Dr. Rachel

I could not have asked for a better experience than what Dr. Rachel provided for my handsome Smokey. She was so compassionate and understanding throughout the entire visit, and I'm so thankful that my sweet boy's last experience was at home and surrounded by love. The entire process, from the initial tear-filled email/phone call to the sweet sympathy card afterwards from Dr. Rachel, has been nothing short of extraordinary. I will absolutely ask Lap of Love & Dr. Rachel to provide the same experience for my other fur babies in the future.

Dr. Ronda

Dr Ronda was so kind and gentle. She answered all of my son’s questions and asked him about our beloved Marley. She didn’t rush us and gave us time to say goodbye. It was easy to be comfortable with her despite the fact that she was a stranger we were meeting on a really hard day. It’s so so important to have the right person come into your home to help you take care of your furry family member and Dr Ronda was definitely the right person. We feel lucky to have happened upon her.

From our initial call with lots of questions to the day of our sweet girls passing - Dr. Gwynn made the transition perfect. Karma was treated with love and compassion while she made her way to the rainbow bridge 🤍

Dr. Dani

Dr. Dani Rockstad is not only one of the most amazing and caring human being’s, but also veterinarians. It just so happens she was our boys veterinarian for many years before she left to join Lap Of Love, so being able to have her come out as we said our final goodbyes before helping our boy cross the rainbow bridge, was nothing short of amazing, and extra special for us. She is so caring and compassionate. Being able to share stories with her, to laugh and cry at the same time was so comforting. I had bought little canvas boards and acrylic paint to do my own nose and paw prints and she did those for me when there’s no way I could’ve done them myself. She made every part of his transition, the very best it could possibly be under the circumstances. Our boy was 13.8 years old, diabetic and insulin dependent 5.7 years, and blind 4.6 years. The average person would have never known that he had the health issues he did. He never missed a beat. He was a happy energetic boy, and lived his best life up until the day we said goodbye. He had developed geriatric onset laryngeal paralysis (narrowing of the airway).. When he started developing a more difficult breathing pattern, we knew that it was better to let him go a week too early, rather than a day too late. Literally the hardest decision that we’ve ever had to make. Dr. Dani Rockstad eased all of our fears, followed up with emails to make sure that we were doing OK, she also sent the sweetest card with her condolences. She remains one of my heroes in one of the most difficult times of my life, an angel, in my time of need. I’m ever so thankful to her, and to the Lap Of Love program for all that they are, and all that they do.. Blessings to all of you that are also going through the heartache of losing your fur babies. It is bittersweet but these incredible, compassionate people make it so much easier. 💔🙏♥️
