Helping Families Honor the Lives Of Those They Love
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Elizabeth Gill, DVM"I can not thank Dr. Elizabeth enough for all that she did to help our little Barney's transition to the Rainbow Bridge go so peacefully - for him and for us. Barney was a miniature poodle and lived for 18 years so he was truly a member of our family. It was an incredible experience to be able to keep him at home. We could be with him and love on him and kiss him goodbye. As difficult as it was was, it was so comforting to know that he was so at peace, thanks to the experience, demeanor and care of Dr. Elizabeth. I highly recommend Lap of Love to anyone who is faced with making this difficult decision.
Thank you again for everything."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Heather Manfredi, DVM"Dear Dr. Heather,

We can't even express the gratitude we feel for the kindness and tenderness in which you administered to our Noelle during the moments preceding, during and after her final journey.
The whole experience is heart wrenching to anyone who has had and loved their fur baby as much as we loved our Noelle.
We are eternally grateful for having found you and the fabulous staff at Lap of Love.

Sincerely,
Geri, Rita & Pete Guccione"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Heather Manfredi, DVM"Thank you to Dr Heather Manfredi - Lap of Love for showing compassion and kindness during Rosie's final moments. She assured us that we made the right choice and allowed us time to grieve and embrace Rosie while she passed comfortably in the comfort of her own home. Jessica Levien Schaier first contacted Lap of Love on December when we knew Rosie's health was failing. From that moment on they stayed in touch and let us know that they were there for anything we needed at any time. When we contacted them that the time was imminent they returned our call immediately and Dr Heather was there within a few hours. The process was peaceful and beautiful ending for Rosie's beautiful life."Michael & Jessica SchaierFreeport, NYMarch 18, 2017

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dawnetta Woodruff, DVM"We are grateful that loving hospice care is available for the furrier members of our family. Dr. Dawnetta was a gifted guide on her initial visit which made planning a peaceful death for Lizzie our gift to her in the face of end-stage lymphoma. With Dr. Dawnetta's help, we were able to offer our sweet golden the opportunity to really enjoy her final week. And she did... getting up on the furniture for the first time, having a popcorn happy hour every evening, and even dumpster diving! In the end, she died peacefully; loved by us and in the sweet and capable care of Dr. Dawnetta. We should all be so blessed."Sally ThomasSt. Louis, MissouriMarch 17, 2017
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jordan Taheri, DVM"Dr. Jordon with Laps of Love came to our home to assist our Scruffie in making her journey over the Rainbow. Thank you Dr Jordon for your kindness and understanding in helping us to give Scruffie a peaceful, stress-free transition. She was our special family member for over 16 years. She would have been 18 in June. The 1st year of her life was spent on the streets of Miami fending for herself thru garbage cans and hand outs. We adopted her from Miami Pet Rescue when she was 18 months . She was a true Survivor. She was a good girl from the very beginning loving her life with us boating, swimming, chasing iguanas off the dock, jogging down the street with Tom, her Dad and just loving life. She was so grateful to us and us to her. We will miss our Scruffie. She was the best and there will never be another like her. Thank you Dr Jordon for caring for our Scruffie and helping us to say goodbye to our special girl."Cheryl DePretoroPompano Beach, FloridaMarch 17, 2017

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Amanda Page, DVM"Dr. Amanda was great. She was very patient with me and asked questions so I could share stories about Jojo when she arrived (which I would have been reluctant to do without her prompting). She was just the right balance of compassionate, informative, and supportive and I felt like she genuinely liked my baby even though she just met him. I did not feel rushed, but she moved quickly when I became uncomfortable. Thank you for making a tough time/decision a little easier."Kristi GallegosCosta Mesa, CaliforniaMarch 17, 2017Jojo's Pet Memorial

She wanted to know about him, gave him pets, and spent time with him. I am so happy that we chose to help him pass at home, surrounded by his brothers and the sounds and smells which were familiar to him. It was peaceful and compassionate. Thank you so much, Dr. Erin. Your compassion was a comfort during one of the most difficult times of my life. Sam and I thank you."Jennifer WarnerPittsburgh, PennsylvaniaMarch 16, 2017Sam's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Annie Dion-Byrd, DVM"This was one of the most difficult decisions I've had to make. Piper was my "Sweet Lil' Baby Girl" and was the happiest when nestled into my neck with her little head on my shoulder. We were both spoiled by the mutual love connection. She was unofficially diagnosed with Lysosomal Compartment Disease, approx 2 yr life span, by our vet after the Specialists were not able to make a diagnosis. Piper always had balance and coordination issues but never suffered except when traveling in a car to and from the vet. She was noticeably losing her hearing and eyesight and showed signs of weakness in her muscles. The worst part is, she was only 2 years and 3 months old and very mentally aware of her surroundings. This is where Dr. Annie comes in. She visited us and watched Piper with us and the other pets and was able to help us feel confident in the dreaded decision. Piper's quality of life as a canine was declining and would soon be non-existent. When Dr. Annie said, "A week early always beats a week late.", I knew we were doing the right thing at the right time for Piper. Dr. Annie's demeanor was so warm and comforting I saw through her eyes the true care and concern in her heart. Thank you so much for what you do and for offering this opportunity to embrace closure in our own home."Lina StrubeLongwood, FloridaMarch 16, 2017
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sandra Simko, DVM"We had never met Dr Sandra before the morning we had to say goodbye to Sirius. She came in and made this incredibly difficult day so much more manageable. There is no way to truly make this occasion good but she made it possible for us to let Sirius go in the easies way we could - with everyone he loved around him. It was all very peaceful. I will be forever thankful to her for that."Karen ErenbergBridgewater, New JerseyMarch 16, 2017Sirius Black's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sally Lynch, DVM"We've had to do this once before and were fortunate enough to have our vet come to our home. It is so much more comfortable and peaceful for these little ones. They are not stressed or scared. That was so important to us. Problem was, this came on so sudden and our vet was not physically able to help us. Sally came with glowing reviews from more than one source and came to our rescue within 24 hours. She showed Gumbo and our family all the kindness and compassion you could ever wish for. What a wonderful and kind person. It was truly a difficult, but peaceful time thanks to Sally. They are some pretty special people in the world and she is one of them."Michelle BinghamMemphis, TennesseeMarch 16, 2017Gumbo's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Amanda Grant, DVM"I want to first say THANK YOU to Dr. Amanda for her professionalism and care for our Buster and our needs. Buster fought a long 11 months once he was diagnosis with cancer. We gave him every opportunity to continue with a good quality of life which he did. So happy Lap of Love was recommended to us by our vet it made for Buster and my family to be in the comfort of our home and to have our Buster leave us with all of us surrounding him. We would recommend this to anyone who wants their pet to leave you in a comforting way...never easy no matter what!"Cindy De PradoHialeah, FloridaMarch 15, 2017
