Natsuo Nyla Garey

My wife Kimiyo has several things she would say about Natsuo in Japanese, but my favorite is “sugu gorogoro”, which means she purrs quickly, and Natsuo always did. She would start purring loudly whenever you pet her. She also knew exactly how to manipulate me into giving her treats or the food she wanted, which was a problem because she was diabetic (Try telling her that!) But treats or not, food she should not have or not, she lived a happy 18 years, and we were so lucky to have her.

Bailey

Our Bailey ❤️ Bailey was so much more than a dog. She was our girl, my best friend, Grandma’s buddy, and truly such a huge part of our family. She had the biggest personality and was a sassy girl. She was known for her perfect eyeliner above her eyes and her pink belly covered in black spots. She barked a strong game whenever someone came to the door, but she was all talk lol. Underneath it, she was the sweetest baby. Bailey expected her treat from Grandma (a slice of sourdough bread) everyday at 11am. She LOVED bread. Even though dinner wasn't until 6, around 4:30-5 every afternoon she would start reminding everyone that she was apparently starving. Every time one of us walked through the door, she greeted us with a toy in her mouth. She loved her toys - never chewed them up - we called them her babies. She had a love - hate relationship with our two cats, who definitely bossed her around. Somehow, though, the three of them could put their differences aside when it came time to work together and bring us rodents. Bailey was my comfort through so many different chapters of my life. She was always there. Through hard days, changes, heartbreak, happy moments and everything in between, I could always count on her. She didn't have to do anything to make me feel better. Just having her next to me was enough. She was so strong. She went through more than any dog ever should have had to, and she fought through all of it. Even after everything, she was still our Binky. She gave us everything she had. There are a million little things I'm going to miss. Her face, her bark, her little routines, saying "goodmorning baineyyyyy" to her, watching her beg Grandma for bread, seeing her waiting for us with a toy when we came home, her spotted belly, her eyeliner, and just knowing she was there. The house will never feel quite the same without her. I wish more than anything that we could have had her forever, but I'm so grateful that we got the years we did. Bailey, you were the best dog I could have ever asked for and truly my best friend. Grandma was right all along, you really were our angel sent from heaven. And now you're our angel again. I hope wherever you are, you're running around with no pain, eating as much bread as you want, and waiting for us until we can all be together again. I love you forever, Bailey girl. Thank you for being ours. ❤️

Buddy

Before buddy, I didn't realize how dogs could fulfill a person's life. Buddy has transformed my life, making me laugh, care, and believe in myself. Perhaps the greatest gift that Buddy has given me is the ability to love. I will be forever thankful for the opportunity to love and share my life with such a sweet boy. He was so tough and made a paw print on everyone’s heart around him. Everyone who knows me, knows buddy. You’ll forever be my little pumpkin! I love you buddy.
