Helping Families Honor the Lives Of Those They Love
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Becky Frank, DVM"We want to sincerely thank Dr. Becky for all that she has done for our family and Cody. From the moment I called to schedule an appointment, to the phone calls with her to answer our questions, and our final goodbye to Cody (our 13 1/2 year old Yellow Lab) we only wish we would have had this same experience with our 3 other pets we had to say goodbye to within the past 2 years.

We started with pets before children and were blessed to have 2 wonderful cats and 2 amazing dogs. The most difficult thing we have had to do in our life is to have had to say goodbye to our pets. Prior to knowing about Lap of Love we went through our veterinarian which does not even compare to this experience with Dr. Becky in our home. We wish more people knew about this wonderful company. By having Dr. Becky come to our home allowed Cody to remain comfortable in his own surrounding and made it more personal and private for our family. Dr. Becky took the time to meet Cody, explained things with Cody’s condition to us and walk us through the process. She then made us Cody’s beautiful paw print that we will cherish forever.

We hope that by sharing our experience will help other families going through one of the most difficult times in life know that they and their beloved pet will be in good hands with Dr. Becky. We are grateful to have been referred to Dr. Becky.

In Loving Memory of Cody Berg who will always be loved and missed.

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jennifer Walters, DVM"In my adult life I've had to say goodbye to three of my best dog friends, and each time is always so difficult and different. This time I decided instead of going to a vet's office, to bring someone to my home to help say goodbye to Sedona, who had developed an aggressive tumor only two months prior. Lap of Love was recommended by my vet, and Dr. Jennifer came to my house a few nights before Christmas. She was so kind, she asked questions about Sedona's life and was incredibly patient with us, with Sedona, and with our other animals, especially the cat who did not leave the room for the procedure and wanted to help her. As sad as the time was, it was so peaceful and she made it almost beautiful. She then went outside to allow my other dog to come in to see Sedona, and when we were ready, she came back in with the guy from the crematorium and they gently put her into a casket and let me say my goodbyes again. Everyone was so respectful and kind. I have and always will recommend Dr. Jennifer and Lap of Love to anyone that has to make this difficult decision."Beth SmithCharlotte, North CarolinaJanuary 1, 2018
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Amanda Page, DVM"Dr. Amanda was amazing with my Baby Batty, and my heart broken self. The entire company for that matter, was just so gentle and kind every step of the way. I still do not know how they were able to hear me through all the tears, but Shelly did a great job of being compassionate while taking me through the process. Dr. Amanda was gentle and allowed me to hold my baby, Batty through the whole process. I cannot thank them enough.
I apologize for taking so long to write this testimonial, but my heart breaks because I miss my baby so much, and coming to this site reminds me of how many people have that same broken heart."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sarah Flott, DVM"Dr. Sarah Flott was amazing. She was the angel that we all needed that day. She put all of us at ease including Skeeter. She gave us our time alone with Skeeter when we needed it, and was there for us when we needed her. She gave both my husband and I a big hug before she left with our girl, and we knew she was in good hands. I am so thankful to have had her there to help us through this time. She took care of our girl as if it were her own. Thank you, Dr. Sarah."Stephanie DunniganLeander, TexasJanuary 1, 2018Skeeter's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Erin Coello, DVM"My beloved Katie, who passed on December 24, 2017, was a bright spot in my family life. We got her just a month before my husband was diagnosed with brain cancer. She helped me and my three sons, get through the most difficult time in our lives. We didn't want to see her suffer in pain anymore. She was born on Christmas day in 2006. Unforeturnatly she was unable to make it to her 11th birthday. It was one of the hardest decision I ever had to make, but thankfully Katie made the decision for us. We knew it was time to let her go. Dr. Erin was so kind and gentle to Katie and to me and my son. It broke our hearts to have to let her go, but it gave us much comfort to know that she was able to go with us petting her and her laying on my bed in her usual spot. Not at a cold vets hospital, where she spent the previous weekend in such pain. She was surrounded by her pack all who loved her with all their hearts.

