Dr. Carling treated both my family and our sweet Sanford with such caring and respect. Everything was on our timeline and we never felt that we were being rushed into our final goodbye. She was calm, gentle and loving with Sanford from the time she walked in the door and he seemed to know she was there to take care of him. She told us that based on the information we provided to her and after seeing Sanford that she agreed it was time and that was a huge weight lifted from our shoulders. We were all at peace when his final breath came, including Sanford, and she was just as compassionate as she readied him for his final car ride. It's never easy to say goodbye but having him at home in his own bed gave us all comfort.
Saying goodbye to our baby boy Jerry was one of the hardest things we have ever had to do. We had to say goodbye to his dog brother not even 8 months prior, and although that broke us, we poured everything we had into Jerry to ensure he was okay. But he wasn't okay. We couldn't imagine the possibility of making the decision and sending Jerry to meet Bobby in a hospital, we needed to be home. The blessing of that kindness, gentleness, and privacy cannot be fully articulated. Dr. Emma was soft, patient, kind, and compassionate, and showed so much love to our baby. When I think about that day, I cannot fully express what it meant to me that Dr. Emma was there, making sure Jerry was comfortable, and that we took things at our own pace. Her touch and kindness, and the tear she shed with us, is something I will never forget. We are so grateful that we were able to spend Jerry's final days at home and he was able to cross over to his brother in my arms, in the home he loved.

It would be impossible to give enough thanks for Dr. Jaclyn Colton who came to our home to help us say goodbye to our sweet Stella. She was soft-spoken, compassionate, and empathetic during out time of grief. She gave us all of the time we needed to say goodbye to our sweet stella. She explained every step of the process, . She had us spend as much time as we needed to say goodbye to stella . . She was so kind, and we are so grateful for her and Lap of Love to allow us the gift of saying goodbye to stella surrounded by the family that loved him. I could not recommend her more.
