Seventeen years is an amazingly long time to share your life with your dog- and my family was blessed to have her. While we knew her time with us wasn't going to be long, the final decision happened very quickly. Dr. Goyert didn't rush us through the process- let us all say our final goodbyes and let us love on her while she passed. The entire process felt dignified and at no time did we feel like she was "just a dog". Polly will be dreadfully missed- but Dr. Goyert helped make us feel OK about our decision to end her pain here on Earth.