Thank you Lap of Love, and Dr. Erin. You made a difficult decision, as peaceful as it could of been.

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Steven Schultz, DVM"Dr. Schultz was so kind, caring and gentle. After examining Brogan he determined that he was in a great deal of pain. Dr. Schultz explained the euthanasia process, patiently answering any questions. He showed care and dignity throughout the process. He took care of Brogan and me. Dr. Schultz carefully shaved some hair and made a paw impression. After Brogan had passed, Dr. Schultz wrapped him carefully in a warm fuzzy blanket. I assisted and Dr. Schultz even made sure I I did not let Brogan's head lag. We carefully placed him in the car. Dr. Schultz was professional and compassionate. Making this process a bit easier. I would recommend this service and Dr. Schultz to anyone."Catharine UllenbruchAmherst, NYJanuary 1, 2018Brogan's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Daniel Genatiempo, DVM"I highly recommend Dr. Dan from Lap of Love, and am eternally grateful for his compassionate and comforting presence as we said goodbye to sweet Sara. He exhibited great kindness, care, respect and consideration for Sara during the entire process, even after she had passed.
Forever etched in my memory is the delicate care he took to make sure her paws were safely tucked in as he situated her on the stretcher before carrying her away.

Thanks to Dr. Dan, Sara’s last moments were spent with family laying in the sunny spot of the living room that was her favorite. To be able to say goodbye in the comfort of home was priceless. I wish I had known about you last fall when we said goodbye to Sara’s sisters, Katya and Sandy.

The fur clippings and clay imprint of her paw that Dr. Dan gifted me with are keepsakes that I will always treasure. The follow-up email, touching on-line memorial and sympathy card that Dr. Dan sent afterwards were a great comfort.

