As most dog owners, Riley was my best friend. We rescued him from the SPCA about 11 years ago He was brought back 2 times and was named Bear and Remi by his previous owners. He was a gentle giant so we re-named him Riley I work from home a few days a week so he was by my side most days but never tired of doing his most important job of alerting me when people would come to the door. Everyone loved Riley! He developed cancer in his back leg and we knew the time would come when we had to make that difficult decision to not let him suffer. I cannot say enough great things about Dr Elyse Persico. She was so kind and understood our devastating grief. I was so grateful that we were able to do this for Riley as he laid on his dog bed in his own home. He did not like going to the vet and I did not want him to experience that trauma as he was suffering. It truly takes a special person to do what Dr Persico does day in and day out. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to say our goodbyes and be with Riley just as he was there for us all these years.

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kristine Campanelli"This was my first time putting down a pet. From start to finish the people at Lap of Love were tremendous. From the first phone call to when the doc came everyone was compassionate, professional and sympathetic to us. The amount of caring they showed made it feel like they too were losing my dog. In such a horrible situation they really helped us through the pain with talking with us every step of the process. It really made it a bit easier to go through with how they handled everything. I am extremely grateful for them and what they do."michael bonserioRONKONKOMAJanuary 20, 2020
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kendra Healy"Kendra was so kind. Losing Diamond was incredibly hard, but saving her the fear of a veterinary office visit made it easier for her. Kendra's understanding and the very gentle way she made sure that Diamond passed made it easier for us. We appreciate Kendra so much."LexingtonJanuary 20, 2020Diamond's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Heather Manfredi"On December 20, we let the best dog in the world go. We know we gave Bingo the best life, but the joy and love he gave us was immeasurable. We'd adopted Bingo at 8-9 years old and had 7 wonderful years with him. There aren't words. Saying goodbye to him at home, in his bed with his head in my lap and his Dad next to him, where he was the happiest, was the only way. Lap of Love made that possible."Kristie MalkasianCommackJanuary 20, 2020

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Rene Butler"I was surprised and gratified that Dr. Butler was available to come just a few hours after I called Lap of Love. Her sympathetic manner and vast experience made everything go smoothly, and my babe went calmly to sleep. Dr. Butler made an imprint of Sweet Pea's paw, and clipped a few locks of fur for me to keep. She had a basket with soft blankets to carry Sweet Pea out, and she put her on the front passenger seat, which I thought was a lovely courtesy, you know, not treating her like cargo. Thank you, Dr. Butler, for easing us through such a hard day. You are a gem."Ann DeusenberryVallejoJanuary 20, 2020Sweet Pea's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Loren Gassler"Dr. Loren was the most compassionate, kindest, understanding person I have ever met that I completely trusted with everything. She explained the disease my sweet boy had and I completely trusted her and everything she told me. She was very educated and took her time with me and my husband. Even though I didn't want to let my son go she explained how he would only get worse and I didn't want to keep him with me for my own selfish reasons. It was just the hardest thing I did . She was a wonderful lady but wish I wouldn't have had to meet her under those circumstances. I held him in my arms while he crossed the rainbow bridge but just cant get over it. I was however thankful I was able to give him the dignity he deserved to cross over and be there for him. I tell all my friends and family how wonderful the entire staff is. If I wasn't so upset when I called twice I would love to mention the two lovely ladies that answered the phone. Everyone has a way of being very calming and sweet.
thank you again Dr. Loren
God speed"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Lisa Rodin"Dr. Lisa, thank you for the email. We miss Lovey so much. This house does seem empty without him. Everything is a reminder of him. He was a part of our lives for 16 yrs. Being the last of the "Four Brothers", makes it especially hard. I can't stop crying. Thank you so much for coming to our house to help us to say goodbye to Lovey and thank you for being so kind and compassionate. That means a lot....Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for your warmth and compassion and for assisting us in our home. If the situation arises again, I'm definitely calling you. It takes a special kind of person to do what you do. Thank you."Oklahoma CityJanuary 20, 2020
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Abigail Shearin, VMD, PhD"Dear Dr. Shearin and Lap of Love Staff ~

Today we said good-bye to our cat, Bernie. That we were able to do this at home where he felt at peace, safe and secure was such a gift. Dr. Shearin's professionalism and heartfelt compassion made the experience tolerable. She was like an angel that swooped in and made the experience of good-bye feel loving and natural and peaceful. To thank you is certainly not enough, what you give to pets and their "families" is beyond expression.

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jessica Wilbourne"We had to say goodbye to my sweet 12yr old Australian Shepherd Copper today. It was by far the hardest thing I have ever had to do. Dr Jessica was so kind and compassionate to the situation. She explained everything to us and supported us in that the decision was the right one to make at this time. We had searched for home euthanasia because we wanted the least amount of stress for our beloved Copper and to surround him with those that loved him the most. As hard as it was to say goodbye it was the best way to say goodbye. ❤️ She took good care and support to all of us in this heart wrenching time."Sherry ReichardtBucksJanuary 20, 2020
