Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kim Simons, DVM"Dr. Simons was so much better than I had expected. This was not the first time I have had to have a beloved pet put down, but it was the first time that two pets were in need of her services at the same time. She was wonderful with my beloved Fanny and Buster, both were 14 1/2 years old with different end of life issues. She made me feel
comfortable with my decision and helped ease my critters to a better place with no more pain or treatments.

I would highly recommend Dr. Kim Simon to anyone faced with end of quality life for a pet. It was so much better on the pets and owners to be in their own home. She was amazing in her gentleness and love for my Fanny and Buster."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Laura Devlin Bacon, DVM DABVP"Dr. Laura Bacon was very gentle with our poor dog and understood our grief at making this difficult decision. Thankfully she saw that it was more kind to end his life than to prolong it. What a gift to our family for her gentleness and kindesss. His end was very peaceful in our family room where he had spent many happy hours."Susan FoxKnoxvilleJanuary 6, 2013

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Juliana Lyles, DVM"We can't say enough about the kindness and compassion shown to us by Dr. Juliana Lyles. She spent so much time with me on the phone beforehand listening to all of my concerns. She took time with our dog and us before, during and after the euthanasia process. The little paw print memento and lock of hair were also special touches. I am so happy this is how we went about his difficult time."Ann StuehmSchaumburgJanuary 5, 2013
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"Sorry this took so long to get out but it doesn't take away from the tremendous services that Dr Bates provided my husband and me. He was a gentleman who made us feel at ease with this decision. He was compassionate, and a great listener. I am so glad this organization exists and so grateful I had the pleasure to meet Dr. Bates."Maria DePaulisUpper DarbyJanuary 4, 2013
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jennifer Saez, DVM"My wife had nothing but praise for Dr. Jennifer. She spent two hours with Neme in examination and did not push my wife. She gave my wife time to think and to decide. When the final time did come, she was gentle with Neme.

My wife was grateful for Dr. Jennifer for the time she spent with her and Neme, and will always be so."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jennifer Saez, DVM"When Dr. Jennifer arrived at the house, I was an emotional wreck. It was extremely difficult to grasp what was about to happen to Theo. The level of compassion and sincerity Dr. Jennifer displayed helped me from slipping into a total anxiety attack. Although I have not met the other Vets that belong to Lap of Love, I truly believe they have the same compassion and sincerity as Dr. Jennifer. To ease the emotional pain, Dr. Jennifer personally coordinated the logistics of Theo's cremation and kept in constant contact with me during the time she left our house. I really admire her professional demeanor and will always remember her saying at that final moment "Theo Passed"."Bob PierceSafety HarborDecember 30, 2012Theo's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kim Simons, DVM"Dr Kim was so wonderfully compassionate with my darling boy Duke. It really did help and very comforting that he snored out of tthis life in his own home. He was like a real live teddy bear."Brandy (Lynne) BucciGreenacresDecember 30, 2012
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Alicia Manlio-Petry, DVM"Thank you for your services, it broke our hearts to let Hoku go but we knew she was so sick and it was time. You helped to allow Hoku to pass on in place where she was most comfortable, at home in her bed with us....we are grateful for that"Jeff & Kathy GerberOrange ParkDecember 30, 2012

