Dr. Erika was most of the most compassionate vets I have ever met, and she made such a painful and traumatic time a little easier. Our little black cat Raven crossed over the rainbow bridge yesterday morning on National Black Cat Appreciation Day. She was a rescue feral kitten 5 years ago who was badly injured by another animal and not expected to survive. It took a very long time to earn her trust starting with feeding her by spoon under my bed because she was too afraid to come out. She became a very loved and cherished part of our family and cat family and will be missed beyond words. I only was able to ever hold her during this process which was also really tough for me. I find comfort knowing that she would be greeted by other fur babies that have passed over the years. Dr. Erika was amazing and showed so much empathy to us all. Dr Vanessa was compassionate, personable, professional and on-time. She accommodated our request to do this outdoors for Grizz. Everything went as described. She came so well prepared. She educated us on the process, and explained each step as it was happening. She clearly understands the medications, and explained what was happening during the process (or what could happen) to ensure no surprises. She created a calm atmosphere for Grizz, us and for our other cat, Puca. I highly recommend Lap of Love and Dr. V.
Lap of love allowed us to cover the tragedy of losing our girl in the most wonderful blanket of love and light. Outside in the yard with our baby girl surrounded with nothing but love and sun and everything she loved the most. Dr. Kari helped carry our baby to the bridge. 🐾💕 always and forever Zoe girl.
