Dr. Taylor is the sweetest soul! Making the choice to help my Ryan Reynolds with his transition was unbelievably devastating, and I was also concerned that he would show aggression toward Dr. Taylor. However, his calming presence and patience immediately put us at ease. He calmly explained the whole process and checked in with me at every step. My pup had difficulty settling with his sedation, yet Dr. Taylor did not try to rush it. The whole experience was so peaceful. I wanted to place Ryan (in his basket) into the car, and Dr. Taylor had it set up like a loving memorial, with flowers and candles. The care with which he was treated was heartwarming. I can’t thank him enough!
Our little girl was edging on 19 years, and suddenly she had a change, and it was time to say good-bye. I reached out to Lap of Love - a recommendation from our veterinarian. They were able to accommodate on the same day that I called, and Dr. Bethany Hurley came to our house. From the moment she came in the door, she exhibited such unbelievable compassion and gentleness. She sat down initially to learn about Shasta and what had recently changed. She had a soft yet strong presence, and her conversation and questions were supportive. She approached Shasta's space with caring and calmness. She explained each step and offered expectations. She waited for permission from me before moving into the next step. All the while, she had Shasta's utmost comfort as her priority. She filled those moments with such spirituality and love. It was truly a beautiful experience. We are so thankful for her gift of time and love on that day!