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Laura Devlin Bacon, DVM DABVP"I just want to let everyone know what a blessing this service was at such a difficult time of losing a pet. Dr. Bacon is an extremely gentle and comforting person who clearly approaches her job with an incredible level of compassion and understanding. To be able to say goodbye to my dog in the privacy of my own home and with the help of such a uniquely talented and empathic professional made all the difference for me. Dr. Bacon allowed us all the time we needed to say goodbye and to grieve and was able to perform the euthanasia in a location of my choosing while I held and comforted my dog. Although it broke my heart to lose my best friend, with Dr. Bacon's care, the process was as peaceful and painless as possible. I would highly recommend that anyone facing the loss of a pet consult Dr. Bacon's service so that they do not have to face this difficult moment in the cold and sterile environment of a vet's office."Greg EisingerKnoxvilleDecember 26, 2012
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"Thank you Dr. Bates for assuring me I made the right decision. I highly recommend this to al pet owners/pet lovers. From the second I spoke to Dr. Bates, he was friendly, caring, educated and there for me. I hesitated at 1st about doing this, but I then I realized my dog deserves to be at home, where he is familiar with his family, friends and surroundings. Again, a big thanks to Dr. Bates for helping us make the right decision and easing all of our pain."Greg SMalvernDecember 26, 2012
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"I was nervous at 1st doing this, but from the second I talked to Dr. Bates I felt very good and understood my decision to do this A LOT better. He is/was caring, friendly, understanding and even checked in on me afterwards. I am so happy(and relieved) that Dr. Bates made this a smooth process and I am very grateful I could do this at my own house, where my dog was most happy & comfortable. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Marguerite Voorhees, DVM"I had never heard of Lap of Love until today. What a great service to have when you want only the best for your pet on their last earthly day. Dr. Voorhees answered my voicemail quickly and was at my house within a few hours. She calmly explained the procedure and let us do things at our own pace. It was quick and peaceful. The clay paw print is definitely something I will treasure.
Thank you Lap of Love and Dr. Voorhees!"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Juliana Lyles, DVM"As we all know, coming to a decision like this is extremey difficult. Our Tucker had osteosarcoma and had lived 9 wonderful years. My husband and I felt such a peace in our hearts through this process and that is because of the respectful, kind, and heartwarming manner with which Dr. Lyles took care of us and our dog Tucker. She was willing to be available to use to talk at any time, even in the middle of the night. She talked us through it when the time finally came and we are so grateful for the closure we received knowing that our Tucker left us in peace and pain free. Thank you so much Dr. Lyes."Ryan SchiltzPalatineDecember 16, 2012
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dani McVety"While visiting our daughter in Tampa for the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays, our 14 year old Lab, Maggie's health rapidly declined and it became evident we would not be able to get her back to our home in Loveland, Ohio. She had reached the point that she couldn't stand on her own and I had to nearly carry her when she had to go outside. Her appetite vanished and we realized she was in the process of leaving us.

Our daughter's local veterinarian clinic in Tampa suggested we call Lap of Love to discuss the difficult situation we were facing. I called Dr.Dani McVety and told her about Maggie and our desire to peacefully get her through this so we could "take her home".

Yesterday morning Dr. Dani came to our daughter's home, patiently listened to us tell her about Maggie's wonderful life and then with great kindness, compassion and dignity helped Maggie slip away as I held her in my arms. As hard as it was to let my wonderful friend go, I knew it was her time and along with the rest of my family will forever be grateful to Dr. Dani McVety for not just what she did but more importantly the genuine kindness with how she did it.

We will return to Ohio with Maggie's ashes after Christmas and credit Lap of Love for making that possible....thank you so much Dr. Dani."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sara Fletcher, DVM"Letting my beautiful and loving Bichon Frise, "Hope", go was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. Hope was the love of my life. We got her in January 1996. She was approximately 3 months old. In September of this year she became very sick, and we took her to her veterinarian. She was diagnosed with kidney failure. It took me about a week before I could get the strength to say goodbye for now.

I had never heard of Lap of Love before this time. I found them on the internet. I just couldn't take Hope back to our veterinarian to do this. I know how nervous she always was when she had to go there. I took a chance and phoned Sara Fletcher. She was very compassionate and understanding. On September 20, 2012, Sarah came to my house where my husband, Curtis and I were waiting with Hope. Sara was so easy to talk to, and helped make the transition of letting Hope go peacefully for her and us. I will always consider Sara a friend.

RIP my beloved "Hope". 10/23/1995 to 9/20/2012 ♥"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Cherie Buisson, DVM"Dr. Buisson was so wonderful to our family and our beloved Baby Girl. She let us take our time with our good byes while we all lay on the kitchen floor. She suggested Baby's brother and sister (Max and Daisy) be allowed to come say their good byes as well. In one of the must gut wrenching weeks of our lives (did we make the right decision etc) we are so thankful that Lap of Love was there for us and more importantly Baby. When we are confronted with this situation again....we will only use Lap of Love."April EversoleClearwaterDecember 12, 2012