Dr. Dan, thank you dearly for providing this important service. I am forever grateful to you for helping us say goodbye in such a loving and peaceful way. Many blessings to you."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kim Bruce, DVM, CVA"We were so thankful that Dr. Kim was able to come out on such a short notice! Dr. Kim was so courteous, compassionate, gentle and knew exactly what to say to help comfort us in the difficult situation of having to have one of our loving kitties put to sleep so that she didn't have to suffer any longer. It is people like Dr. Kim that make such a positive difference in this world! Thank you Lap of Love!!! We will highly recommend your company to any of our friends who are ever in need with the dreadful decision to have to let go of their beloved pets."Randy SabadosSedalia, ColoradoDecember 31, 2017
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Annie Dion-Byrd, DVM"Daisy was my 15 1/2 year old lab mix. I had her since she was 8 weeks old. She was my only baby & had been with me most of my adult life. Over the last few months, her mobility in her hips started to deteriorate. Her pain medication was no longer helping as it had before. She began falling & needed help getting up. I just wanted to celebrate one more Christmas with my girl. Christmas night she was very uncomfortable. She panted & paced around for several hours before she was able to lay down comfortably & fall asleep. Laps of Love had been recommended to me by my vet as I knew taking her into the vet’s office wasn’t an option for us. I made an appointment for Dr. Annie to come to our home on Thursday morning giving me a day to spoil my Daisy girl before Dr. Annie arrived. From the moment Dr. Annie came in, I knew I made the right choice. She was sweet & understanding, listening to everything that Daisy had been going through. She reassured me that I was making the right decision for Daisy. She was with us ever step of the way, explaining everything that would happen, never rushing us or making us feel like she had anywhere else to be. Daisy passed very peacefully at home where she was most comfortable, surrounded by love & a new friend, Dr. Annie. I would recommend Dr. Annie to anyone who has to make the very difficult decision to release their furry child from their failing body."Danielle ThomasOrlando, FloridaDecember 30, 2017
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jessica Webster-Boden DVM"Doctor Jessica , was a blessing in disguise, She was kind and patient with us, and kind to our boy. She checked on us today to make sure we were okay. And when she took our boy she did not put him in a bag, but on a stretcher and covered him with a blanket. Thank you doctor Jessica, anyone who you serve are blessed to have you be the one who comes to help them in thier time of need.
I also want to say that the number I called and talked to Kristen, and a few others , as I had to call a few times because I couldn't make the decision that needed to be made, all who answered were compassionate and for lack of a better word loving .
But Kristen whom I talked to the day I actually made the appointment , talked to me about Alister and my other babies. I was afraid that I was taking to much of her time, but she just kept talking to and making progress with my appointment, She was loving, caring and cared about my heart breaking .
I just want you to know that your staff that handle making the appointments, are wonderful and you have done well with whom you have hired.
Thank you again from the bottom of my heart, for your services. I don't know what we would have done without them"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Steven Schultz, DVM"My precious, sweet Brogan had started to experience issues related with age (low muscle tone in the back legs, hard of hearing) and had some recurring issues with pain in his abdomen. On Tuesday 12/26, he started to quickly decline. By early evening he could not walk and had stopped eating and drinking. Although I had a vet appointment for the next day, I realized it would be very difficult to get him there. I called Lap of Love the next morning. Laurie was patient as I cried giving her needed information. Dr. Steve arrived at my home mid morning. He was so very kind, caring and gentle. After examining Brogan and determining that he was in significant pain, Dr. Steve took time to explain the process of euthanasia. As I sat by Brogan's side with my sister as support, Dr. Steve administered the medication, taking the time to make sure I was ready for each step. He showed respect and dignity for Brogan. After he had passed, we gently placed Brogan on the stretcher. Dr. Steve said to make sure that Brogan's head to did not lag, showing care till the end. We then wrapped him in a warm, fuzzy blanket . Although losing my precious Brogan is very difficult, having him pass at home was a gift to both he and myself. I am thankful for this service that Lap of love offers. I am truly thankful for Dr. Steve's kind, caring approach to this difficult process."Cathi Ullenbruchamherst, NYDecember 29, 2017
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Ashleigh Rhoades, DVM"Dr Ashleigh came to our house the evening before Christmas Eve. She treated Cleo and my daughter and I with gentleness, kindness and dignity. She had a simple basket with a warm blanket to lay Cleo in after it was all over. After giving her a final hug and laying her in the basket, it gave me a peaceful image of Cleo to remember. Dr Ashleigh helped us through an exceedingly painful time, and I am very grateful."Issaquah, WashingtonDecember 29, 2017Cleo's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Nellie Wilbers, DVM"Dr. Nellie was wonderful in helping Gigi pass this past month. She was also very helpful to the humans in Gigi's family. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dawnetta Woodruff, DVM"Chloe, our 14 1/2 year old beloved Golden Retriever, became very ill and we were considering euthanasia. We had a horrible experience with euthanasia with a prior pet and my husband was very reluctant to proceed. Unfortunately, Chloe's condition continued to decline and our vet concurred that it was time. Although our vet did not do home euthanasia, we were fortunately referred to Lap of Love. Dr. Dawnetta came to our home to assist in transitioning Chloe to her next journey. Words cannot express how terrific Dr. Dawnetta was through this difficult time. She was professional and compassionate and explained every step with reassurance that Chloe would be comfortable. On a cold, snowy December day, we gathered around Chloe on her pillow surrounded by her favorite humans and toys in front of the fireplace. We said our final goodbyes in the comfort of our home and on our terms. You could feel Dr. Dawnetta's love of animals and her sincere compassion for our loss. As Dr. Dawnetta was leaving with Chloe, I felt very anxious that my Chloe Bear was leaving without me. Dr. Dawnetta must have sensed this anxiousness and quietly said, "Please don't worry, I will take care of Chloe like she was my own." A huge sense of relief came over me because I trusted that this was true and that Dr. Dawnetta would indeed take care of Chloe as her own. I highly recommend Lap of Love and Dr. Dawnetta. Although difficult, Dr. Dawnetta made this a truly beautiful and peaceful experience and Chloe was treated with all the respect and love she so deserved."DONNA HAWKINSSt. Peters, MissouriDecember 29, 2017
