“There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.”
I certainly appreciate your warmth and sensitivity. You turned a day that could have been very traumatic - into one of sensitivity and appreciation for a life that was not only well lived - but giving and memorable for all who came into contact with my good friend!!
Though we have gone through the end-of-life process with many dogs, those were always in Vet offices. This was our first at-home experience and our Bella did not have to go through the anxiety of visiting the Vet office. Dr. Hilary was so compassionate to both us and Bella. She explained every step of the process and had a very gentle approach. It made a very difficult situation much more peaceful. We were outside saying our goodbyes and comforting Bella, surrounded by the flower gardens, the birds chirping and the sun shining - where she loved spending her time.
Dr. Stephanie was so calm, kind, soft and professional. She spoke with King first, then slowly gave him some pets. She explained her process and we took our time giving him the medication in the two stages. There was no hurry and she listened to my story of how I got King. His birthdate here in the memorial is an approximation. If/when I had to do this again, I would hope to get Dr. Stephanie again.
Thank you Dr Liz for your kind-hearted and wonderful guidance during Kylo’s passing today. You brought beauty and love, supporting us in throughout the entire experience. With much gratitude and appreciation. Billy, Mike and Mace
